Maharaja Malharrao Holkar was present in the Battle of Panipat but Miltary Incharge Sadashivrao Bhau had told to take care and protect Maratha RajSriya ( राज- स्रिया ) in Battle Field and was intructed to leave the Battle Field with those Royal Ladies when you feel that battle is going to loose and protect these Ladies.This trustworthy job entrusted on him as he was well settled in that Region and having his good relation with neighbouring Raja' s.Accordingly he left the battle with these Ladies with his ten thousand soldiers and with the help of Raja Surajmal Jaat he brought all the Royal Ladies in Pune without obstacle .
I feel this part of Holkar became one of the reasons of defeat in Panipat .If Malharraoji would have been allowed to fight in the battle of Panipat by Sadashivrao Bhau then entire picture of the Panipat battle would have been changed as Malharrao was that much brave and strategic in fighting with his ten thousand army and would have been won in Panipat .But these are the matters of If and Then . Ultimately Fact is Fact which we must have to accept.

Circumstances were different in those days. Mr. Ambedkar proclaimed his allegiance to queen of England while receiving Bar- at- Law, then would you call him spineless and prideless ?
@@Berar24365 everyone was pledging their allegiance to British crown as their emperor and there was nothing wrong in it till British crown was in force. But when almost all Muslim kings inside India too were scrambling to merge themselves with new Islamic state of Pakistan such Hindu kings indeed seem like prideless. He must have forgotten that his ancestors had fought for Chhatrapati Shivaji's Hindvi Swarajy . I wouldn't mind his allegiance to British crown till he gained independence but after getting choice and freedom his will to join Pakistan is certainly sheds light on fickle and prideless mindset of some hindus

Malhar Rao was a great warrior and helped Bajirao 1 to expand the Maratha empire. Ahilya Bai was an extraordinary administrator and a pious soul who kept up the Holdkar reputation and flag. Unfortunately this great clan had also a main like Tukoji Rao second, who is said to be involved in debauchery, during the British rule. His behavior and several acts severely damaged the reputation of Holakrs during his time, as I personally know from my late father and others who personally witnessed goings on during Tukoji Rao second's reign. Successive generations are often not able to keep up to the high moral standards of their ancestors.

It was a nice video. But you should invite Dr Uday Kulkarni to discuss maratha empire during peshwa period. And also one request please make video about Peshwa and Mughal relations over the period 18th century. How they coexisted. And why maratha's think mughals are important on Delhi ki gadi.

But we want video which discusse about Maratha and Mughal relationship over period of 18th century, how and why they coexisted. You can also refer a Marathi channel th-cam.com/video/zWkcPfavxoU/w-d-xo.html. They always discuss history with politics use to happen with that period, and also shows us authentic document.

They were not even kings they were prime minister to Chhatrapati

Then too there is a section which always says peshwa period

@@om_2020 Peshwa period was when the Peshwas had become the defecto rulers of the Maratha Empire. The Maratha Emperors were just puppets or ceremonial leaders. They no longer held any real power. By the end of the 18th century, historians tend to refer to the Maratha Empire as the Maratha Confederacy because the Peshwa had lost control of all the princely states such as the Holkars and Gaekwads which had virtually become independent states.
