  • In this video, we introduce a gas-powered hammer mill, perfect for gold mining in remote areas where access to electricity may be limited. This mobile and easy-to-use hammer mill has a high recovery rate, making it an efficient tool for miners looking to maximize their gold recovery efforts.
The gas motors and sluice system allow for the processing of large quantities of material with minimal effort. Simply shovel your gold-bearing material into the hopper and watch as the hammer mill crushes and pulverizes the rocks, releasing the gold particles. The sluice system then separates the gold from the crushed material, allowing for easy collection and further processing.
Whether you're a small-scale miner or operating in a remote area, this gas-powered hammer mill is an ideal solution for your gold recovery needs. So join us in this video and see how easy it is to get gold from the sluice box using this reliable and efficient hammer mill.

Have you ever thought about using Whatman Ashless Filter Paper instead of shop towels for filtering out your material and subsequent burn-off? I think it might be more efficient and possibly less expensive overall. A No. 42 at 4" Diameter or so should work for most cases. Fold it into quarters, stick it in a funnel and off you go.

Love what your doing man. Love the innovation. You could also include a sump tank and water pump that could run off the battery to recycle water. No need for a water source if you bring it with you. You could run material anywhere.

Your equipment is so good Jason, I'm pondering whether your losing that tiny amount because one side to the sluice is straight and the other is 45 degree, you could see the uneven nature of the water velocity immediately entering the slice run.... I'm thinking, if you shifted the sluice left to even out the distribution of water flow directly onto the sluice run, I reckon it will capture even more...
    Just a little ideas critique...
Do you ship out to Australia, that's a wicked little system👍🇦🇺👍

    Hey Jason,
I suspect you are going to be swamped with orders for that small hammer mill.
The fact that it can be carried in a pick up or mounted on a small trailer is going to draw in a lot of weekend prospectors.
I would like to know if you are going to produce a small size Jaw crusher that will produce one half inch or smaller material with a gas or diesel engine.
Thanks for a great video as well as the fine equipment.
I hope we soon hear from Dan that he is going to purchase one of these great little processors.

  • @davidbwa
    @davidbwa ปีที่แล้ว +2

Looks nice. Suggestion - it seems like maybe a small vertical end (1/2" or so) at the upper end of the sluice channel would prevent that water from dripping out. Or possibly a rubber dam insert. Likely not a problem for folks with constant water supply but could eliminate an unnecessary nuisance for folks with a recirc water setup. And just curious - why did you go back to lead instead of - um, Bismuth was it? Did you find a problem using bismuth or were you just out? Just wondering because in a previous video you mentioned not using lead any more.

Given this was right before the wash hit the collector sluices, it may be worth collecting it and making sure it was run through the sluice, and also look into what was causing the leakage. Just a thought. Peace!

Seems that indeed, over a larger volume the shaker table is the better recovery option, especially since it is continuous flow, on top of improved recovery.
Since I am aiming mainly at recovering sulfides even more than precious metals, for me, the shaker table is clearly the way to go. [we don't even have gold where I am, and most of the silver is locked up in galena, therefore coming in as a sulfide]
I would personally be geared up where I magnetically skim the magnetic iron first [because it is easier to use it in my steel crafting (both smithing and casting) this way] before sending the rest off to an oxygen rich roasting [to extract for sulfuric acid] and only then when it is all oxide, move over to the smelting for mid-level base metals and silver.
I figure on getting 99% iron, .03% copper, .02% lead, .005% zinc, and .000125% zinc, the rest being microscopic specks of cobalt, alumina, cadmium, uranium, and titanium.

Could you change the hammer design to be a two piece? The main hammer body and a wear plate on the end that is maybe an inch long that you can slide in on dove tails, then secure with a bolt in a well on the outer surface. If the bolt backs out, it would hit the screen and not fly out. You could remove the wear plates without removing the whole hammer.
