All the jumpsuits are absolutely beautiful! The new Sari Nordlund Pohjola sweater is stunning, I love your colour choices as well as the Sonder yarn, it’s one of my favourites too. I’ve recently finished 3 of Sari’s sweaters, Lumme , Wood Anemone and Vargo pullover, also in my queue is Foxberry. I really enjoy all of your podcasts and look forward to watching each one. Thank you.
This spring I am all about knitting garments for our future baby girl Lucy, tha we are expecting in early July ! I love how fast they are knitting and the ballet of bright colors that we chose for her 😍 can't wait to see her wear them 🥰
The Augustine boxy shirt had been recommended to me a lot when I started sewing last year and you reminded me of it, so I think I’ll have to make it soon, in gingham of course 😉🤭
You have inspired me to try sewing. I knit a A LOT, and I think it would be fun to expand my creativity to sewn garments. Your garments are very beautiful!
Fellow autumn girl here! Also love the idea of the garden girl aesthetic 🤭 Pinterest really makes you want to get into those pictures and live in them right? 🪴
I often refer to my style as garden girl aesthetic, I work as a professional gardener for the City I live in, my daily outfit is Patagonia hemp work pants, blundstones, Smartwool top and an Anian melton button up. Your garden girl aesthetic is much prettier and colourful ❤ Love your spring inspiration, bring on the warmer weather.
This was a super fun podcast. I think the black gingham would be great in a jumpsuit with the little red scarf!! I think red gingham would make a lovely dress. Love the Moon Set Pullover. I'm making The Anker tee out of a Merlot color with a merino/cotton blend. Can't wait to see how your wardrobe transforms with your plans!!!❤
Hi Kaci. I just discovered your podcast and am thrilled to be here. Love your aesthetic and your spring ideas are so lovely. You’ve got me wanting to cast on everything you showed. Also! Your sewing is impeccable!
The garden girl aesthetic is perfect for you, and I love the colors you have chosen for it. I have a few sweater WIPs languishing while I am on a sock roll... I can´t get enough of them. So all my bright ideas are going into choosing my yarns, colors and designs for socks. Have fun on the KAL!
Thanks for the shoutout, Lovely!!! My moodboards are very similar to yours for Spring - faded hues of blue, forest greens, creams, and sandy browns. For Spring, I always like to throw in hints of softness like warm clay pinks, mohair or suri, sweet floral designs, or patchwork. Not much lightweight knitting on my end as three out of four seasons have fairly chilly weather, but I tend to be more of a sock and accessories knitter in the warmer months. Lots of sewing on the list this year - you always inspire me with your hand-sewn garments!
Thank you so much for this video, Kaci! Although you could be my daughter ( I am 71), I get lots of inspiration from you. I love your style! Hugs from The Netherlands! Jolande xoxo
I totally understand your garden girl aesthetic ❤️ I do not have a garden or by any means gather any ripened fruit but I dream of one and every spring I feel the longing pulling me to all things garden life like strawberry picking! Which is in season or baking with in se as on fruit. 😊❤
I learned so much in this episode🤩You have so clear thoughts about clothing and fashion/inspiration, something I struggle with. But I can see that I match your taste, and I will try to think about how I want to dress up my knits and add the right items in my wardrobe. Loves from Norway🥰🥰
Okay I absolutely love the fact that you made it lookbook for the season. I love that. I feel like I did that with the granny squares I'm making right now. I hope you do more of these. This one was gorgeous and very on key with me right now.
thanks for taking us through your thought processes to inspire us to do our own. I think the olive pants look more organic. Perhaps that is the word you were looking for. Another great podcast. Thanks
Thank you! I was having a really hard time finding words in general today as I’m recovering from the flu 😂😂😂 I still have brain fog. Organic is a great description
Those jumpsuits look so good! Also Pohjola pullover and those yarn kits are stunning 😍 I've never knitted colorwork before so am a bit too intimidated by it, but I'm excited to see your FO of it!
@@YoungfolkKnits I haven't found a colorwork hat that I like so far, but I was thinking of the Maxine Hot Water Bottle Cover (by Laura Penrose) or the Norma Sweater (by MFTK), we'll see... ☺
Dear Kathy, thank you so much for this episode! I naturally get into spring/summer mindset in February, but here in Switzerland it is still wet and cold and it will continue to do so for quite some time. I really lost my mojo a little, but crocheting on my improvised round summer bag while watching your cozy spring inspiration & plans video brought me right back into the mood - thanks a lot & grand bisou❤🙏🏼
You may not be able to name all of the current trends, but you have awesome personal style in my opinion ☺️. I think it’s because you have a great eye for both colour and details. It’s always fun and insightful to hear what inspires you! I thrifted a fitted, khaki button-up skirt some hears ago and it is indeed very effortless to style for spring and summer ☺️. It’s in high rotation (and makes biking difficult 😅).
I’m SO not a fashionista 😄 Very much stuck in the t-shirt and jeans look of my youth (a long time ago). You’ve given me some things to think about. Maybe I’ll branch out a little this year. I love the colors you’ve chosen.
Kaci, this video was so joyful, thank you! I’m having a rough time with a bereavement at the moment and your video brought me a much needed ray of sunshine. Love your fashion taste! Thanks so much x
I LOVED this episode. I was just telling a knitting friend the other day I was starting to think of spring, wanting to find inspo and then I saw your ig post about this episode and knew I had to watch it right away. Even though in WI we could have winter all the way through April the strange warm up we’re having is really pinging the spring vibes. I am also an autumn so the nutty browns, deep olives, and cream are my go to neutrals and will stick with them I’m really feeling periwinkle, fresh orange & a lighter (but muted) matcha. Can’t wait to see your makes.
Love your garden girl aesthetic! I am pretty sure I am a deep autumn so I enjoy all your colour choices. What I am totally into for this spring/summer are wide leg pleated linen pants and bermuda shorts. All my knits will go perfectly with those. Haven't found the perfect ones yet and consider sewing them but honestly I don't think I have the skills to get good results.
Thanks for making this video! I'm working on designing a capsule wardrobe myself (I'm a nursing mom so I have to have special exceptions 😂)! I would love to see a video specifically on capsule wardrobe accessories you can knit! Bonus points if there are lots of hair accessories for spring haha! Just a thought in case you want some inspiration for a series😊
Hello Kaci! I’ve been enjoying watching your videos since the beginning of this year. I love that they’re not too long and they’re very inspiring. Your colour choices for spring wear are timeless. I look forward to seeing your finished pieces. Happy making! 😊💕
Keep a shawl or cardigan in the car for those rushing the season air conditioning locations or drastic cool downs after sunset. Nothing ruins a great meal like shivering.
I LOVE your sewing content! You get such a great fit for your bottoms, do you have to do a lot of alterations to the patterns to get them to fit so well?
Yes I do! I usually feel like I need less room in my legs and more for my tummy. But I always have to make a pair first (like a wearable muslin) to check
I wish I always had a wearable muslin😒 What do you do with items that dont work, toss? I lots of times don’t want to make anything because if doesn’t turn out to be wearable I feel like it is such a waste!@@YoungfolkKnits
I’m always faintly in awe of people who wear light coloured bottoms, I can only wear light colours on top as I can’t trust myself not to sit in something!
This video was so fun and so inspiring! Is there a way we can follow you on Pinterest? I would love to take a closer look at some of the photos you shared :)
I am always concerned that the thin straps in knitted dresses/tops will be enough to support the “girls”, especially for “healthier” ladies such as myself.
“My favorite sports activity…. Which is knitting.” 😂😂😂 ❤❤❤
Also my favorite sport team 🏆
I think that "garden girl aesthetic" should totally be a thing...I love the idea of it and the visuals that it brings to mind!

Yesssss!!!!!!! It’s a great top!!!
Oh I LOVE the garden girl aesthetic!!! 😍
Thanks!!!!
I am officially in spring mode after watching this 🪴 and I love your take on the “garden girl” 👩🏼🌾
I hope you make a spring video so I can continue to be inspired
I love this video!!! You have great taste in color and style-here I thought you were just an amazing knitter haha🎉

Go for it! And thank you!
Fellow autumn girl here! Also love the idea of the garden girl aesthetic 🤭 Pinterest really makes you want to get into those pictures and live in them right? 🪴
Definitely!!
The ‘garden girl’ aesthetic is definitely a thing. Made me think of Andie McDowell in the early ‘90s film, Green Card!
I haven’t seen that movie! I have to watch it ❤
I love a good monochromatic outfit, very classic! ❤
Me too!

Ooh I love garden girl aesthetic! I’m 100% on board
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m about to cast on the Celeste as thought it could be worn in spring! I’m doing it in light grey and pinks 😍
That will be perfect!
your hat is adorable
Earthy, pastoral, forest. Green is my favorite too. I have sage-green pants and I kind of like army fatigues too.
I love green. My whole house is some shade of green. As for army britches….i retired from the Army. Hanging those things up for good.
You can google a word for its meaning and there is a symbol you can click and it will pronounce any word they have in the dictionary.
Green is the best ❤

I really love these videos - thank you for all your hard work putting them together! Love your style! 😃

I hope you share your sewing project of the pants in the neutral fabric. And a review of the fabric . Tia
I will! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for mentioning my video! I love all your earthy tones and inspiration. I can't wait for spring
I’m so ready for spring ❤
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hello ❤
I'd call it an earthy look
That sounds right ❤
Thank you so much for this video, Kaci! Although you could be my daughter ( I am 71), I get lots of inspiration from you. I love your style!

Love that!
Those jumpsuits look so good! Also Pohjola pullover and those yarn kits are stunning 😍 I've never knitted colorwork before so am a bit too intimidated by it, but I'm excited to see your FO of it!
I probably wouldn’t start with this as my first colorwork project but colorwork is easy to pick up! Maybe a hat first?
@@YoungfolkKnits I haven't found a colorwork hat that I like so far, but I was thinking of the Maxine Hot Water Bottle Cover (by Laura Penrose) or the Norma Sweater (by MFTK), we'll see... ☺
You will love knitting with Tykk Line, it’s soft and easy to use. Great drape and not too heavy. Do it!
Yay! I’m excited ❤
I do love the Darjeeling blouse and that’s what I’ll be knitting soon for spring/summer wear here in Texas. Thanks for showing!

Noil, you nailed it! The traditional noil was raw silk, your version sounds nice.
Thank you very much!
Lovely inspiration. Your jumpsuit is so nice. You've seen them beautifully 😍

Loving your color choices for the Sweater KAL. You look GR8 in your jumpsuit 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

You’re correct in the noil pronunciation. Noy-el
Awesome!
Keep a shawl or cardigan in the car for those rushing the season air conditioning locations or drastic cool downs after sunset. Nothing ruins a great meal like shivering.

I want to try some linen knit pieces, I've never knit with linen and I get hot easily so I want to experiment!

I am here for the garden girl aesthetic.
I'll check it out!
February isn’t even remotely spring here, but I can appreciate looking forward to it…
I wish we had more winter weather here for longer. Wool weather
Not sure if someone has said this yet, but it’s called “the tomato girl” aesthetic 😂 which honestly I also love saying
I'm Nalbanding a panel of a sweater, and I got a plastic grocery bag of yarn that someone gave me
Ooo have fun!
Did you get your hat in the recent degen? Because if so, me too!
I did! lol I wanted to get one at rhinebeck but never saw them
I discovered I adquirred love for neutrals.too.i adore blue but I also like green a lot ❤ lots of inspo
Love that!
I’m always faintly in awe of people who wear light coloured bottoms, I can only wear light colours on top as I can’t trust myself not to sit in something!
I can’t even do light on top because i apparently have a hole in my bottom lip.
I can so relate 😆
Hahaha I’m probably not the person who should wear light color anything 😅
lol me too!
@@YoungfolkKnitsThe day you choose to wear a light coloured item of clothing is always the day that you get served something with marinara sauce.

❤❤❤ a little bit of that
I’m pretty sure that “noil” is pronounced “noyle” in English but likely differently in French
Thank you
You’re style should be called homesteading chic 😂
Good call 😂
I am always concerned that the thin straps in knitted dresses/tops will be enough to support the “girls”, especially for “healthier” ladies such as myself.
Yes I always must wear a bra underneath. Sammy straps will have the be wide enough to hide it
You are pronouncing noil correctly!
Thank ya!
