Nice video thinking of going to with my 2 kids would u say tulum had better vibe than the coba? Just don’t know if worth paying extra to stay at tulum side
We were debating about the two as well. We ultimately picked Tulum because of the kids side separate to the more adult side as there’s two pool sections. Beachfront is a bit better too. You can also experience Coba if you stay in Tulum and notice the vibe is a bit better. Feels more airy and open. Hotels are white and look prettier while Coba had orange buildings if you care about aesthetics and “feel”. Coba seemed more like a building and somewhat smaller areas but their water park looked fun and colourful. My friend liked the buffet in Coba because it felt more formal with dining tables and table clothes but Tulum felt more like you were in Mexico with their layout lol a lot of the restaurants are on the Coba side as well but you’re also restricted to the restaurants in Coba as opposed to Tulum and Akumal. It also depends if you want to do exertions or see some attractions. Tulum has great places outside of the resort nearby. Honestly if it’s a few thousands that you can save then Coba should be fine. Same food and everything. The kids will have fun regardless. It was our first vacation so we went with the more expensive because the beach and the ambiance was nicer in my opinion having seen both, and the price difference at the time wasn’t that bad so we didnt mind paying extra
I'm looking to book at this resort in november. im hesitating between akumal and tulum and the coffee shop was a plus for akumal, how's the coffee from the machine at the lobby ?
Hi! Jen here- I used the coffee machine a lot and it was okay. Nothing special outside of a typical machine. However, there’s always servers walking around asking if you’d like anything like coffee and I would always get cappuccino and it was good but if you need something quick without bothering a server, then the machine does the trick too. To be honest, I had the same dilemma between picking the two resorts. Here’s my opinion: I would say, pick Tulum if you’re going with kids just for the kids club and how they’ve extended the kids water park area, playground and kids club. Also, it’s cheaper than Akumal for almost very similar stuff. Ultimately though, if it wasn’t for kids and pricing, I would go to Akumal. Their beach is way better, they have more restaurants that isn’t capped to 4 which Tulum there is a limit, and you have the option to go to the other two resorts if you wish. If they have a nice coffee shop it would be a plus for me too since coffee is important haha
Love ur video, esp how detailed the kids area is! Did u guys book the junior suite or the premium superior? Also, did u bring a car seat for ur little one, we’ll be traveling with a 3 yr old. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for watching ! We booked the junior suite which was enough for us. We were able to move our rooms to somewhere closer to the kids area though. It was so helpful because the resort is really big. Walking everywhere would have been more tiring for our little one because we didn’t bring a stroller. And no, there’s no need to bring a car seat. The less to bring the better ! Mila was able to move around her seat and had a better experience on the plane and shuttle without being strapped in ! They’ll do just fine without it in my opinion
With Air Canada, yes. They wait for you with signs up and you give them your name to make sure you’re on the list. It takes over an hour to travel to Tulum. In our case, 3 hours because they drop off other people in different resorts who are riding with you on your shuttle
Hi guys, need some help here. Traveling next week and unfortunately haven't found a reliable or inexpensive transportation company. Someone is trying to charge almost $400 for a round trip. We are flying into Tulum so will need a company that operates out of there. Any help, or information would highly appreciate it. Thank you

Aww haha ❤
Awesome video. If your kid is over 12 do they have a teens club here or anything?
Thank you for watching ! They do have a teens club as well !
am going there in 3 moths to akumal for the first time looks good
I heard Akumal is just as good if not better ! Have an amazing trip bro !
Was that sofa transformed into additional sleeping or they gave you one king bed for 4 people?
The sofa is also a pull out and you can request for extra mattresses, pillows, blankets and linen if you need it!
Im going in June
Have a great time bro !
Did you guys have a bus shuttle from the airport to the resort?
With Air Canada, yes. They wait for you with signs up and you give them your name to make sure you’re on the list. It takes over an hour to travel to Tulum. In our case, 3 hours because they drop off other people in different resorts who are riding with you on your shuttle
How was the water temps for the kids ?
We went in January and the beach was surprisingly warm. Of course the pool was more chilly in the beginning but it was perfect with the heat

ive when to kuba the beach is the same
Nice ! We’re not missing out too much then lol
Anyone leaving at the end of march
Hope you ended up going !
I just do not like the open bathroom concept
Yeah I know lol but as long as the toilet had a closed door then that’s fine 🤣
Too strong waves 🌊 for swimming….
It was fun to catch the waves but yeah, definitely too strong to swim in if you don’t like to be pushed back all the time 😂
