Thank you Tony for mentioning the 11 meterband conditions. And yes some guys are working LP. BTW we are always looking for new SugarDelta members. 73's 19SD188 Andy

I don’t do CB allot but thought that having a CB in the shack would be a good idea so I purchased the A99 a year and a half ago and it works really well although I have not had a chance to use it on 10m even though My Icom HF radios tuners should be able to tune up 10M on the A99! I am using the Uniden 980SSB with my A99! 73 K4BBC

The band plan for 20M, makes room for slow morse on 14.055Mhz. Give it a go.

Great idea for a video Tony, nice to see you using the ic-7610. It's the best HF radio I've ever owned, absolutely fantastic. On your point about the level of noise during the Winter months, it always seems to be worse for me at my QTH around this time - I think this is mainly because in the surrounding area, there are lots more devices plugged in such as LED Christmas lighting and the like. If I don't see you beforehand, I wish you and the team a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. (Personally, I think Martin should open up on Boxing Day so we can get some relief from all those mince pies 😅).

    thanks for the demo.
I have an IC-7610 myself and I notice that you are using a few settings incorrectly. ( my opinion ).
The bandwidth is set to 2.4, which can cause distorted sound from people broadcasting at 3.0khz and even in Essb.
If you are experiencing interference next to your frequency, you can still shift left or right with the filter.
With strong interference it is better to leave the AGC on slow, this keeps the signal more stable and you will not have a pumping effect by leaving it on Fast. 73’s Manu ON7FQ

Good demonstration Toni . Be good if you could use a less expensive radio such as the second hand stuff off the shelf, to show how well the older stuff works Cheers.

The older gear works great. I'm closing in on 10 meters DXCC with a castoff Siltronix 1011D and a roof rescue Penetrator.

Love the look of the ic7610 but never had one. I have a FTDX101MP for HF and Ic9700 for vhf/uhf plus a 705 for use in my caravan in the summer. I love the easy operating and set up of the icoms but have never been convinced that the 7610 is as good as the 101mp. Be interested to hear from anyone whose had both for their opinions and views on both. G0NWX
