Christoph Waltz won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Hans Landa. The film was also nominated for Best Picture, Director, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Sound Editing, & Sound Mixing.
This is easily one of my favorite movies of all time. I love how different Christoph Waltz is in this as opposed to Django Unchained, just the total opposite characters but amazing performances in both!
Inglourious Basterds is Quentin Tarantino’s 3rd highest-grossing film at the worldwide box office behind Django Unchained & Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
During the burning theatre scene, the flames got too hot, and close, and Eli Roth got a little scorched. You could see him on the balcony kind of duck down and turn away for a second when it happened. Great reaction!👍
Leonardo DiCaprio was the first choice for Hans Landa, which Michael Fassbender originally auditioned for, but Tarantino decided that a German-speaking actor should play the part. DiCaprio would eventually play the primary antagonist in Tarantino's next film, Django Unchained.
Definitely one of Tarantino’s best films! When Landa arrived at the restaurant and the moment Shosanna heard his name, the look on her face along with the theme being played, you could just feel the tension and fear that she was feeling. Superb acting!
14:48 They're in France. The Nazi army invaded and occupied her country so no, even if she hadn't been a Jew whose whole family was murdered by "the jew hunter" she wouldn't be feeling friendly towards them.
While in reality Wehrmacht was bad at soft skills...and employed very harsh methods..hence they got more "what for" .. Tarantino..even though a masterpiece..has taken his sweet liberties in making the movie..

He's awesome in Django too!
What gave him away was how he signaled „3 glasses“ with his fingers. We use the thump, pointer and index finger to signal „3“.

Landa knew who Shoshanna was. He enjoys the hunt. That’s why he ordered her the milk.

The final act is so fantastic.

I love Christoph Waltz! He also won an Oscar for Django Unchained! Greetings from Germany❤
Christopher Waltz is phenomenal in this
I wish Shosanna had survived 😔
WTF how many soldiers does Private Zoller have to kill to make Corporal.

Well, Zemo didn't work with HYDRA. He despised them, since he hates ultra supremacists.
