If they fix the stutter a little bit more ill be happy, it's such a nice upgrade Although I wish they would let us tweak settings since I don't care about a lot of feature like water graphics and shadows etc to get a little bit more fps

Been a fan for years and I’ve been playing for hours ever since it came out on console. the biggest hurdle I’ve been running into is the constant infections😂
Yup thats normal.... I know it sounds stupid, but try to avoid being hit, especially by birds, dogs, and those zeds in hazmat suits, they have the greatest chance of infection. Oh and cop spit of course :) That stuffs nasty. :P
I played day one on the old console version and day one on this one too and I love it. It's so different in the best way. I was fixing up an old house and starving but didn't have a lot of wildlife around me or houses to scavenge so I wandered a bit and found a military base just before being starved and I had to go in and risk the chances. Snuck in killing zombies, got creative to deal with 3 zombie dogs by using a wood spike trap and a doorway to weaken them, and took out a few soldiers and the such with arrows. Then I climbed the main tower but got chased by a hoard of heavies at the top so I backtracked to a part of the walkway that was missing so they fell down below, and I went to the top but it was so late I had nowhere to go and the hoard was still below so I saved the gun I just found in the tower till morning so I could shoot them all from above before leaving for home. It's amazing. I love the new jump scares us console players aren't used to and the feeling of quick reactions and problem solving. Zombies fall from the ceiling and there's too many? Back up and lure them one at a time through a metal door so you can separate them and kill them one at a time before reopening the door. Door is locked and all you have are starting mining tools and stats that would take forever to get through the steel door? Go through the wall instead. I love it so much I can't express it enough. If this game had a triple-A opportunity it would do so well.
Im very much so enjoying the game Glock its my absolute favorite! I play on Xbox and had to get used to some control differences from the old version. Cant believe how smooth the game feels now, and I've made it through my first horde night no problem! Was a little worried but didn't take the high ground and did a hatch blocking the front door and an escape route! Thanks for being awesome bro and thanks for the tips and great content!

I bought this first day and haven't stopped playing it yet. It's amazing. I played on PC for a couple years and loved it but I am a console player at heart so this is the best.

I actually got two of my friends into the game and both have been having a blast as well as convincing them to find this channel and use the entertainment provided in every video. Congrats to TFP for finally getting the console version out again after Telltale ruined it for everyone. And congrats on getting out of Early Access. I've put 1000's of hours into this game, and still enjoy playing.

They sued to get the rights back for console, and then they developed the game for next-gen since it wasn't going to run on old gen consoles. What part of that process confuses you? TFP did everything they needed to do. And they did it correctly. There is no blame when Tellltale intentionally released the title to try and keep for going Chapter 11. Which was never going to save them from going under.
The previous console version was basically unplayable. this was a major upgrade! i play primarily on PC, but have friends that only play console. This will be fun now!
Funny thing about cornmeal. I always throw it on the floor. However coming to console I started playing with my buddies and one of them loves farming and cooking which means I have to pick up cornmeal or I get beat with a belt. Moving on, we had 2 stacks worth before we were even able to start regularly making food with it 😂
Can you change the resolution? To 1080P? Either in game or via Ps5 settings? That might give it a FPS increase. I run a 2080Ti Pc and changed to 1080P to get a stable 100-120 FPS
Future series idea, you've mentioned that your son plays, when cross play is added, duo a father/son series, maybe only melee/throwables/primitive bow for you and strictly guns and a bone knife for him forcing communication/planning every step of the way.
We may not keep our jars anymore, making finding water annoying. However, you have dew collectors you can craft. Also, there are water purifier mods allowing you to drink from wherever freely.
I love you Glock. I’ve waited years for this. Used to play this with my little sister for hours and hours on console, even with the terrible glitches and crashes. So much nostalgia here.
I finally can play the new version and my 1st time ever playing I had to get used to the controls. I didn't even use power attacks at 1st, I got a bad infection and couldn't harvest any honey anywhere and then trying to reach some loot I broke a leg and it was like 6pm and I had to return to the trader to turn in a job. It was brutal so I just reset lol didn't make much progress anyway. The next game I started has gone really well so far. I originally wanted lots of intelligence for daring adventurer to be maxed but I didn't realize how much of an investment that was so I put a lot more into my strength so far for sledgehammers and possibly shotguns and of course miner 69er and motherlode. I was recently able to make a forge and workbench after getting a wrench really early on as well as a couple of dew collectors. I was really struggling with food and water so the vitamins I found I try and save for desperate times. I was eating rotten sandwiches, charred meat, and baked potatoes and drinking from a nearby lake. The food evened out the hp loss a bit but I wasn't finding many animals to hunt so I was super close to putting a point into the hunter skill tree but I was able to find enough food mags for bacon and eggs which has really helped. My base setup is a little questionable 😅 it's maybe a bit too close to the trader, so picking up my workstations might be a challenge and early on I kinda underestimated the strength zombies have against wood and started picking fights in the middle of the night for exp. They tore up my base a good bit but I lived and since then I upgraded to stone 2 blocks thick and have a 3 hatch opening with 3 more as back up. Very tight living so far but I have everything I need for the most part. Started a mine nearby and made a small base around it out of wood. Got lucky and hit a few ores early which was both good and bad because I really needed the stone for cobble. I put up a few torches and had a run in with a screamer at night. Killed it and a few zombies that spawned in and when it was over I was determined to remove the torches asap, but as I was running to my nearby mine I was ambushed by a wandering horde or possibly another wave of spawned zombies from the screamer and had to hold the mine down. I had a door and hatch for defense but the structure is wood and they weren't all coming to the door so I got on top and started shooting down at them through the bars lining the top and it was slow but I managed to thin their numbers enough. A feral did break in and reach my ladder, took damage but finished him quickly after. After that some crawler clean up and I was good. So far I have daring adventurer 2 and got jen unlocked, tier 2 quests did my 1st infected job that went extremely well since I made and used some hatches. Just still preparing for horde night, I actually have some decent supplies ammo wise but no decent guns besides a level 1 pistol. Crafted a level 1 iron sledgehammer and a level 2 pickaxe and shovel, bought some pipe bombs and putting some finishing touches on the base. Good luck to you all. Oh and got my level 2 nerdy armor haha I'm a sucker for magazines.
They nailed the controller settings in the pre 1.0 build and took a massive step back in terms of accessibility, it was perfect as it was, now theyve stripped a lot of the QoL from the controller, hopefully they improve it.
It's just the beginning of the game that's way, first week is a struggle, after that you'll be fine. Once you have some dew collectors, and can make bacon and eggs your good.
Yup. That how it went the first few days (in game) for me. But after I found some of those cooking mags and unlocked a few recipes and put a couple skill point here and there it’s gotten better. Just make sure you don’t drink the water alone. Make the red tea. That stuff is great. Helps with lowering the hunger and thirst degradation. I’d suggest putting a point into iron gut and master chef.

Will there be a physical release version of this game on PS5? All I see is a game called 7 Days to Die on PS4 which I’ve always wanted to try but haven’t heard the best feedback about. Is this that same game or a sequel?
I believe you can use hardware add-ons to the PS5 that will allow you to use a keyboard and mouse on games that dont support it natively. TFP never answered if they were going to add KB/mouse support to the new version of the game to my knowledge but I dont believe it does currently.
Loving the game so far, my only problem is aiming with the bow. I'm so used to having to use the bottom left corner of the sight to score headshots that I'm constantly missing. Hard habit to break. Curse funpimps for fixing the aiming, lol.
Ive been playing 7dtd on ps4 since a few months after it released. Waited years and years for it to get updated. Kept coming back to it and start a new playthrough and got better at it every time because of your videos Glock. When I heard you saying the full version of 7dtd would finally be released I got extremely exited for a few seconds untill you said its only going to be for next gen consoles.. Financially I still havent been able to get a ps5 since release. So I can only hope to able to affort it soon so I can finally play it after all these years. Don't just get a ps5 only for this game(not saying it ain't good) ps5 is a great machine probally the best console I ever owned. 7d2d I wish we had a free upgrade as the ps4 version was let's just say lacking tons of content and bugged. If I'm honest pc was always the way for this game. Hope you get one soon though I understand financial its expensive but you won't regret it, Took me a few years to get one but tons of fun and graphics are great.

You did answer an issue I have , played 7D on pc via a steam link so play on living room TV, in new V1 the menus were different and had an awful time. I thought it was controllers in V1 Were messed up,now I know it's not. All I have to do now is fix my steam link controller setup as I messed that up, good job Glock ! You the best. I will buy the PS5 version to support the devs😊

I had the PS4 version of this game and enjoyed it but due to how old my PS4 is I couldn’t stream it, the console would crash lol. I turned up the sensitivity a bunch on the cursor on controller and it felt much better than the default settings.
I turned mine way down lol. Also widened the FOV made a big difference.

Harvest tree stumps. It will sometimes drop honey and honey will cure infections.

I had a door and hatch for defense but the structure is wood and they weren't all coming to the door so I got on top and started shooting down at them through the bars lining the top and it was slow but I managed to thin their numbers enough. A feral did break in and reach my ladder, took damage but finished him quickly after. After that some crawler clean up and I was good.
So far I have daring adventurer 2 and got jen unlocked, tier 2 quests did my 1st infected job that went extremely well since I made and used some hatches. Just still preparing for horde night, I actually have some decent supplies ammo wise but no decent guns besides a level 1 pistol. Crafted a level 1 iron sledgehammer and a level 2 pickaxe and shovel, bought some pipe bombs and putting some finishing touches on the base.

They nailed the controller settings in the pre 1.0 build and took a massive step back in terms of accessibility, it was perfect as it was, now theyve stripped a lot of the QoL from the controller, hopefully they improve it.

Yes! That's why I ate the cornmeal! Don't hate me for it! Once I figure out how to cook my raw meat it will be going on the floor where it belongs 😂
It's just the beginning of the game that's way, first week is a struggle, after that you'll be fine. Once you have some dew collectors, and can make bacon and eggs your good.
Yup. That how it went the first few days (in game) for me. But after I found some of those cooking mags and unlocked a few recipes and put a couple skill point here and there it’s gotten better. Just make sure you don’t drink the water alone. Make the red tea. That stuff is great. Helps with lowering the hunger and thirst degradation. I’d suggest putting a point into iron gut and master chef.

I believe you can use hardware add-ons to the PS5 that will allow you to use a keyboard and mouse on games that dont support it natively. TFP never answered if they were going to add KB/mouse support to the new version of the game to my knowledge but I dont believe it does currently.
I believe on ps5 and xbox you can use mouse and keyboard. Was watching spartan play on xbox cause he wasn't used to Controller. 👍🏻

Loving the game so far, my only problem is aiming with the bow. I'm so used to having to use the bottom left corner of the sight to score headshots that I'm constantly missing. Hard habit to break. Curse funpimps for fixing the aiming, lol.
Ive been playing 7dtd on ps4 since a few months after it released. Waited years and years for it to get updated. Kept coming back to it and start a new playthrough and got better at it every time because of your videos Glock. When I heard you saying the full version of 7dtd would finally be released I got extremely exited for a few seconds untill you said its only going to be for next gen consoles.. Financially I still havent been able to get a ps5 since release. So I can only hope to able to affort it soon so I can finally play it after all these years. You are still my favorite youtuber and I always make time to watch your videos! I learned a whole bunch from watching them I will for sure use your tactics when I playing it myself! Don't just get a ps5 only for this game(not saying it ain't good) ps5 is a great machine probally the best console I ever owned. 7d2d I wish we had a free upgrade as the ps4 version was let's just say lacking tons of content and bugged. If I'm honest pc was always the way for this game. Hope you get one soon though I understand financial its expensive but you won't regret it, Took me a few years to get one but tons of fun and graphics are great.

You did answer an issue I have , played 7D on pc via a steam link so play on living room TV, in new V1 the menus were different and had an awful time. I thought it was controllers in V1 Were messed up,now I know it's not. All I have to do now is fix my steam link controller setup as I messed that up, good job Glock ! You the best. I will buy the PS5 version to support the devs😊

Another tip for new players: Power attacks pause stamina regeneration for a second, so spamming it will leave you out of stamina really quickly

Great advice. Played it on A15 on my PS4. Lol I put it up to Nomad and hated everything for a while while I got used to how to play again.
I think the new console version has mouse and keyboard support so there's no problem doing a series on console
I’ve recently upgraded to a PS5 and 7 Days to Die is one of them games I’m going to stream on Twitch. I had the PS4 version of this game and enjoyed it but due to how old my PS4 is I couldn’t stream it, the console would crash lol. So yea I’ll pick this game up again, just got to wait till next payday to spend £33 for it unless it goes on offer.
