  • I saw a video from Nik the Booksmith. She makes beautiful marbled papers. So... I wanted to try it too. In a different way and not as beautiful, but I like them and that's good enough :-) I have to practice some more...

    Thank you! 🙏🏽 this is the first time I’ve seen it done with acrylics.... I’ve tried inks in different brands & techniques without happy results ... But these turned out amazing and looks really straight forward 🤍 & I love marbling

    I’m so behind with finding this, but they look beautiful. The book head and tail bands I think is what you were referring to with the book. Love your art.

    Fabulous technique for marbling paper. I think they turned out really nice and they are unique patterns. Your journals will be lovely. I bought 15 Readers Digest condensed books from a charity last year on eBay very cheap and I am making a few of them in to journals. I will PM you. Hugs xxxxxx

    In English the word is "Headband" usually it's faked with a tight pinstriped fabric with a cord rolled in it and glued. Hope that helps.. Love your creativity blessings from across the pond from NJ USA

    How did you mix the paint that is in your bottles?
    How did you get your paper so flat after dipping them?
    Going to give it a go.

    So I have spray inks/ paints already so I don’t have to buy a marbelling kit to try this .These look amazing ! How long Did they take to dry ? Overnight or with a heat tool?

    • @Trompke
      @Trompke  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Overnight I think, I don't remember :-) But the heat tool wurks fine too I guess. Good luck and thanks!

    I don't know if you'll respond but I'm a student trying to do marbled papers for an art project. I'm don't the acrylic pain sprays you have. I have acrylic paint itself though, will putting it in a spray bottle with some water get this same effect?

    • @Trompke
      @Trompke  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. Yes you can make your own spray paints with acrylic paints. The spray bottles you use have to spray very fuzzy. The paint has to float on the water when you spray. If the paint sinks it won't work. Good luck with you project!

    I didnt know the acrylic paint can be sprayed. Did you dilute the paint with water?

    • @CassieJFox
      @CassieJFox 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      candle. Spray bottles at Hobby Lobby, mixed some regular hobby/ craft acrylic paints in bottles. Used the spray to create a splattered, dripping look for a watercolor painting.

    I think it's headbands and footbands.
    It's what I call them anyway.

    I wanted to reach in and change the freaking water. The paint was barely visible on that murky background. I also expected perhaps some different techniques rather than 10 done the exact same way. They looked good but this was a 5 minute video as far as "how to" do anything goes.

  • @kerrijaneerickson6641
    @kerrijaneerickson6641 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok, cool technique. However if i can make a few suggestions for your future videos. Be sure the tools and supplies are ready to use, also a clean station is important to maintain throughout your projects (the dirty water affected the final outcome), less distrupting the integrity of the colors is controlled by the way you disturbed the water with the toothpick moving it around to fast (one swoop gently will keep the colors vibrant and better marble styles), finally shortening your videos will keep the viewers attention and attract more people in the long run.
    I hope you can take my suggestions as a good thing and try out the same project again while using the tips ive given you and let me know if ive helped out. It should be a positive impact on the next time you make your marble art.
    Be well
    Salute
