I do genuinly think that Luigi's Mansion deserves a spot in this list. the amount of puzzles in the game, backtracking levels to collect things, with the added excitement of being chased by ghosts should have earned at least a honorable mention at the end of this list.
I've played it together with my GF and honestly when she was playing, i could enjoy the game just as much simply by watching and solving the puzzles together with her, it was just that much fun.
I've got to agree with other responses that, in it's current state, Pokemon Violet and Scarlet feel way too rushed to have been put on sale already, i'm still playing the Violet version at this moment, and i'll continue to do so, but not a day goes by where i log on and find something that they could have and should have done more properly, where as Luigi's Mansion just feels finished from back to end.
Man gaming was so much easier back in the 90’s when I first started. Today just has way too many options to keep up with unless your a TH-camr or twitch streamer and it’s literally your job to play games. Being a father of a 5 and 7 year old I’ve stopped trying and just start playing the fun games with my kiddos.

Truth! I was looking at all the games on sale in the eshop, and almost bought Hollow Knight, but was like who am I kidding,😅I don’t have time to play through a new game. I still got a long way to go on the newest Pokémon.😂

i don’t play games. well, i didn’t play games. till i picked up a switch lite back in 2020 and breath of the wild. that game changed my perception in gaming. i liked how there’s no one way to solve the problems it present to you. because of that game, my switch game collection is getting bigger. i will always speak highly of that game.
Botw is responsible for the greatest gaming moment in my life.
I'm exploring the world, something catches my attention to the right and when I turn the camera there is an open clearing with a bunch of trees and the way the sun was shining through the trees was just awe-inspiring!

Smash brothers and Mario kart eight deluxe are the best games added to my switch collection and are both masterpieces for massive multiplayer chaos
This is probably the best explanation of what makes BOTW so great. It’s simple. It captures so much about the game without saying anything to spoil it. This game is truly that great. It’s so immersive.

All physical copies. For me personally, I probably would've switched out one of the Pokémon games with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I'd probably add Mario Party Superstars and Monster Hunter Rise to round up my top 10.

i regret buying switch.. as a playstation fan who grew up to love story games like god of war, last of us, horizon, bloodborne, spider-man, uncharted and so on it's pretty hard to switch back to children's games

Haven’t gamed since the 360. Have a 7 & 4 year old & remember I received the N64 in first grade with Mario 64. The games I chose were Switch sports, Odyssey, Smash, Kart, Frontiers, Luigi’s Mansion, & Zombies ate my neighbors… think I’m more excited than them.
haha! Same here. Halo was jam in college, but haven't gamed since. Now I have kids (also 7 and 4), we got my son a Switch for Xmas this year. It came with 1 game, but has rapidly expanded to 5 games in the collection now (Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Splatoon 3, Super Mario Party, and No Man's Sky). It is truly the most amazing console I have ever played, I had to get one for myself less than a week after Xmas :-)

Just bought a switch Oled for my 2 kids. 6 and 8. I bought Mario Odyssey at Walmart on sale for $37. Happy I did. They love it. I love watching them play it. It's dang fun. My son's 9th birthday is coming up, so I'm on the lookout for a second game. The local Library here has Kirby and Luigi's Mansion 3 to check out...stoked about that.

You missed No Man's Sky. I know it's been out forever, but it's still a mind blowing open world experience!
No Man's Sky is TOO MUCH for the Switch. Literally it has an universe making Minecraft's infinite world look stupid.
It's a PC Master Race game in my opinion, you need the hardware power for that and the Switch lacks that (a very weak CPU).
New Super Lucky's Tale is the most underrated game. I don't see anyone mentioning it on their list.
Not to many games to play on Xbox with my 3 and 7 year old kids. They were not interested for what they could play age appropriate. As soon as I bought a Switch for them we do more gaming together. Xbox S to play more mature games my self. And the Nintendo Switch to bond play games together with my kids. Especially after the Mario Movie came out my kids are now familiar with Mario like me back in the 90’s.
Super Mario. Odyssey is my number one spot. Honestly that was the first ever game that I beat alone and it’s honestly a really good 3-D game
My first was animal crossing new horizons,been happy ever since.
Not bad all in all. I would make 3 main changes:
1. Swap Skyward Sword with Links Awakening Remake.
2. Replace Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze with Mario 3d World Bowsers Fury.
3. Skarlet and Violet are trash in their current state. I would replace them with Animal Crossing New Horizons as that is one of the consoles biggest sellers and adds another genre to the list.

Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time. Super Mario Odyssey is probably my favorite switch exclusive, but Breath of the Wild is my favorite game ever.

@@edguyrocks5865 you should absolutely get it! I think it’s the greatest game ever from an exploration standpoint, and I have poured so many hours into it.
@@edguyrocks5865 go grab it. My first play through took me around 4 months which would be perfect for you considering Tears of the Kingdom will be releasing around the time your done.
I’ve now played through it 3 times and am doing the 4th on master mode. It’s a pain and I wouldn’t recommend lol.

what's the difference between arcues and scarlet/violet? googling doesnt make it very clear. they both seem to be released in 2022 but are different games?

rune factory 4 special edition is -THE- best comfy game on switch and im normally a hardcore PC gamer with real time strategy being my main focus and even i found the hellmode to be just right in terms of challenge. Comfy games are normally not acessible to us, grown gamers becuase there isnt enough difficulty and "reason" to do anything. Please try this game thanks

Loved playing every minute of Arceus even tough it’s short and feels a tad incomplete. Never had this much fun in any other switch game except Super Mario Odyssey and maybe undertale.

@@senseidoraemon9341 I haven’t played scarlet/violet but from what I’ve seen there are lots of glitches, so will wait for gamefreak to patch that before buying it. But if you’re a Pokémon fan then arceus is probably one of the best Pokémon games ever, because of how different it is. Would definitely recommend it even if it feels a bit incomplete.
@@senseidoraemon9341 The SV glitches aren't that noticeable. It's more fun than Legends Arceus in my opinion. Like OP said, Arceus feels a bit incomplete and there's not much to do post game except for completing the Pokedex. SV graphics are also a lot better. Framerate is a glaring issue but it doesn't really affect gameplay. All of the glitches I have come across are very small details like the player model disappearing for a split second when throwing a pokeball.

Some solid game recommendations I can't really argue with
I'm sure a ton of yall looked at DKCTF and disagreed (especially coming right after BOTW), but this is seriously a game that does not get enough attention. It's a masterpiece top to bottom, and has one of my favorite OSTs I have seen... or heard. One of the two. Seriously though you will be amazed.
There are many games that I disagreed with being on this list, but DKCTF isn't one of them. The entries I strongly disagree with are Super Mario 3D All-Stars, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus. I haven't played Metroid Dread or Pokemon Violet yet, so I can't judge them. However, I must ask where are Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Luigi's Mansion 3? Those 2 are easily in my top 5. On top of that, I would also add Digimon Survive, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Octopath Traveler and Pokemon Sword, which IMO is the best Pokemon game on Nintendo Switch.

I bought a Switch OLED yesterday, and I use to play Nintendo games in the past, but I grew out of it. Went to PC, but I bought the OLED, and I’m trying to get into it again. Idk if I’m just being arrogant by thinking “oh it’s for kids” but I just want to get back into it and just have fun. It’s hard since I deny my kid self since I had to grow up fast 😂 Maybe that’s just a me thing, but at least I’m trying. Any advice for somebody that’s trying to get into it?
You gotta get Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, I know they're the two main Nintendo franchise games on the Switch, but they really are fantastic. As far as the "it's for kids" thing, I understand that perspective, but it's not really the case. Mario may be a goofy cartoon plumber and Link is a fantasy elf dude, but, as you probably know, that's not really the appeal. In fact, the games poke fun at themselves in that regard. It's all about the way Nintendo crafts the world and challenges. Shigeru Miyamoto (Creator of Mario and Zelda) said that when he's designing a game, he's trying to make it fun and interesting for someone his age, too. He wants it to be fun and engaging for people in their 50s and 60s, etc., as well as younger people.

Basically expand my world of gaming besides basic shooters or RPG’s. But I know I’ll find something. I definitely am looking into Mario Odyssey, heard great things, and I know breath of the wild is good. I just gotta look up my info and see what appeals to me. I wanna get into the bayonetta series, and see how that is
I’m new to this console so I bought Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros Ultimate from Amazon. Should get these by Monday. I was a big fan of Mario on the super Nintendo. Thanks to this video, I have an idea for the next game after I get through these thank you.

I can’t do Skyward Sword. I can’t see a difference between the “HD” version that is 60 bucks compared to the Wii version. I respect the improved controls though.
It has higher resolution as well as 60 fps. Seeing it in motion is amazing.
I'm playing scarlet rn and I gotta say it's mediocre at best. Yes it's open world but it's very hollow feeling. The game needs side quests number one and more to discover in the world. The Tera system may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen and to me doesn't make much of a difference. The TM system is also kinda lame and so are the gym tests. Overall I'm glad someone gave me the game and I didn't pay 60 bucks. I'm just very disappointed in it.
Hey there :) I have a question about the Pokemon games. I watched a bit of Pokemon gameplays and it seems to me that in the version of purpur the people in the game talk a lot (which can get on ones nerves after a while) but I am not sure. Therefore I was thinking about playing the sword edition first. What is the opinion of people who already played a few of the new Pokemon games?

I'm surprised you did not say Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana or elder scrolls 5 Skyrim. Both of which are significantly better than most of the games you just mentioned except for the Legend Zelda breath of the wild.
Ys Viii Lacrimosa of Dana and Xenoblade Chonicles 2 are both incredible. Xenoblade has the better story but Ys Viii is definitely the better overall game.
