    I enjoy your videos. It looks exciting and fun. However, a park ranger said that an unfortunate down-side to allowing bait fishing on Cap San Blas is that it contributes to sharks adapting their patrolling patterns. So, sharks are more common around Cape San Blas compared to several years ago. It is posing an increasing safety hazard for beach waders, paddle boarders and kayakers. Still looks like fun and I'll keep watching.

      Marine biologists would argue that point with the park ranger. That is a ridiculous and completely non science based opinion. I urge you to do some research on your own that is based on scientically researched shark behavior. There has never been a correlation made between shark behavior and land based bait fisherman.

    I thought I've seen all your vids but missed this one. I've seen it now. I'm skipping my vacation to the Gulf this year because of stupid Covid.

    What test line were you using? And how far out were you dropping this bait?

    Did it swallow the hook? Or why did you cut the line? Isn’t there a tool for removing hooks?

    • @TheLawlessTide
      @TheLawlessTide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hook was swallowed, if we tried to remove it it probably would have died. The hook will rust away very fast in the salt water.

    That was cool! Kinda made me want to fish for the big fella’s. lol.
    I’ve only ever fished for blue gill, crappie, sun grannys, bass and trout when I was younger. I don’t think I could reel something like a tiger shark in by myself. Even if I could, I’d never try it because if it required me to get as deep into the water as this guy did, I’m out. That was a nice release though.

      The Lawless Tide sure thing! Also, do you live in Destin Florida? Because a lot of your videos are from there. I go quite often and know the area as well as someone who would live there. I also do a lot of beach fishing there. I’m looking for some more spots to go fishing there, maybe near the bay. But thank you anyway!

      We are down there a lot and move there permanently in a little under 2 years. Can’t wait!

      The Lawless Tide ill be moving there too! But it will be in about 3-4 years.. but I know the place better than I know the town I’m in now! 😂 but I will definitely contact you on Facebook and see what’s going on. And PS: I watch your videos everyday, I was subscribed on my other TH-cam account though. So when I switched to this one I subscribed.

      blue fish or really anything we can get our hands on

    • @TheLawlessTide

      If you are fishing the surf you can cast out some pompano rigs with fish bites. And cast spoons and jigs, the tsunami glass minnow works great for all the fish in the surf.

    Is it legal to use redfish as bait?

    • @TheLawlessTide
      @TheLawlessTide  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whole condition and legal slot size.

    When we first started coming there in the 80’s the fishing was incredible. Now you have to run the damn bait out a mile and then you’re lucky to pull in a channel cat. Whole area is overfished.

    • @TheLawlessTide
      @TheLawlessTide  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is just one factor of many ruining the ocean.

      @@TheLawlessTideOh I agree, definitely a multi-factor issue.

    • @TheLawlessTide

    • @TheLawlessTide
      @TheLawlessTide  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was a ray he dropped on the other side of the sand bar.

    Why do you let sharks go? So they can kill or harm some little children or an adult?

    • @TheLawlessTide
      @TheLawlessTide  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its a felony to harvest a protected species. You are more likely to get struck by lightning than attacked by a shark.
