The Crooked Man, a spin-off of this movie, was in the works a few years ago but it was delayed in favor of fast-tracking production on The Nun. Eventually James Wan announced that the movie isn’t moving forward. He did express hope for a potential future release though.
You don’t have to worry about Ed dying in these movies. Lorraine too. He died in 2006 & she died in 2019. I think when we watch these movies we’re so emotionally invested & fully immersed in the experience that we forget these are real people because I think I was also worried for him when I first saw this in theaters too lol.
The Conjuring 2 is my favorite horror movie, I just love it. I love the fact that they explore the characters and make us care about them, emotional moments, Ed and Lorraine are simply incredible.
