What a beautiful visitor and how fortunate you were to have seen her. Thanks for sharing. ❤
I agree that bobcat was stunning. It is a shame that wildlife is getting pushed out of their own habitat by humans.
so beautiful!!!
They were here before us (bobcats/coyotes/bears)
Oh my gosh. 10 out of 10 would try to hug. For sure would get half eaten...but it's okay...I'm Australian so.....
@@xomacennavlogs it is possible for the water ,but it is also possible someone has been leaving out dog or cat food near you and it was searching do to a empty bowl. Have lived on ranch and farms in Texas have left food out away from the house so they don't come for the animals.
Darling MaCenna ! I think you need a cute little stool to reach easily your shelfs, instead of using your lovely chairs!! I can not wait to see the final result of your patio😊 Lots of love from Amsterdam❤
omg you're so right i should move one that i have in there so i can use it instead
I thought the same thing. 😊
Won't be long before Cade is being pulled about in the cart at flea markets! dodging the picture frames and books his mother piles on top of him! 😂 beautiful bobcat!
hahah 100%
I understand the fear for Kinsley, but hey, if you ever wanna invest in a wildlife cam or two, to place in the yard and the hill/backgarden, maybe... it would be good to monitor what other animals frequent your yard, and what their patterns of behavior are, for fun and for safety reasons! 😋 But also how cool to watch the footage every other month and show Cade when he grows up! Not to mention content for us! If it's really a zoo out there, let's see it!!!
Great advice
Yes please!!!! Someone else commented about the State may do that for you for observation purposes. But having some wild life content would be amazing 💜💙💚💛🧡
@@cathleenweaver6483 I looove watching camera trap footage, it's fascinating. 😋 To be fair, that wasnt advice as much as me wanting some extra cool wildlife content... lol And I'm sure they can put the cost of the wildlife cams on the channel expenses if they show us the footage! 😂
@@katymaloney Oh, I didn't know they were setting traps eek no. I thought it was just for observation. If that's the case then personal cameras for sure 😊💜💙💚💛🧡
@@cathleenweaver6483 Oh no! “Camera traps” are just wildlife cameras that only film when there’s movement!!! 😅 They are not hurting anything!
My family and i live in san diego and my in-laws' live on a canyon (in the middle of the city) and we've regularly seen bobcats and coyotes and various other critters. You could always get kinsley a coyote vest for your walks and letting her out. They're spikey and will make her look a bit bigger and a little less like prey...
Probably a good idea. Hawks will take a dog too.
We have bobcat in Florida. They’re typically more afraid of you than you are of them. They’re beautiful creatures!
The bobcat is beautiful. I am sure it won't bother you but I would keep an eye on your puppy. Most predators will generally go after easy prey.
It sounds like your dishwasher might be going out due to the voltage being incorrect. I would call your contractor and have him check your electrical panel and make sure the dishwasher is plugged into the correct voltage and making sure the amps are correct. It kight be overloading the electrical panel and that is why is is safety power off is happening. Hope this helps ❤
You & Romeo are great parents.
I'm not surprised you changed your routine. You have always been on the ball Macenna.
Such an inspiration. ❤🫂🥹
I live in the country and we have chicken's. All of my girls were going crazy one day and I stepped out on my deck and there was a bobcat hanging on to one of my pens . Totally freaking me out for a minute. I ran inside and got my gun and shot in the sky and it ran off so fast. I didn't want to kill it. A couple of weeks later my husband had to do the same thing while I was running errands. We're hoping it doesn't come back a third time. Please be careful and alert of your surroundings . Poor Kinsley isn't going to know what to think about not being able to go outside. It's just crazy that you have to worry about things like that in the city. Can't wait to see how your deck comes out. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful family with us and all of the hard work you put into your channel's. See you in the next one 🤗💓💕💞
Scary!!
@@Lucinda_Jackson very
Thank you for not killing the bobcat. Really, thank you.
@@odd-one-out4409
😂 Nobody said anything about killing the bobcat!
@@odd-one-out4409 nope it was to beautiful of an animal.
When you said we wouldn’t believe it unless it was caught on camera I was worried about the dishwasher but a bobcat is far more nerve wracking! Hope you all stay safe and the wildlife moves out of your neighborhood!
Hmmm the neighbourhood belongs to nature and wildlife. We just still from them. So no hope they don’t leave and that we learn to be less scared.
Exactly. Our city has been clearing left and right and people complain about the wildlife. We have multiple coyotes and bobcats moving to our farm as their forests are taken. They don't bother anyone. You just have to learn to respect wildlife and keep your domestic animals safe.
I live in a small town in Arizona. We are often visited by wildlife - Javelina, snakes, squirrels, toads, quail, scorpions, etc. One day, returning home from the grocery store, I discovered a bobcat lounging on my patio. They're beautiful! But it freaked me out, even though I'm used to critters. I wasn't calm enough to grab my phone and take a video. ❤
Beautiful creatures enjoy them when you get to see them
Such a blessing for both of you to "work from home" to be there for Cade. I was a single Mom of 2 sons from the time they were 4 and 8 until 18 and I can tell you kids thrive on schedules. They will let you know when to change a schedule when young; and definitely LET YOU KNOW they don't like it when older hehe. I found easiest way is to be consistent in whatever way you and Romeo decide. You are going to have so much fun with kiddos 💜💙💚💛🧡
Definitely keep your dog in because they will take the dog. But as far as you guys being in the backyard, they're very stealth style animals. They don't like to be seen and so they will move away from you if you are in the yard, so don't be afraid of that, but don't let the dog in the yard alone they will come into Hunt. I live with mountain lions Bears bobcats turkeys tons of deer coyotes are moving through my yard. Lots of birds of prey also owls Blackhawks, red tail, hawks, etc. I love where I live, but animals outside are challenging in this neighborhood.
Schedules are important for a baby too. They thrive better on a schedule. A schedule also keeps you on track so you can get more things done. You are an excellent mom. You have such a cute and precious baby. Hugs❤
I agree the bobcat was very pretty! But wow…that was scary for sure! I agree keep Kingsley in your sight…for sure! He must have been looking for something to eat! Wow! TY for sharing! See you on Sunday! 😊
We have Bobcats quite often. They come up on our porch and snoop around the house. We have cats and they are never bothered by the Bobcat. We live in the country so they are more common here
I live in Colorado and when my daughter was 2 she was playing while I was doing dishes and I hear her say “pity kitty” over and over again. It was a bobcat looking eye to eye with her through the French door! We had just moved to CO so it freaked me out! I used to walk to the neighborhood park every day with her, I quickly stopped that and only went when my husband could join us. I hear they usually leave people alone but I don’t want to test that theory. ❤
oh my goshhhhh!!
😱 yikes!
I just got yr candle..
It's amazing, thank you.
Thank you for all you do on yr channel.
I'm trying to put together a schedule for myself .
I'm dealing with depression and I need to keep my mind going for more positive than negative.
Please continue with yr ideas... they truly help..
Cant wait till next post...❤🎉
You know you’re making good choices with your renovations when wildlife comes by to take a look. 😅
Loving all the flea market vlogs !! 🫶🏼🍂
Great vlog. Fabulous shots of the Bobcat. Take care ❤
On Shark Tank once they had a company who made these bright and silly looking vests/halters for small pets. Specifically to protect against predators. It’s spikey but safe because it’s rubber if I remember correctly. It would protect sweet Kinsley going in the yard. I think it everytime I see her outside since the coyote you saw up in the trees.
These vests work. A small dog is prey to a bobcat.
They're called coyote vests.
Oh the joy - just got a cup of tea and there you are. 😍
I live in northern Ontario, Canada and we have wildlife in our backyard all the time :) Moose, bears, deer, foxes... and there all beautiful and so fun to watch. We also have bears at our landfills allll the time. But this vikdeo was excatly what I neede3d tonight. Oh and the book... its part of a series and its so good, cutesy and perfect for fall reads :)
My dishwasher used to do that where I had to keep unplugging and replugging in the wall! I went and found where the wires were connected in the washer itself and they were black from melting or sparking! Mine is a Samsung and the wires were on the side toward the front. I was able to rewire and haven’t had a problem since! Be careful with the bobcats. They can get over fences and attack small animals.
How lucky to have such a beautiful visitor 😊
Dear girl, check this again: on the flea market, 9:28 in the middle of that shot - there is Globe Wernicke 5 tier bookcase - they are not mid-century modern but modern classics, designed in 1930s (I think ) - we use them for books but also as an entertainment centre - their segments can be taken apart and made lower (or taller if you find more units), you can easily remove the door permanently - or just keep them open at all the time since they slide above the shelf content and stay out of the way. I love them so much and have seen people using them in dining room for crockery and glassware, in the bathroom for toiletries... and, of course, for books that are spared from dust and other elements... Good luck hunting, I love your visits to markets and estate sales..!
We’ve encroached on their habitat. It’s not surprising many of us are seeing more wildlife in suburban and urban areas.
I would have SO snagged those Louis XV caned lounge chairs at the Rose Bowl!!! They can easily be re-caned!
Wow MaCenna what a beautiful surprise. Your mom should make a painting of it and name it MaCenna's Bobcat. And I woul really see a nice looking Kitchen Ladder in your kitchen ( like the one they use for some library. Thank's for sharing a piece of your life you guys are sweethearts. 🤩
just an idea, maybe you could build your own step stool / stepladder? and one day Cade can use it too around the house 😊
I had a bobcat in my yard and the neighborhood cat chased it off.
😹
My friend had a brilliant idea regarding her top shelf. She fixed a mirror (which had a light around the edge) on to a shelfie stick. It works brilliantly. 😊

Ooh wow..yep that’s a bobcat..looks like a young one too..hope the mama isn’t around too..I would never ever let kensley out again without a leash so u have control..coyotes and bobcat r soo sneaky and fast, they will snatch her up b4 u can react..I’ve seen it happen..and u will never unhear the cries as they take her..u won’t think they r around til it’s too late..and it probally came cause it smelled her if it was hungry or just passing through but u never know if it comes back..I’d put wildlife cameras out so u can see very thing that comes around..I looove the pantry drawers..an the deep drawers for pot n pans to have room where they are crowded o on top each other..very well done!🩷🙏🩷
My step mum bought a rusted iron table set and cleaned it up and repainted it, looks so beautiful now 😊
What a beautiful bobcat, seems to be a young one. ❤
I definitely think the trainwell workouts are working! You are glowing! 😊
My toxic trait is I would leave cat food the bobcat 😂 in Australia we worry about venomous snakes in our yard. Being spring here they are out in full force. I don’t make friends with the brown snakes lol
Hello Australia !! My first instinct would be to leave food out also. That's what why they're in the yard. That's also why it would back. Maybe in a perfect world.
The bobcat distribution system is hard at work😂
Those chairs at 10:33 seemed great!!
I thought exactly the same thing.
My son and I watched a bobcat stroll across our backyard just about a week ago! We are in TN, but that was the first time I've seen one IRL, too. They are beautiful!
The bobcats & coyotes might be getting pushed into the towns due to land development/construction in their habitat. So cool you got a video, my jaw dropped lol I wasn't expecting that. Glad y'all are safe.❤
The chairs at 10:24 seem to fit the vibe you’re looking for. Low, deep/cozy seats, warm tones match your loungers and you’d be able to make cushions.
Saw my first Christmas commercial of the year on this MaCenna vlog even though it's only Oct 17th. As always MaCenna, you are ahead of the game. I really enjoyed the calmness of this video, bobcat not withstanding. It had a nice feel.
Just fyi- the content creators (MaCenna in this case) have no say in what commercials TH-cam shows. I know a lot of people think they are responsible for which ads play, but that is not the case! Just thought I’d mention that 😊 xo
We live in suburban NE Florida...we have a huge bobcat we see regularly on our security cameras walking down our front walk after dark. You better believe I make a lot of noise when taking the garbage out!
Love that you have scheduled time for work and baby! Hopefully you are scheduling time for your relationship and yourself! ❤
My husbands grandparents have a cat that is half bobcat named feisty. They found him, as a kitten, dehydrated and alone on their property in Texas, they assume his mother abandon him. They brought him home and he has been with them for 13 years. He is a really cool cat.
I really enjoy the flea market videos. There are soo many pretty and interesting items to look at.🕵♀
I saw a video about the possibility of contaminants in plastic coffee pods and the aluminum top. It said to use reusable stainless pods that you add the coffee to yourself instead so no aluminum bits in your coffee or anything bad from the plastic.
I live in Austin and get so many fun animal visitors. Raccoons, possums, grey fox! All in my backyard. Mountain Lion has been seen in parts of the neighborhood but that’s in the more hill country side.
BTW - with all the toile trending.. lots of unexpected cute things are urban outfitters
Many neighborhoods here in North Texas have bobcats on a regular basis. You are correct in keeping Kinsley in but as far as it bothering you, I don’t think there’s any worry. We had coyotes in the big bear mountains and I would walk through shit sues. They were always on a leash and many times coyotes with passes so they would follow me, but we never had any problems with them. We also had Burros And one of the babies came home with me. She hung around and mom finally came and got her.
I miss Texas flea markets - it seems they had way better things :)
They did mention that they’ll be going to Texas for the holidays so maybe she can go to some then!
I lived in Klamath falls, Oregon and enjoyed our neighborhood Farmers Market.
Yaay a new video alert ❤
Omg yes!!! They will come after her with you right there!!! And they are soooo quite!!
I have so much respect for all of you living in areas with potentially dangerous animals and insects. We don't really get that in the UK. I would move in a heartbeat i'd be so scared.
Welcome to our world in AZ. Coyotes, bobcats, hawks and owls in the city. Fortunately we have a big dog but always vigilant. Also keep the loud safety whistle that boat people use on patio and on leashes to scare animals away if needed. Never walk the dog after dark unless husband is with too. Wild animals in the neighborhood make a difference. I’ve walked right by a bobcat out walking the dog. It’s probably the thing you have to worry about the least when out in your yard. They want nothing to do with people. I would suggest going outside with Kinsley every time. Friends have also spotted havalina and mountain lion too.
Ooo time for my afternoon coffee and video break! Yay!
We have bobcats in our backyard too and we bring an air horn out with us when we take our pug out just incase they make an appearance so they will be scared away by the sound and not hurt my baby!
Isn’t it nice that you have the space to really be organized?❤
Oh yeah ! It's Xo Macenna time ! Wait for me, i'm making tea ;)
I'm very glad you saw that cat. For Kinsley's sake. They do not like human interaction . That one looks young. I'm sure it just got off track . No outside alone for baby girl tho. Sheesh.
Baby boy~
@@tracygarrett3952 Kinsley is a girl.
Hey, I noticed that vertical crack in your retaining wall. I used to work for a foundation repair company so I have a hard time NOT seeing these things lol. But...that crack can be a sign of the retaining wall bowing or of it settling. Settling probably is important since it's a retaining wall. But if it's bowing, I'd maybe just keep an eye on it, measure the width of the crack every so often to see if it's actively moving. Address it if you see it is. Usually a foundation repair company can help with it, but Cali might be diff than MN for the type of company. I think EagleLift is in Cali, they were one of the dealers for my former companies products and maybe can point you in the right direction.
Lots of wildlife coming down from the hills in the LA area. I’m from Glendale, and they have an intense coyote issue! Coyotes roaming around all the way down to the 134/5 fwy area! Crazy! I’ve had friends tell me about coyotes jumping on people to get to their little dogs that they’re holding in their arms! 🤯 Be careful with your pup as coyotes are not just nocturnal anymore.
HAPPY FALL THURSDAY IN OCTOBER MaCenna, Romeo, Cade, and Kinsley Sweetheart. We have small dogs too, and we live with a Zoo in our culdesac. When we walk them I carry a bat, because you never know if there is a dog loose, def have fox and coyotes, and so many deer. Our neighborhood knows us because they know I always carry a bat when walking our little dogs, I figure at least we can get away once I hit their nose or whatever it takes. Yes, please be careful. Take a bat or something outside with you and keep it near. Enjoy your week. STTB🧡🧡🧡🧡
Hey…that was my college mascot hanging out in y’all’s backyard!! Shoutout to Texas State University at San Marcos!!
Love you MaCenna!
omg ILY
Hey, love your channel, and your new kechen 🎉
I agree I would be scared. Great video and take care.
Organizing a pantry is the best therapy for a long day!
That was a treat I loved looking at all the things, sorry you didn’t find a great outside set!
MaCenna, your hair is so lovely.
OMG MaCenna! That $65 brass wall hook you picked up literally had my jaw drop - I have two hanging in my home identical that I got for $10 total. WILD
Your kitchen chandelier gets me every time. So beautiful!
Just my opinion, I wouldn't worry at all about the bobcat, as far as you walking. They won't bother you. Now Kinsley is so little, I would definitely keep her close, and not let her run around right now. We had Bobcats in Laguna Beach, and they never troubled anyone. Coyote are a problem for small animals too.
In jr high, my boys got to go into a cage of a bobcat with a trainer, who trained animals for films. The bobcat hugged them, rubbed his head on theirs, they came out with the biggest grins.
I live in San Diego diwn the road from you. We have Bobcats in our area where the canyons have been destroyed for construction of housing projects. We're making their habitat smaller and smaller.
Wow so foggy at the outdoor market, it looked so nice. Still waiting for fall here in No. Calif., it is getting cooler but I want sweatshirt’s weather 🍂😉🍂
I’m from Australia and I’ve always found it funny that Americans say they never want to visit here because of all the spiders and snakes but surely you would rather come up against a spider or snake over a bobcat, bear or mountain lion 😂😂 it’s all I could think about when I traveled to the states 😅
I really wouldn't worry about the bobcat
MaCenna, I have lived in Santa Fe with two little poodles on a 4 acre property outside the city. We had bobcats, snakes, hawks and goshawks, coyotes and wolves. My poodles and myself were always safe. I never let them out of my fenced backyard without me but I did take lots of walks with my poodles not on leashes because it was in the country, my dogs followed me and never strayed around. We were always safe.
I am from New York and went to visit my brother in Florida he lived in a apartment complex and one of the days I started following this gorgeous cat because I am a cat lover I couldn’t see the cat really well because we were far so I kept calling it over until my brother came down and told me no no no stop it is a bobcat Lmaoo I was like no way is a parking lot. It was a bobcat 😂 I almost almost tried to go pet it 🤦🏻♀️
MaCenna hold the power button down on the dishwasher for at least 20 to 30 seconds. It’s like a reboot on the machine. I have done it several times to different dishwashers over the years that I thought I needed to replace. After doing this…. No more issues.
Happy Fall Macenna!!!🍂🍁
I live in Vermont and we have bobcats often. I have never heard of them approaching humans, or even dogs/cats that are with humans. Mostly small pets that are alone outside. They are so beautiful up close! We also have lynx here. Our dogs can't be trusted to stay in our yard when alone so they are always with one of us. Never had issues with our coyote packs or bobcats and fishers!
I love this vlog little of everything . As always Thanks for sharing
We have city Bob cats all the time. Of course its Alberta Canada. My friend had a den in her yard one year. She got to watch mom and babies until they got old enough for mom to move to second den. Also our local dog park is fenced and has several joined fox dens just outside the fence on a hill. Momma keeps a good eye on kits. She moves them to the second den when they get more adventures with age. My beagle loves watching them play through the fence.
I love foxes and have only had good experiences with them. I used to take my two small doxies out to a particular area in my yard every night around 12:30-1 AM. It was under a small tree and well lit from a street light and my automatic floodlights at the corner of the garage. It's a pretty wild area - woods across the street, houses are far apart and there are woods and a golf course behind me. We saw several foxes over time and they were curious but gave us a wide berth. There was one, though, who was always standing across the street at the curb, just watching us. Not in a predatory way, but she just seemed really curious and loved to watch the doxies walk around (on leashes - just a split rail fence on that side). I swear she was waiting for an invitation to come join us and play! I won't go out that way or in the back if I hear the coyotes, though. They do hang around the house at night and I'm scared of them. A bobcat would terrify me!
I just cnt wait for your this year’s Christmas decorations. Yeyyyyyy ❤😂
LA has a lot of bobcats and coyotes you live right near the hill in LA. they come down to attack small animals when they are hungry. be careful with kingsley. they sell little dog coats that have spikes on them so the coyotes will drop the dog if they try to attack them.
Having lived in Victoria, BC and Calgary we see wildlife all the time. The amount of cougars on the island is crazy. Always watching out for small pets and young children. We see bobcats on our golf course and around our neighborhood in Calgary, all the time. They don’t seem to bother with us at all. But better to be safe!
You should make a door like the one on the fridge for your dishwasher.
I wish there was a video game called The Pumpkin Spice Cafe. That sounds like such a fun and cozy game to play!
Watch sweet little kinsley w/that bobcat 😩
Yes, too much water dilutes your blood! Please be careful to check what is a safe amount to drink. Two bottles seems fine, but three may be pushing it. It is also recommended that you drink warm room temperature water.
Every time I've seen a bobcat outside they just run away.. I'd be much more wary of coyotes.
I have a regular bob cat who visits my backyard in California. She's never tried to attack me but I always give her space. She eats the ground squirrels. They are beautiful! PS: long time follower and love you! 💕
Time to put some motion sensor lights out among your property so the wild animals will be willing to leave more quickly. Also, maybe a wildlife camera to make extra sure there is no other animals you have not caught on camera. We have cameras and have caught many animals, like a fox family, that we were made aware of. We have small dogs and don't want them hurt. The cameras have made us more aware of the times these animals are out hunting.
You are fairly lucky, here on Vancouver Island, we have the largest population of cougars in the country. That and black bears, we live in bear country. Grizzlies up north, wolves and black widow spiders. Hooray! I don't go outside much except during the day.
The two leather chairs at 10:40 were very cool!
Just wondering do you have a water filtration system for your ice?
Have you considered an enclosure for your backyard area? In FL, we use screened in (with screened roof) enclosures around backyard areas (especially with pools) to deter our "wildlife" (alligators, big cats, bears, etc). Of course this would be an added expense and I'm not sure about CA vs FL building guidelines, but it may provide peace of mind and additional safety for pets and children.
I live in Mo we have a lot of bobcats! I had a fox come to the front door, turkeys came to the office door & a mountain lion just trotting by in the middle of the day. I would put a game camera that sends the pics to your phone out. That way you have a record of comings & goings & you get to know their routine. They usually are noctournal. I would check into the dog vest with spikes too.
