I’m 66 and still date. At this age I only do breakfast or lunch dates. Do not carry your purse inside only keys and card or cash enough to cover your meal. No evening dates. Listen more than talk. I ask God to reveal everything I need to know about them. Enjoy your date and don’t take it as a permanent relationship. You are just gathering info.

21 yrs ago I decided to embrace celibacy. Still going strong at 72 yrs young, I’ve developed a genuine appreciation & respect for my peace, my joy & my space. These are my blessings. You won’t believe this, but when I was 35 and a new mother of twins, and I would go to the YMCA to the mommy and me class, and I met some older ladies in the locker rooms, and they would always say to me “Are you married honey?” Because at that time, I was happily married, and I thought my husband of seven years was also happily married. I mean we had already had our home and our mortgage, we both worked, and had our careers, we had money saved in the bank, because we had been saving and continued to save money until we had a very nice cushion before I even got pregnant. And I went back to work after my maternity leave, so money was never the issue.
They said to me, Yeah, we’re old we could never find somebody at our age, all the men out there are either bums and have no money, and they want you to support them, or they do have their own money, but they want you to be their FREE NURSE. They are either a “nurser”or or a “Purser”. Then they would tell me they would rather be alone than have to take care of somebody for the rest of their lives, cook, clean, and not get any affection from them because they’re not looking for affection. They’re looking for a nurse. I remember telling myself well I don’t have to worry about that. I am happily married, but you never know what G-d has planned for you. I have been divorced for over 25 years, and have yet to find a man who will be a provider and a protector for those of us, who have some sort of standards, and know that certain things are dealbreaker‘s, we will be single, but we will be happily single, we will take care of ourselves and our health so that we can live to enjoy everything we have worked for without a man, whining, complaining, and wanting you to do everything for them. If they want a nurse they need to go PAY for one, or have one of their family members take care of them, or go to the veterans administration or whatever people do. Do not give away your precious time it’s yours to enjoy, no one needs the companionship of a man if it costs so much in time, energy and happiness. Don’t ever settle, even if you go to your grave single. There is nothing wrong with being single again, it sure is a lot better than constantly being disappointed with men. I am not a critical judge mental person. I believe in live and let live, but we all have some barriers we will not cross and from my viewpoint if a man has been just a terrible husband to a previous wife, he will do the same thing for you. It takes a miracle of G-d for men to change. Never bet on something that you may lose on. my sister-in-law just got remarried. They have a chance of success. His wife passed away a year and a half ago, but they had no children. My sister-in-law has two grown children, who actually are on their own.
And they are actually cut from the same cloth, went to the same high school, have many mutual friends in common, and have both lead very stable lives. So they will make it. And they are very lucky to have found each other. It’s different when you’re in their 60s, be careful out there.

Relationships take energy and work at any age. It's really okay to be alone and happy.

Facts! I have friends who are nurses. She say these old BM goats are so "fresh", and full of stds in the nursing homes coming on to her and the young CNAs. Knowing damn well they only shooting "hot water", and can't do nothing! NOBODY comes to visit them. Did the wife & children wrong all their lives. Doctors & nurses are their only visitors.

I'm 51 next month but I look 38. No kids and never been married. Only had 1 serious relationship which lasted a few years. I've since had a couple of fleeting romances and one online situationship which lasted 2 years. I've totally given up on men. I work out at the gym 3 times a week. I'm established and comfortable. If a man asked me to split the bill on a date, it would totally kill it for me.

Yeah, I would tell them, I can’t date you you are too expensive for me. Or when they get so drunk that they had to be carried out to their cars, by the waiter and two bus boys heck that’s why I always bring my my own 🚘 car! I don’t get in a car with somebody I don’t know that well, and they all drink, one drink is OK, but they drink until they are in a stupor, that’s when I go to the bathroom and never come back! One time the bartender chased me down in the parking lot & told me “Hey, your friend can’t walk”.
I told her that’s not my friend, that was a business client. He’s on his own, I put my key in the ignition and drove off. I don’t even know how he made it home, probably called his wife to pick him up, pretty much they are all married, but usually you don’t find out that quick. Run their car registration, half the time it comes up with both their names on it, 😂. They think we are stupid and lonely. Nothing could be further from the truth. I don’t know how many times after I’ve eaten my dinner, “excuse me for a minute I’m going to the restroom” and then just keep on walking. Once the parking lot was on the side where the entrance was, and the guy saw me driving off! I just had to wave as I was driving by🤣💸! I never order cocktails because I don’t drink, so I didn’t stick him with like $100 check or anything. That was over 20 years ago and I still laugh when I think about it.
I'm 67, never been married, no children, I look 50. Some wise women in my early years like Miss Faye told me to never give up on looking like a present. Over time, I've been in several relationships that lasted 3-5 years, no less than 1yr. Also, my standard is I don't put out on the first date, the man had to wait months to a year of consistent favorable behavior before consideration. If a man doesn't know how to hunt, he has no luck with me. I am a gazelle and if the man is too lazy to do right by me, I don't stop to graze. I have not given up on men, I'm alright with who I am, and the right man will step to me. In the meantime, I'm not depressed, or sad. I just keep looking like a present.

Get with a woman's group and share hobbies, sewing club, dinner dates, volunteer at daycare, food drives, etc. NEVER go on line. Stay away from any young man wanting to "date or marry" you. They are looking to use you for money, new car, etc.
They can take half your home if theyre with you for two years.
Whatever you do, please don't move some smooth talker into your home.

I'm 60 and I've been single since 2007. I was celibate for 11 consecutive years after that relationship ended. Actually, I've been celibate for most of my adult life.
I have seen beautiful relationships at all ages. BUT, just please be careful and see the evidence of who the men say they are before you fall in love with who you think he is or who you want him to be. This video is so true. I am in my mid-fifties and I am ready to date after raising my daughter. I was very shocked to see how dating is for women in my age group. The only men who approach me have financial problems. The young men who approach me have financial problems. It seems like the successful men don't look my way at all. So, I am at the part in my life where i am ready to let go of that dream and focus on me. I will leave the door open just in case I meet a nice man. But, the reality is that it is no point in me in living a miserable life just because I don't have a husband. I am blessed in so many other ways and I can take care of myself. I have a home and a stable job. I have food. I have a social life. I am not allowing a man to move in my house, drive my car or spend my money. I am nobody's nurse and purse. It is sad but true.

That's how my dear grandmother was. They were married for 30 something years. She tried dating about 20 years after my grandfather's death, but she just wasn't really feeling it. Got with a guy that just wasn't right for her, so that was short lived. She just missed her soulmate her husband too much. I hope they are reunited up above. 🌹

I'm 60 and I look 60. I don't delude myself (like a lot of people) by claiming I look younger, lol! What's wrong with looking your age? Most people who say they look younger than their age don't. It's hilarious. But, I'm done. Too old. Realistically, it's a long shot at this age. My last gasps on the dating sites were sad and humiliating. I'm not a bad looking older woman and I was young and very cute once, so I had a good time, plenty of pursuers, engaged, made the boys cry. So I can be done now. I pulled up to a music festival and as I was getting out of my car with my things, a man approached me. “Can I help you carry your things?”. he said. No thank you, I said. He proceeded to ask me what kind of music festival it was and how he just moved here and happened to stumble upon it. 🙄Yeah right. Something about his eyes and tone I didn’t trust. Good advice! I'm 63 years young, getting married on August 5th to my partner who is 7 years younger than me and taking care of me. No sex for two years. Hi Ms. Faye, I got away from my husband for over 47 years and after I traveled to different states and stopped here in Rocky Mount NC. I found out though the state he had died 2006. That what I was told but I don't believe it. I wish I could find a real good Saved man for a companion. But I don't want a rocking chair, someone that at his age is still in good health. I do everything for myself. Wash my car, keep it clean, keep it gased up. Cut my own grass, still paint. And car was paid off when I got my house. But I am a no nonsense woman. My story is deep and I live a life I pray is pleasing to the Lord. I value my body, and the values I grew up with. Oh, did I make some bad decisions! Yess, But when I surrender my life to God, I had to give my life up. Agape, love you sister.

I never did trust that online dating stuff. A coworker of mine traveled all the way to Florida I think to meet up with some dude she had only been talking and typing to for a couple of months. And that no good ----- stood her up at the airport! We all told her that she shouldn't go, but she didn't listen to us. And she didn't know anyone else there SMH. She was too desperate, and you can't be like that.

I speak with lots of older men at work who are financially stable. Because my mom and her sisters always talked like this about dating men their ages. So I consciously ask these men questions about dating women their age. They often give me a funny look as if I’m asking them a ridiculous question. They are ALWAYS up for it. So…just date men who are somewhat healthy and financially secure and they won’t need anything from you….But you.

So, my uncle's wife died in 2009 and he never got over it. Eventually he tried dating but I recently was told by my mom that he regrets not marrying some lady. So I asked what was his reasoning for regretting it, as that is where the wisdom is. She said that my uncle told her he regrets not marrying that lady because here hee is now, taking care of my elderly grandmother when, if he would have married the lady, he would have had her take care of grandma instead. Needless to say, he's trying to get my mom to move back to the area. So, my uncle has turned out to be a user of women after all. What a shame, but I'm happy that the woman never married him, she doesn't know that she dodged a bullet

A lot of men over the age of 60, and especially age 65, have serious health issues like diabetes and heart conditions which may not be visible to you at first. (Men tend to think they are healthier than they are sometimes.). They are often looking for a nursemaid, and even the healthy men want you to cook for them, clean their houses, and wash their clothes. You may end up neglecting your own house, health, and needs for them without getting much in return. Also, these men have daughters and daughter-in-law, sometimes older grandchildren and sons….all of whom want to know what your business is with their dad or granddad. It makes things complicated. If you have a little money, that’s about all you’ll have in retirement, and we are all too old to go back to work full time to make up for the loss of money we spent on some man. Best to just be casual friends. And even better, avoid all men and just get a dog…they are loyal, fun and loving…often better companions than an old man.

I agree with you. These men are looking for a woman who will take care of him. Not that I blame him. We all need someone who will love us and take care of us. Men are used to being taken care of by women. Their mother's took care of him when he was a child. His wife took care of him when he was married. Now he is single for what ever reason and he still wants to be taken care of by some loving, nurturing lady. That is what these older men want. Younger men are looking for money and if you show these guys that you are lonely and you have money look out. They will take advantage of you if you let them. My mother explained that to me, she said whenever she was out with her friends all these younger men would approach them. I didn’t believe her, but now I believe it because it does happen, and you know what I do. I pull out my drivers license and tell them hey I’m old enough to be your mother and when they say no you’re not I go look at my drivers license, I know it’s dark in here but still that does the trick. Of course cover up the address and everything so only you were age shows and that’s only in case they don’t stop bugging you most of the time you just tell them to get lost in a nice way.
