Can the gtx 960 fit or the ADM R7 370???
for the gpu upgrade the best you can have in a 1u low profile form factor is a quadro A2000... but one better priced option is the rx 6400. perfect match for older-gen cpus.
Forgot to mention: the A2000 requires a custom heat sink solution to fit in 1u.

@@Leos74 I've had issues trying to get an RX6400 to work in this system. I get output thru the card without drivers installed but then once AMD drivers installed the resolution is locked down to 640x480 for some reason. Even reverted to older drivers to see if it'd work....very frustrating!
@@feniX0nE27 interesting issue. haven't had experience with this particular system, so can't think of a reason why this could happen.
@@feniX0nE27 did you solve the issue with the rx 6400 or its not working? Unfortunately, its the only card that makes sense. Otherwise can just go for a iGPU like Iris XE or AMD 680m.

You can, there is an m.2 2230 on the motherboard. You could stick to the hp support page but there were only 2 available at the time they were new so I’d say anything would work fine if the drivers work.

you could just buy a bigger case and get a bigger motherboard
Could you in theory remove the power supply from the case, and have it (power supply) connected to the motherboard and components from outside the case, allowing for more room inside of the case for a 1050?
In theory, perhaps. But the idea with this pc is that you have a very compact machine, so making it bigger.. get a bigger one from the start.
Also thermals not gonna love you.

As for CPUs I could recommend official HP support page for this machine, the top notch one which is 100% compatible is i7-7700 (4 cores/ 8 threads, 3.6 GHz base clock speed). But it’s $100+ which is a bit expensive for this PC
so as far as the graphics card....: just pop it in and done? no other upgrades needed , like power supply?

You can buy another as long as it’s the exact same. It doesn’t always need to be the exact same but sometimes if it’s not, one of them won’t work.

can we cut the end of pciex x4 so dualslot gpu is possible? Some optiplexes are with precut x4 slot and support 1650 low profile in x4 with some small performance impact 5%.
Hi you could try and that could damage the motherboard and do so at your own risk, that PC only have 180watt power supply not enough power for gtx 1650.. and you can use gt 1030 in that PC..
@@mxkdt the whole system is only consuming about 70-80 watts and the 1650 is about 75w. The psu which comes with the PC is 80plus Gold, so its fine

Right now the 2.5" ssd is already connected to the board, you just change the drive itself and use the old cables… If you decide to get a pci-e card for m.2 drives you wouldn’t need any cables at all. So 100% no, you will not

@@douglaszea7460 le puse una ZOTAC GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 Y la verdad si que se nota el cambio, ademas se complementa con la grafica integrada de intel, juegos como genshin impact o valheim, los tira en graficos maximos sin problema, igual te recomiendo aumentar la ram a 16gb, si quieres saber algo mas pasate por mi canal y mandame mensaje por ahi. saludos.

@@mxkdt Sale prácticamente mejor si se quiere iniciar en el gaming con un Ryzen 5 5600g que los componentes no son relativamente caros y se gasta casi lo mismo, la única diferencia es que en esto todo saldría nuevo, pero lo de las gráficas low profile es de locos, son muy caras, a parte de que muchos no saben pero generan muchos cuello de botella con los equipos de oficina, en especial si se habla de una gtx 1650

Hi, no because power supply is only 180W i recommend at least 240W and you can use GT 1030 with 180W power supply instead.
