    This is great! Had this idea the other day but not sure how it worked, glad I found this.

    Those are reversed wheels so whats normally the out side bead is now inside. Its what normally is the out side bead that always fall off so you put the locking ring on the wrong side of the wheel

      Looks like its on the outside to me

      @HT_FAB but you have reversed wheels so you should have put the locking ring on the inside. Look at the valley, how its so much closer to the inside bead. Thats where the tire is going to come off.

      TH-cam won't let me put a link in my reply apparently... I had to look up what a reverse mount wheel was to fully understand this reply, once you see a front vs rear mount wheel, the comment makes sense. I would have made the same mistake myself, thanks a ton, I now know to select a proper wheel before welding a kit on like this, if I want the lock to go outboard.

    Did you start with a 10” wide rim? How much did it add to how wide your rim is? Was told about 1.5”?

    • @ht_fab3525
      @ht_fab3525  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t remember exactly the width of my wheels but it definitely didn’t add 1.5”. was worth the investment IMO

    How long were your bolts? I got 1.5” but I’m thinking I need 1.75”

    Is there ant reason you don't tack the nuts on the inside of the rings?

    • @ht_fab3525
      @ht_fab3525  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just not designed to be done that way I guess. You would most likely damage the nyloc nuts anyways if you welded them.

    Any reason a fella couldn't put these weld on beadlocks on front and back of wheel? To have a both sided beadlock wheel like a baddass?

      Not sure if this style rock ring would clear the brakes? But im sure something could be made for that application.
