This video was very informative, but you don't need to remove the airbox at all. We were able to get the distributor in and out with no problem without removing the airbox. I gave the video a like

@@memopadilla5931 hey bro, you see how that distributor connector had a perfect outline of where it plugs in, if the spool rotates and you put it in with the teeth on the wrong sides your timing will be off by 180 degrees so just gotta make sure the lil spool hasn’t rotated

Thanks for posting this - I'm thinking of doing this job tonight - otherwise it costs $78 at the mechanic to take care of this. Word of caution: always disconnect negative from your battery - and please do NOT lay your wrenches on the battery. You'll get a "hit" one of these days and it won't feel good!

I replaced the seal and after about 10 or 15 seconds when oil pressure builds, its starts a drip and then streams out pretty much just like it did before the new o-ring. No visible damage or anything on the pump or in the hole of the head. Mind boggled.

After changing the distributor car won't start - I've checked everything you have said here and others. It's a 96 model coupe - won't start and the check engine light codes as a distributor issue? Is this normal? and do you have to reset the ecu computer and have it learn the new modification after getting it to run? Any help I can get would be appreciated - currently new distributor slid in only one way as the video says - pretty easy install but no start. Thanks

Thanks for this. I just replaced the radiator and top 2 hoses...Thought I fixed the problem then I turn it on drive it for like 1/4 of a mile and it over heats again. I let it over heat so I can shut the car off and find the hissing noise..The heater hose was definitely leaking coolant and was hard to see under the distributor...So now I can kill 2 birds here with the o-ring and heater hose.

If it was a '95 or earlier, is it possible that the shaft got placed in 180 degrees off? (I'm not sure if this is how it works, but I heard that if it's a '96 or later you can't do this... was the video made using a '96 or later Accord?)
Awesome vid by the way. I'm a novice so I'm just learning what I can online.

check the heater hose or the coolant hoses. Its probably leaking from there.

NutzAboutBolts , I changed plugs and distributor. I am certain I did the distributor correctly. if the spark plug wires are mixed up, will the car still crank ? mine isn't doing anything at all now, not turning over but I also think I had a weak starter already...just trying to narrow it down

mixed wires won't start, you probably over crank it and killed the battery...

As u wrote this I just pulled the starter out. The 12v split. I just bought this as a third car, used , so I had already bought a new starter anyway to be prepared. Thanks for replying. And oh I had the battery tested first, its fully charged so I drew my attention to the starter.
