      She is not probably not good enough. After Wimbledon her career may be over. she is 18 and did not make it to top 300 so far.. that is not star potential

      @@derbenutzer4648 This is her second tournament, so not being in the top 300 doesn't mean anything. She is young, has a lot to learn, and a lot more to prove. However don't dismiss her potential after making the 4th round of a slam, at her second tournament, while beaten players in straight sets.

    What a credit to her parents - they must be so proud of her. I think she's right that staying at school and having friends outside tennis has kept her grounded.
    Who was the man who asked her about Coco Gauff? Not the best use of a question I'd have thought.

    I first became aware of Emma last year at the Battle of the Brits where she was beating players hundreds of places higher in the rankings. But more than that, it was her sheer enthusiasm that struck me. I am delighted she is doing so well--long may it continue.

      Gauff hasn’t lost a set and has consistently been in the second week of slams. But Swaitek has been insane. She’s been dismantling her opponents.

    This is the reason I think, dont quit school and become a pro at such a young age. She is so well rounded and full of wisdom at a young age, furthermore being a native English speaking person, being asked questions in English as well is different if English is not your first language. But, only time will tell, would she be a Barty or Osaka in 3 years time when dealing with the press. Only hoping for the best for her future....

    The media needs to stop asking younger players irrelevant questions; like her parents’ name and what industry they’re in! She’s at the press conference to talk about her match!

      To me those questions aren't irrelevant. As fans we want to get to know these players, how they got into tennis, where and how they grew up and how that affected their careers. Of course without going into really private stuff.

Such information can be slowly uncovered about a player through other means. But at the end of the day, the reporters were from The Sun/ the dailymail/ gossip new channels so it's expected that they'll pry about such information from her. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Amazing potential, talented, likable, marketable, she has everything to be the next big star. However we seen it before how the British press and fans over hype players like Robson and Watson which no doubt gave them to much pressure.
    Can she build on this? We know in the next 2 years.

      They put her on last so they could get the best viewing figures. That’s all the organisers care about. Let her wait for hours and deal with that situation. Sink or swim. No surprise the other player dropped out for the sake of her mental health.
