Nice to meet you my friend! Here's the deal this is my favorite machete hands down by far it's a little heavier but it hits like a truck! The thai machete which one of my first cold steel machetes I like it but I'm not as confident in hand it's almost like you can feel it's not full tank I'm not saying it's weak I'm just saying I'd rather have my Chinese war sword machete. The Dadao swords these are based on are awesome, basically a sword, machete, and axe all in one, hell even a small shovel in a pinch lol. Evolved from large peasant blades used to clear brush, and were used by the Chinese even into WWII. Imagine how fast an army with these could clear land for camp!

Wilson tennis racquet wrap works wonders! Inexpensive and you get 3 in a pack. Knives machetes you name it. If it's too thin or you need traction it works.

Type it into the internet and search at least. I know the answer isn't always on the internet but if you TRY POORLY, at least you are trying. The Chinese war sword machete the same one in this video is my absolute favorite. I like it for a lot of reasons. It's durable it's heavy so I can use it for heavier tasks and it's easy to sharpen. The only thing I would say to you is this kind of look at what you need it for or if you just want to get one to have fun with this is definitely it but it is a bigger heavier machete
