  • These are actually pretty good quality for the price, they have nice castings that do not have pitting or defects. They come with decent magnetic soft jaws and the lead screw is spring preloaded making it so the movement does not have end play and so the vise is easier to use.

Nice vises. Very fair review on them. I have to say I watch these with my son and he misses Tiny at the end of the videos.

Wahoo! Love these vise reviews. I have a 12-year-old Bessey 6" and a 3" Tulsa; both are real workhorses. Great review, Ty. And free is always good!

Cats, I picked up a 6” Bessey at True Value and it’s not a bad piece. A little loose and it’ll never be a Wilton but it fit the bench corner and gets the job done. I could see getting one of these It’s just hard to pull the trigger on something you can’t handle first. I think this piece would be perfect for mounting to a tailgate on a part time service truck. If it disappeared, it’s easily replaceable and it’s heavy enough to deter someone from stealing the tailgate all together.

One reviewer on Amazon gave his Vevor vise a 1 star rating because it snapped within a day. He has a picture of the vise after it snapped as well.

Boy that 6.5 inch vise looks way less beefier on your vid than it looks on the Amazon add. Thanks for making this vid. I’m gonna buy the 6.5” Doyle now

1:48 "I'm giving this one to my older father."
As opposed to his younger father.

Hello and thanks for the review. 9 months later how is it holding up? Thinking about buying but would be willing to spend a little more if you have a better recommendation?
    Thanks.

I wasn't impressed with mine. Sent it back. The lead screw is only a half and inch in diameter!!! And the traveling jaw is hollow up near halfway into it. I thought the Rengue vise that was similar looking would be different based on their info, but they look to be the same model with different paint . They are inexpensive, though, and would probably fit the bill if you really aren't really wrenching on them. I can't get over the lead screw diameter size, though. I have some vintage 2" gunsmith and jewlers vises with bigger diameter screws 😅

Good for the price - Here in Australia the 6 1/2" doesn't exist on the website, only the 6" for $97, currently listed as 'out of stock'.
Apparently, 'free delivery', these companies really benefit a LOT from China's govt paid post service.
If I went to the tool store today I KNOW a lot of the Chinese vices for similar price are absolute garbage by comparison.
That said no brick and mortar store is claiming that a cheap cast vise is a forged vise, that is strictly false advertising.

Hello. I have two questions for you about the Vevor vise. Do you have to buy the four bolts that attach the vise to the table or do they come with the vise for free? And where did you buy these vices?
    Thank you

you are killing your channel with all these sponsored vids of import junk. Harbor freight stuff is bad enough, but at least you paid for most of that. I can not trust any review for an item that was given to the reviewer.

Harbor freight is decent. Have many tools that have lasted me years and still work to this day. Just need to know what to stay away from.

Catus, could you do a review on Vevor's 6"x12" magnetic chuck? Thank you.
