My Version of Georgia's IMBA Epic Trail // Also Had a Scary Trail Encounter

The Bull and Jake Mountain IMBA Epic trail is a great one to do if you're new to the trail system. It really allows you to see a little bit of everything, so you can then go back and leave out some parts. To be fair, I have my own strong preference with the riding direction for Bull and Jake Mountain, so when I rode them both as the original IMBA Epic trail a long time ago, I didn't enjoy it much. On Bull, you go up Bare Hare, which in my opinion is one of the best downhill parts on Bull. On Jake, you miss the awesome flowy fast bits and the downhill on no-tell. With that I usually just ride one or the other, although, if you park at Bull and ride to the Jake Mountain parking lot and connect back to the trail there and go all the way around, back torwards Bull, you could go up Bull counterclockwise and ride it all the way up and down and back around to the Bull parking lot. On Bull I ride clockwise, and Jake, I ride counterclockwise.
If any of you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw my little PSA for riding alone. I do this sometimes and unfortunately on this ride, I ran into a man when I was the last one out there who was a little unsettling to say the least. I always carry some form of protection, but it's a good reminder to always stay alert of your surroundings and listen to your gut.

Sorry to hear about his pup! That is awful and I hope he recovers very quickly! Also, I been lazy riding my bike but this video really made me miss the sound of my hub and the tires rolling over roots!! I need to get out there again

Hope your puppy makes a full recovery. Glad you made it out of the parking lot safely. If you know any of your local police ask them if they can get you the Pepper Spray they use. You can’t buy the strength they use. It will stop someone. This was a great video. Be safe and pedal safe

Bull lot is def sketchy. 15 mins and a couple miles up a dirt road with random hill billy houses/sheds scattered around, would not recommend after dark. Also, does Lace see you get ready to ride and get excited thinking she gets to go to? What does she do when you leave without her?
