Britton, I wish I could wrap my arms around you in a big hug. It hurts this old lady’s heart to hear your sorrow at finding Mr. James Jackson.
I know that it doesn’t get easier to be the one that finds the missing. Please talk to the officers around you to see how they handle situations like this.
Your mental health is so important, take the time you need to talk it out and make it easier to handle. Please let us know if you need help. Don’t be afraid to ask, it doesn’t make you weak. It makes you a stronger person!

Job well done Chaos and crew. Britt, most never get used to that, but you will need to learn to decompress, that will help you to avoid future burn out. Talk to someone who can help you figure that out. Everyone is different. Perhaps a hospital or police chaplain. Jacob, watch the dark soda, and sport drink intake. They contribute in development of kidney stones.

Once again, words cannot explain just how incredible it is for the work that you do to provide answers for these families!!! Jacob on another note, I had to chuckle at your comment knowing the multiple sirens response was for you. I managed a large apartment community for a lot of years that was almost like a city within a city. For whatever reason which I still will never understand, residents felt the need to call the manager's office to have us call 911. Yes, even if their stove was on fire or a family member was having a heart attack. Depending on the level of the emergency and while still on the phone with dispatch, you could instantly hear the sirens of the responding vehicles coming at you from various directions. It happened so often being such a large community, from the various nuances of the siren I could pinpoint the vehicle responding, its general starting point, and the priority (speed) at which it was approaching at. No shortage of stories though on the nature of a lot these calls.

I had a kidney stone earlier this year. It was the worst pain I’ve ever had, and I’m a cancer survivor. It was worse than that. I ended up having surgery for it. I know how you feel! Yet you got right back out there and found him. 💕

God Bless you all for Bringing Mr. Jackson Home! Brit, I'm a paramedic of 46 years. I was told I would never make it in EMS because I wear my emotions on my sleeve. Great Job Brother, Those emotions show that you care. Remember to you and the team to take care of yourselves! Talk to others in this same field. My one suggestion would be to reach out to Doug Bishop! You all do a great job! Keep up the great work and stay safe!

When I had my drunken driver hit-and-run accident, the fire EMT engine came to treat me and transport me to the hospital ER. I was later told that the EMTs with the fastest availability are who respond girst to a scene. Likely what happened to you, Jacob.
Thank you CD, DoH, & RoD for your continued efforts, dedication, and sharing of your time, skills, and selves to complete these missions. May God continue to look over you, guide you, and protect you in all you do!

Hearing Britton's voice breaking as he talked about Mr. Jackson in the vehicle broke my heart. 15:39 Don’t even wanna imagine what he saw down there. Mr. Jackson still buckled up… I can’t imagine that flood of emotion. Elation, that you finally found him. Heartache that the family now will have to fully mourn his loss. And comfort knowing they’ll at least get somewhat of closure.
