The Steam Machine is designed to get people who prefer controllers and TV's over mouse and screen.
I'm a PC gamer, so I see no use to it, but my brother is a console gamer who sees it as a way to get into games that aren't available on certain consoles and, hopefully, be able to play with me.
i completely agree with you but as far as my experience goes a lot of people use Skype to talk to each other when they play games, and since there is Skype on Xbox One it seems a bit irrelevant, also if your gonna go to the expense to buy a pre-made gaming PC why not do the research and buy your own hardware

And what if people don't have to go through he trouble of researching the proper parts, how to assemble a tower, etc. My brother went through it. After a month of research, he just decided to go to Fry's and by a nice PC.
The problem is that TV and controller are perfectly possible with just about any PC.

This is why Ubisoft is my favourite game company. They may not be the best at everything and some people don't like them for that, but they wholeheartedly try to build games in the name of the audience as an art form, and don't stop until they think the piece being worked on is done.

I did that with fallout 3. Still have yet to finish it, but i dont own anchorage, and i havent felt like playing it.
With the release of the new consoles, ive just started going back and finally finishing them.
God, I was watching my Girly play FFX and I didn't want that game to finish because I was so deep into that game. I feel like I'm having with drawls now since she finishes everything so damn fast.
As much as I like Burnie, this is probably the Patch dreamteam for me. Glad to see Gus back

I wonder how many people decided to buy the PS4 not because they thought it had better games but simply because of the issue the Xbox One had during its announcement.
My friend bought a PS4 and when I ask him how good the exclusives were he just said "I don't like any of them so I didn't but them" which just seemed so weird to me. A few other people who bought the console said something similar and some even said they prefer the exclusives on the Xbox...
Personally I have nothing against the Playstation but I have no interest in the exclusives so I bought an Xbox One and i'm really enjoying it.
You should buy a console for it's quality not it's exclusives...

I don't care about the trivial hardware differences or the other consoles theoretical ability to play the game slightly better even though it will never be on said console.
What's the point of buying the xbox for it's one or two better exclusives? After that what's better about it?
Euan Ingram There are 4 exclusive games I am intending to get or already have and thats just the ones at launch. The Titanfall which makes it five and then theres Halo when it comes out. Thats six exclusive games that I want to play which I can only get on the Xbox and those are just the ones that are announced. The only game I wanted to play on the PS4 was Kingdom Hearts 3 but thats now multiplatform so I can run that on my Xbox.
Are you saying I should ignore these games and get a console which is pretty much exactly the same but does not have the games I want to play?

The quality between Xbone and ps4 is so similar, exclusives are almost the only thing that sets them apart
Sweet rolls are also mentioned in fallout 3, when you are a kid and it's your birthday, you are given a sweet roll and the bully butch tried to take it from you
I work at the busiest Toys R Us in Orlando FL, specifically in the Electronics department. We have about 30 Xbox Ones, and haven't had a good supply of PS4 since November. Got 6 yesterday, and sold out within hours. Crazy stuff.

Don't argue about likes or dislikes it's trivial... at the end of the day they still have their fan base and they're having a good time doing what they love and I'm having a good time watching them.
I think the Alien game is going to play more like Slenderman. No weapons or skills, just survival horror. You'll probably walk around the ship, trying to figure out what happened and how to escape.
Off of Gus's story of playing Papers please I decided to finally play it. It is actually pretty fun and I am awful at the game starting out. Accidentally let a suicide bomber through. Rough Times.

I have to say as a console gamer that knows little to nothing about computers (and whenever they talk computers it goes right over my head) steam machines are actually enticing. Especially Razers design because its just a bunch of boxes you plug in, so I dont have to learn how to build a PC or bother with paying someone to do it. Also if I needed to upgrade i just buy some new box things they have and plug them in. Seriously sounds good to me, less hassle.
I would never say I would find myself in such a position - whether to first watch The Patch from RoosterTeeth or Cooptional Podcast from Polaris.Well, The Patch it is.

On Alien:Isolation, the narrative is that you are Ripley's daughter, searching for her mother (in the space capsule from the end of the movie) and somehow you get stuck in this ship etc etc etc and if you want more on it go watch the demo on IGN's channel

I find it funny that I was literally playing WoW while watching this, and I can tell you that you definitely have a normal speed and can switch to a slower walking speed... and all the damn NPC's walk between the two.

The only reason I can think of for people to purchase a separate audio card is if you are doing music production or using the pc for a live audio set up of some variety that requires many sets of outputs.
They need a Patch where the Lads or the Gents take over!!!
Not having bought any of the next gen consoles, still having my 360, I was really interested in the steam machines. Now I don't see the point anymore. I already found the price of the One stupid, you can already plug your controller to your pc, you have hdmi ports to plug into your tv, and most games are developped for pc too. There's even mods !

I was a heavily focused PC gamer since playing around on my family's 286. Was also playing the family Atari 2600 and I bought the SNES back in the day. Throughout the years I've just found it more convenient to play on a console. I still game on my laptop but my main "rig" is my 360. Hardware compatibility and requirements, software updates (which we have on consoles now too but I'm talking about video/sound/network drivers, etc), juggling memory use with your OS and games run, anti-virus/malware prevention, disc space (now having to deal with this with consoles again), and games that use a controller anyways, I just prefer to play on consoles now. Just my opinion. *didn't think I had to say that last part but this is TH-cam.

But Ryan, Game informer magazine comes in digital form where you can touch articles and watch videos on the spot, as well as art galleries. Its a pretty nice experience.

This whole thing with the alien game reminds me a lot of Amnesia, where you can't fight, can only run from the monsters about, and have to solve puzzles and find out where you are and who you were. Amazingly scary.

In DayZ I had a lot of time put into one guy and had some good gear and a truck, then I guess when I was afk I was kidnapped in a way, I was in a building with my car outside and had to pee so I just hid in a corner, when I got back I had 4 other guys with a decent amount of gear demanding I do stuff for them and give them things otherwise they would kill me, well I opened fire and said fuck it. haven't played since lol....
That alien game kinda sounds like RE:3 Nemesis. The whole aspect of Nemesis coming for you, and him randomly appearing kinda sounds like that, but in RE there were more enemies than just nemesis.
Bought a sound card for the Dobly Digital Live output to use with my speakers/headphones via optical.
I'm glad the division isn't really started yet. Just means the end product will be better (hopefully).
28:37 Gus thinks theres only one movement speed. Not only is there a running speed, you can also press the "/" button on the num pad and walk. You can also mount up, and run on the ground, or fly in the air after an NPC so....
DAyZ is not in a hurry because he is making tons of money so why would he rush to have a release when he can keep milking the money, #THISISTHEINDUSTRYNOW

I know this is old but that alien game concept has been worked on by a group in the horror genre called Damned that has been on steam for a while. Also the Morrowind mod sounds amazing. I love the game, it has downsides to it but it's amazing. I hope that mod follows through.
