Thats likely the influence of the seattle area via microsoft and apple. Tate went to Interlake high school in Bellevue. This was the era of Seventh Force before grunge hit in the early 90s. Tate used to exercise at the Golds Gym in Kirkland.
Karen Marie when I first watched this video I thought Goeff tate was gay then through years of hearing them I started to like his voice. I'm still not into that type of rock. My favorite band is Megadeth and slayer

SO SO SO Amazing!! Queensryche is one of the greatest bands of all time. No matter what there disputes are, the music and messages were filled with passion and talent.
I got to meet all the original members of Queensryche during a record release party for Promised Land at Bad Animal studio's in Seattle. They all seemed pretty down to earth and took the time to chat with us and didn't act like a bunch of rock stars. It's unfortunate whats happened between these guy's the past few years.
Difficult to say but this might be my favorite track from the Ryche. Loved how they tried to create individual hits on Empire. This track got me through some of my lowest moments last year
Queensryche has written some of the most powerful and moving lyrics I have ever heard. A band with extraordinary talent. From my hometown too, which makes me love them even more. I remember when their E.P. came out way back when. The song "The Lady Wore Black" was quite popular in Seattle when I lived there in 85.

Was lucky enough to see them 5 times Geoff Tate's amazing and the drummer with those chains wrapped around his kit. 🤩🤩
This is what a perfect song sounds
A great song Geoff Tate has a powerful eerie beautiful voice that touches everyone's heart great song writer n a great guitar solo Chris Degarmo one of the greatest guitar player in heavy metal rock. Queensryche still rocking hard today.😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🌹🌹❤️❤️🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
What a song, what an album!!!! I loved it from day one!!!!!!
Really he was good
The best voice
His voice, and OMG his lyrics! So intelligent. So heartful. Awesomeness is what it all is! Rock on friends & peace out!
I listened to Queensryche a lot in my last year in college. Virginia Tech, 1998. Brings back a lot of cool memories.
For whatever reason, I didn't care for these guys when I got into music, especially metal...I can't believe I didn't see how awesome they are! Love them now....27 years later.
Thats likely the influence of the seattle area via microsoft and apple. Tate went to Interlake high school in Bellevue. This was the era of Seventh Force before grunge hit in the early 90s. Tate used to exercise at the Golds Gym in Kirkland.
I only knew the name. then this came up on one of the playlists suggested by TH-cam. It's fantastic!
Karen Marie when I first watched this video I thought Goeff tate was gay then through years of hearing them I started to like his voice. I'm still not into that type of rock. My favorite band is Megadeth and slayer
Karen Marie it's all good! You're jammin now.
Same here!.
Queensryche, you are the lover that got me through some tough times. Thankyou. You already know you are one of the best bands there is.
my boyfriend that passed away in October always sang this song when we broke up. I love rain and it always reminded him of me. Love this song forever. RIP George
Amber Dawn may he rest in peace
You
My husband also passed 7 yrs ago, we loved queensryche !
Me too. RIP Michael....
This song is how I feel after the passing of my wife three years ago on January 5th I love this and "our" song Silent Lucidity. My deepest condolences.
SO SO SO Amazing!! Queensryche is one of the greatest bands of all time. No matter what there disputes are, the music and messages were filled with passion and talent.
He has the sexiest voice!!
Sexy man and sexy voice
@@tgrlilly I Agree 😀😁 💖.
Yes! 100% 🤍🎼🤘🏼
The best voice in metal...........EVER
not even top 5
He used to be before he blew his voice out so.
name a vocalist in the top 5....
+James Massingale bruce dickinson
Its dickerson, and no where near Geoff Tate
I got to meet all the original members of Queensryche during a record release party for Promised Land at Bad Animal studio's in Seattle. They all seemed pretty down to earth and took the time to chat with us and didn't act like a bunch of rock stars. It's unfortunate whats happened between these guy's the past few years.
Difficult to say but this might be my favorite track from the Ryche. Loved how they tried to create individual hits on Empire. This track got me through some of my lowest moments last year
I love this band his voice is amazing 🤩
I really miss these days.
Me too
2021...Still rocking this song...KEEP ON ROCKING!!!
On another level vocal talent is incredible 👏
Queensryche has written some of the most powerful and moving lyrics I have ever heard. A band with extraordinary talent. From my hometown too, which makes me love them even more. I remember when their E.P. came out way back when. The song "The Lady Wore Black" was quite popular in Seattle when I lived there in 85.
Is Queensryche a Washington state band?
@@m.asquino7403
💟 Yes;
Queensrÿche is an American heavy metal band:
Formed, in 1980, in Bellevue, Washington, out of the local band the Mob.
True metal. Only, with a helluva lotta class! Always time to listen, then time to bang the head! Yes?
"Strange how laughter looks like crying with no sound
Raindrops taste like tears
Without the pain"
great writing
Wow. He was so beautiful. I adored him and his Queensryche album way back then. Damn he was gorgeous.
+Amanda Cavanaugh Not so much now, though....
+WomackPhotoKCMO
Who fucking cares?
Music is art, I dont listen to music because the artist is hot or something stupid like that. Your attitude belong in the pop scene, its all about looks and no music talent.
+Amanda Cavanaugh Thank you hon... I've been working out. Lol! Yeah, Tate used to moisten my second wife the same way. Must've been his leather pants :-) Great band! Great vocalist!
+Amanda Cavanaugh I had the hugest crush on him. He was so cerebral, and was so handsome
+WomackPhotoKCMO he doesn't look terrible
this time period for music can never be duplicated
Love this band. They sound amazing live.
Iconic vocals & power driven style only unique to the best band ever.
Ryche on!
Nah they lost me on 'Empire' Such a leap forward on Mindcrime and then.. the very next album 10 steps backward with a predictable mainstream corporate homogenized dumbed down sounding sellout for the masses... I hated it... Just as I always hate it...
👍👍
Hell yeah!
Sean Morpheus Enjoy what you like
Sean Morpheus Breaking the silence Sean!
Chris DeGarmo: The most underrated lead guitarist in rock history!!!!
CRYSTAL PEEK No, that is Criss Oliva, a genius 😊
@@Andrea-en2su yes, you're right !
DeGarmo was an absolute badass as a songwritter !

@@Andrea-en2su Olivia one of my favorites. Snd Degarmo is too. Both badass
Remember making love in the rain! Wow! This man and his voice just rip at your emotions!
