  • I went to a local carnival with my wife and son. While they went on some rides I decided to grab a beer in the beer garden. I couldn't help but notice the DJ was using the new Harbinger Vari series speakers that Guitar Center came out with. I thought they sounded "okay" and seeing these speakers are priced at a low @$249 each I figured I would post a quick video of how they sound in case anyone is doing some research on these speakers.

Could we use them as monitors for a 3 pc band??

So they just sounded "Okay" to you? Do you think that they sounded good for the price??

Yes, they sounded okay. They sound much better than the previous Harbinger APS series speakers. Good value for the price. However, if you can manage to spend $70 to $120 more per speaker then I would recommend Alto TS212s, or TS215s. Those are the best bang for buck speakers on the market and sound awesome! Check out my video titled "Alto TS212 vs Yamaha DBR10" for what the Alto TS212 sounds like.

i have had these for a year and had to have 3 replaced- i use a lot and after awhile at mid volume they will make a loud knock sound and shut off--- have you ever had this problem?

Yeah got 2 of these V2115s. 1 sounds a bit scratchy and the other one cuts in & out and pops when the bass hits. Not worth the money on these. Go for the Mackie Thump15s instead.

@@djartbeatsentertainment I disagree the Mackie Thump 15's sound much worse and cost more. They are very muddy. If you know what youre' doing the Harbingers should last a long time, thats what the clip indicator is for.
