She is not probably not good enough. After Wimbledon her career may be over. she is 18 and did not make it to top 300 so far.. that is not star potential

@@derbenutzer4648 This is her second tournament, so not being in the top 300 doesn't mean anything. She is young, has a lot to learn, and a lot more to prove. However don't dismiss her potential after making the 4th round of a slam, at her second tournament, while beaten players in straight sets.

@@lanngo6351 what on earth is a "head case"? Emma may have suffered breathing problems in her last match due to panic and emotions, does that make her a head case?
I first became aware of Emma last year at the Battle of the Brits where she was beating players hundreds of places higher in the rankings. But more than that, it was her sheer enthusiasm that struck me. I am delighted she is doing so well--long may it continue.

Gauff hasn’t lost a set and has consistently been in the second week of slams. But Swaitek has been insane. She’s been dismantling her opponents.
@@joser1853 gauff gives me the jitters, i see her play and that serve is awful, one part of her game if she improves she will dominant just like serena, her body is still in development, and one look at her dad means she will be strong in 3 or 4 years time, she will dominant

How wonderful she is. Delightful and so capable it seems, with her entire team to deal with the press. I don't feel a number of the question are predictable, inane and lack real relevance to her performance. She has a real charisma.

This is the reason I think, dont quit school and become a pro at such a young age. She is so well rounded and full of wisdom at a young age, furthermore being a native English speaking person, being asked questions in English as well is different if English is not your first language. But, only time will tell, would she be a Barty or Osaka in 3 years time when dealing with the press. Only hoping for the best for her future....
The reporters should direct their questions at the game of tennis, no need to ask her about her parents and so on. Very unprofessional.

It's nice but even the older players, when they broke thru at a slam, probably acted a similar way with the press like here.

The media needs to stop asking younger players irrelevant questions; like her parents’ name and what industry they’re in! She’s at the press conference to talk about her match!
To me those questions aren't irrelevant. As fans we want to get to know these players, how they got into tennis, where and how they grew up and how that affected their careers. Of course without going into really private stuff.
Never been a great fan of the, "What do your parents do?" question, in any context. The fact that it is being asked by a journalist doesn't make it any less gauche.
@@milanamaricic3790 I would say asking someone about their parents' first name and their jobs isreally intrusive, especially during a post-tennis match press conference. Such information can be slowly uncovered about a player through other means. But at the end of the day, the reporters were from The Sun/ the dailymail/ gossip new channels so it's expected that they'll pry about such information from her. 🤷🏻♀️

Andreescu, both parents Romanian, born in Canada, grew up and learned tennis in Romania. Plays for Canada.
Anyway, she's more British than Kunta (moved there at 14, from Australia, Hungarian parents). Raducanu moved at 2.
Amazing potential, talented, likable, marketable, she has everything to be the next big star. However we seen it before how the British press and fans over hype players like Robson and Watson which no doubt gave them to much pressure.
Can she build on this? We know in the next 2 years.
