I can relate to this. Around my 5 grade year I stopped going to school completely and I stopped finding reasons to get up in the morning. Til this day I struggle to find a way to get up. 🤷🏼♀️

So I told them I was fine, regret overdosing, told them I overdosed once when really I attempted 3 times in that week, but they still don’t know. They didn’t really believe me because they had no evidence but no one was ever meant to find out so I just admitted to the last overdose. After lying my way out of hospital, I only stayed for 2 days. Thank god. But I needed and still need the help I wish I never lied.

Hi! I'm here to answer that question. For starters, someone can get it seemingly out of the blue. They can have a seemingly perfect life and still get mental illness. How is this you ask? Chemical imbalances. Neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin are lacking when someone has depression or anxiety, but cortisol is too high. Genetics also play a factor. Please be mindful that no story is exactly the same!
