      Also how to store carrageenan?

    • @TheLingChang

      I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!! After it’s been mixed with water, I store the carrageenan in the fridge. In powder form, I store it in a jar in a cool dry place

      Thanks Zackary! In my second session, I experimented with smaller splatters and I think they turned out pretty well too - stay tuned!

    This is so cool and fun to watch!! It reminds me of when I would marble my nail polish 😂 the purple/black/one is my favorite 😊

      Thanks Rachel!! Marbling nail polish sounds so fun. I used to be really into painting my nails but now they just get ruined so quickly with all the hands-on work I do LOL

    I have pratice on paper using liquid starch and works well. However not very successful with a canvas the color blends and runs. Any ideas

    those are sweet good job...for a rookie :) i am no interior designer and my style is probably dated :) however, that seaweed at 5:55 looks like nice high end wallpaper and could be hung on as an accent wall in a room ?? would need to be on much larger paper but that design is very nice

      @TheLingChang  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Kazeeky!! I like the seaweed one a lot too, agree it would make a cool accent wall maybe for a bathroom!

    Thank you for sharing. Does the solution have to be put in the refrigerator to set or can you leave it out?

    • @TheLingChang
      @TheLingChang  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can probably leave it out if you plan to use it as soon as it sets!

    Do you plan on adding a finish to the marbled leather? I would worry about the paint scraping off with use

    • @TheLingChang
      @TheLingChang  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes for sure! I've purchased a few finishes and sealers that I'm excited to try out. Do you have any recs?

  • @weselsmith
    @weselsmith 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve been buying marbled paper for my journals. I really need to just make it myself!! What dyes did you use? Also doing it on leather is ingenious!

    • @TheLingChang
      @TheLingChang  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Woah cool! Do you use it to wrap your journals? I used these dyes: www.dickblick.com/items/jacquard-marbling-class-pack-set-of-8-/
      I'm so excited to try it on leather. Have fun marbling!

      @@TheLingChang Yeah, I use it for the cover boards. I usually do a coptic stitch so the bindings exposed. Best of luck doing it with leather!
