Dear Sir,Vadodara State was not first to merge with India but it was Bhavnagar who signed first.Pratapsinh Gaekwad was never a good ruler but in fact he spent maximum money of Vadodara state for his debauch life and even gave away famous diamonds and valuable artifacts to his second French wife and other concubines.
Truth is you Gujjus cannot digest historical fats that Maratha ruled Gujarat.

@@vijaysapre6470 Please first check your facts , it was the Peshwa who first entered in the treaty with the British in 1802 , after Yashwantrao Holkar had captured Pune, which lead to the Second Anglo-Maratha war as Shinde(Scindia) and Bhosale didn't accept the treaty, and what about what Nanasaheb did with Chhtrapati in 1752, Shahu Maharaj in his will had ordered the Peshwa to run the administration with the orders of the new Chhtrapati Ramraja ,but Nanasaheb rather forced the Chhtrapati with the Sangola pact and took all the powers with him making him the titular head, and do you also know the fact that Nanasaheb with the help of the British attacked Vijaydurg in 1756 and destroyed the Maratha navy under Tulaji Angre which eventually left the Indian coast wide open to the British.

Nanasaheb (may have took advantage of bhosale family feud, but ) all he did was, he completed his duty by executing will of late shahu.
By defeating tara rani , releasing new chh. instating him and making tara rani go away to stop the further interference.
When a grandmother's ambition is against own chh. How can u blame powerful nanasaheb not to take the whole control?
(नानासाहेब must be blamed for dabhade-angre unfair दमन)
But gaikwads were never दूध के धुले.
(So were nagpur bhosale and dabhade, their was lack of respect from them towards satara गादी, and these both always had ambition to separate from satara bhosle dominance-अधिपत्य)
