Please Note : You do not have to use paper towels on top ( it is an optional step) and you can leave to dry without last step . I used it as it makes the drying process quicker and avoids lumps of ink on the surface.
That was a beautiful display of beautiful backgrounds very impressing I would like to know what kind of paper you used it seems like it might be just a typing paper
With all the marbling vids I have watched, I've never seen someone mix shaving cream with water. But it was BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much. I can't wait to try it.
Your presentation was excellent. I appreciate the fact that you spoke distinctly and did not slur your words and also spoke slowly so I could follow everything you were saying without stopping and starting again. This was so much fun. Thank You.
..Fatema ji, some suminagashi artists prefer thickening the water a bit using cornstarch or similar items before sprinkling the paints...So. .is it really important to thickening the water every single time?...Thank you... . 🙏🏼
I just came back from the shops and saw a shop sell marble paper for wrapping presents. Great your showing people how to make it themselves here. Very well explained.
I am well pleased with your instruction. You give great information without a lot of fuss and that pleases me. An additional perk is your melodious voice. Thank you for your thoughtful video! Peace to you.
lovely! The paper towels used for dabbing off the excess can.be dried n.used.in journalling.....the design replicated on them makes them too.pretty to discard!!thk u Fatema for this enjoyable tutorial
Thank you for a lovely video ,you presented it brilliantly. I've been experimenting with marbling and I used oil paint thinned with turps instead of inks it works very well too.
Dear Fatema, I'm so happy for you! This is the very first Muslim woman's youtube video I have ever seen! I don't know why that is, but I'm really glad you are out there breaking stereotypes (of Muslim women stuck at home in silence). The more people doing this out there, the more (especially fearful non-Muslims) will see that we are all the SAME! Great video too! Love, Pat
Thanx:)...what you do sounds lovely. You can use tragacanth for ebru art. Its best to use tragacanth. Also a very natural thing you can use which will thicken the water is cornflour. It will give you more control with moving the inks around. I might do an episode about using thicker in water to create ebru art as in this episode I just covered a very basic way of marbling.
That was beautiful. Clear and to the point. Your voice is very clean. Easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to show all of us who are interested. Please keep it up.
Thank you Fatema. I was given a set of marbling paints for Christmas and my first couple of attempts, based on what I remember from a video on TH-cam of an old documentary (you might have seen it, but just in case, it's called 'Art of the Marbler' and I found it really inspiring; it's what made me interested in doing it for myself) were quite a failure. I'm going to have another go now, after perhaps a trip to the shop for some shaving foam, following your brilliant instructions!
Thank you for your beautiful video. As a preschool teacher, I would use the shaving foam without the water. But I will have to try your method as well.
Do you have to use printing weight paper or can you use thicker paper? Is there any way to have more control over the disbursement of the ink so you can make very slightly more precise patterns? I know it's random which is the point but it would be cool to do leaf effects or something incorporated in sections.
Thank you for this video it was easy to understand en clear. I like to show you too mine grandchild we are dutch but she will understand it I think .And than we gone try this. Can we use watercoler white oil ?
Thank you for the great explanations and, presentation of how to create the marbel look. However, I am still having a lot of problems. The ink, which i purchased at Michael's ,and, A.C.Moore, drowning at the bottom of the water's tray. I mix it, shake it, and, dance with it, but, it leaves a very cloudy look on top of the water's tray. Can you suggest the type of ink? and, where do I get it? I loved the Ebru method, and, would love to learn it. Thank you again, for the beautiful presentation, and, for the help, that i may be getting from you. Judy
Thank you for watching my episode. If the ink does not float that means there isn't enough of the oil element in the inks. Looks like the inks have mostly colour pigments. I have done a review on the inks I used (check it out) as they are good inks to use for beginners. I purchased them from ebay. So u can get them online. Most arts and crafts shops should have them. If you encounter any problems I am happy to help. Thanks again.
Awesome video. I'm making a book from scratch and am going to be doing the edge of the pages & inside of the hardback covers. I think ink is the best probably since it should stay on the paper edges better since they will be handled a lot. Not sure if acrylic paint will last. I just need to find somewhere locally that sells the ink. I don't know if walmart has it. Will finger nail polish work as good do you think & be as durable? Thanks for sharing.
Though, you have to thicken the water in which you'll put the ink; otherwise, the water will just color itself. To do it you use carrageenan, look up on the internet for "sizing" the water with that ingredient
I have 2 different brands of marbling inks and they behave quite differently. I have Pebeo and Brian Clegg, so it would be nice to know which brand you are using please. Thankyou.
I don't add anything to the water. It's just water and marbling ink. This is the easy way to marble, perfect for beginners and school children. Hope that helps
I just love the serendipitous process and taking the results as though one has a partner unseen in the results. Thank you. i am inspired. Now... to find the extra time. That's harder!
Please Note : You do not have to use paper towels on top ( it is an optional step) and you can leave to dry without last step . I used it as it makes the drying process quicker and avoids lumps of ink on the surface.
thanks for that
Fatema's Art Show aap jisme paint karti hai wo kya thing hai please bataei na
That was a beautiful display of beautiful backgrounds very impressing I would like to know what kind of paper you used it seems like it might be just a typing paper

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I’m sure many people will find this useful for many years to come.
So Happy to help and Thanks for the support 😊
Could these techniques be used to finish a guitar body and then lacquered over to provide a hard-wearing, protected finish ?
I wouldn't recommend paper marbling inks for a guitar body but I seen people do hyrodipping (immersive printing) for a similar finish on many objects.
With all the marbling vids I have watched, I've never seen someone mix shaving cream with water. But it was BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much. I can't wait to try it.
Thank you for watching. Hopefully more videos like these coming soon:)
Thank you for your lovely comments. I am so happy to have helped anyone learn this beautiful process.
Can you tell me the type of colour which you used
You are so sweet. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

There are methods you do but in this method you don't have to

جميل ماشاء الله تسلم ايدك من اين احصل علي الالوان وما هو الاسبراي الابيض الي تم رشه
If you used warm water, your colors would have dissolved better and helped to blend into the paper much better. Just an idea.
Thanks for sharing your tips 👍
I'm going to give this a go, this is great.
Great. Let me know how it goes 👍😃
The second method is really amazing👍
Happy to help ☺️ Thanks for the comment 💗

Really happy to help 😃 Thank you for watching and for your support
I am going to make this project with my 6th grade students. So beautiful. Thank you.
Your welcome 💗 best wishes on your project.
Thank you for a lovely video ,you presented it brilliantly. I've been experimenting with marbling and I used oil paint thinned with turps instead of inks it works very well too.
+Sharon Winter How much do you thin it down? :)
+ConstanceMarkiewicz I put enough turps to the oil to make it the same consistency as ink.
+Sharon Winter Thanx for watching. Great idea sharon.
You are so creative and encouraging. I think this channel is AWESOME!!!
Sister Superglue Thank you so much for the support :)

Can you use nail polish? Can you also use canvas instead of paper?
Which paper we have to take
That was beautiful. Clear and to the point. Your voice is very clean. Easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to show all of us who are interested. Please keep it up.
Thank you for watching! :)
great video. which manufacture of inks do you use?
Fatema,
great video! I can use this idea as I teach 2 - 4 year old children in Northeast Thailand. Thanks very much for your time and effort.

hi hon.. great video! Can u use this same process using fabric such as silk?
THANK YOU, VERY NICELY SPOKEN AND DEMONSTRATED.
LOVELY OUTCOMES.
This was quite fun to watch and a good instruction video.
Can we use ordinary water colours and oil to get a marbling effect or even maybe oil paints instead of marbling inks. Thanks
Amazing work 💯💯
Thank you 💗
Thank you for your beautiful video. As a preschool teacher, I would use the shaving foam without the water. But I will have to try your method as well.
Thank you for your comment. Good luck 👍
Would it be possible to do the same with prepped plastic (sanded and primed)?
Do you have to use printing weight paper or can you use thicker paper? Is there any way to have more control over the disbursement of the ink so you can make very slightly more precise patterns? I know it's random which is the point but it would be cool to do leaf effects or something incorporated in sections.
This is SO cool! Congratulations Fatema!!

your video is really perfect.
but in egypt we don't have these marbling colors, can i use acrylic or pigment colors????
Hi. you can use nail polish. you can watch my marbling with nail polish episode if you want to know how to do that
Thank you for the great explanations and, presentation of how to create the marbel look. However, I am still having a lot of problems. Thank you so much Fatima! Easy step by step instructions, I cannot want to experiment with the shaving foam technique .
Great. Your welcome 👍
Awesome! What brand name paint ink you use to stay on top ? Thank you.
Scola marbling inks. I did a review for these in my channel. Thanks for watching :)

+Nesmaniac Thanks for watching. Sounds like a nice project. Yes finger nail polish will work. I have a episode on that on my channel.
Congratulations you're very creative.in 2. step you used a foam. did you used what type of foam for example mousse or shaving foam
Thank you! I used Shaving Foam.
Love this because it's well explained and makes it seem so easy. Can't wait to try it. Thank you Fatema X
Thank you . Happy to help:)
Beautiful work! some people are mixing some powder or gel. would you pleased telling me what kind of powder that is enough the name or type ? thanks
Have you tried using food colouring and does it fade?
thanks for sharing. I will like to know if is only water? and I can use acrilic paint? or where can I find the coleurs???
Angeles GB Acrylic paint may need to be thinned out with water first to get the consistency of ink. I would certainly give it a try though. :)
Thank you Mel!!
Though, you have to thicken the water in which you'll put the ink; otherwise, the water will just color itself. To do it you use carrageenan, look up on the internet for "sizing" the water with that ingredient
Great video thanks for the tips.
Thank you! You are welcome 😃
Thankyou...for explaining so well
Thank you
So simple and effective. Thank you.
Thank you! :)
Thank you so much Fatema, that's awesome and so helpful to.
Hello Fatema, can you use fabric with these inks?
Great video. Does this work with water colour?
Unfortunately it doesn't. But it works with nail polish/varnish. Check out the video on my channel which shows you how to do this
Would it not be better to use a second piece of paper to dab of the colours. Would it not give you a similar but different print per cycle ? ? ?
Good idea. Yes you could or you don't need to dab at all. You can just leave it as it is because the colour will be stronger. Thanks for watching
Can you use food colouring instead of marbling paint?
Unfortunately no because it needs to float to the surface of the water
Fatema this so amazing!
Thank you ! ❤️
So beautiflul. Just what I was looking for. Thanks so much.
Lovely! Thanks Fatema
Thanks from Argentina, great!
Your welcome 👍😃
Thanks Fatema! Wonderful and clear instructions 😊
Hiii, can i use canvas painting board instead of paper?
Yes it should work 👍
I have 2 different brands of marbling inks and they behave quite differently. I have Pebeo and Brian Clegg, so it would be nice to know which brand you are using please. Thankyou.
Are you adding caragenen to your water?
I don't add anything to the water. It's just water and marbling ink. This is the easy way to marble, perfect for beginners and school children. Hope that helps
Beautifully presented
Thank you for the video! And I loved your hajib!

+Haman Al-Baker Thank you for watching! My pleasure
Do you use tap water and is the temperature crucial ? what temp should it be ? thanks

Thank you for watching 🙂

Well, that was different! Thank you.
