Is gold really worth it to buy ? In terms of the short term considering taxes and overall cost of upfront purchase then trying to resell when I actually need the liquidity, is physical or gold stocks more worth the cost ? Because it seems to be when people speak of gold their not being specific to the short term or Long term approach to justifying the purchase. Let me know your thoughts , thanks anyone.
Only worth it for your long long term investment, short term a guaranteed loss. It's all manipulated and so is Mike bias on gold because that's his business. Always keep that in perspective.
I concur with your assessment. It appears to be a viable strategy to hedge against inflation over the long-term. Thank you for sharing your insights.
Gold is often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy. An investment advisor can help you decide how much of your portfolio should be allocated to gold and select other investments that can complement your gold holdings.
@@hasede-lg9hj Please pardon me, who guides you on the process of it all?
The advisor that guides me is Sharon Ann Meny, most likely the internet is where to find her basic info, just search her name. She's established.
Ive been waiting 2 years to see this culmination 🎉
Thank you for all your effort and bringing us along for the ride Jason!
I think going across might be easiest
Jason is so fearless. The stuff he does is dangerous and it doesn’t seem to bother him very much or at all. Especially when he does most of this all by himself. He has so much passion in what he does that seems to power him and keep moving forward. I’ve watched this channel for years and he’s done some amazing things and all of it is hard work. What a guy! Just a solid man working hard and motivated.
Have you ever mined gold? The fever is a drug and gold is if the only thing one has care.
Everything is dangerous.
Just a simple question of owning the fear or letting it own you
That's because he is almost at old hand level of experience with mining
Can you explain hanging wall and foot wall?
Jason, we all want to see you win it big! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
Hey Jason, as a professional in the gold mining industry I have never seen a stationary vibratory ball mill, interesting concept. All of the operations I have worked at have rotating ball or rod mills with water, none were operated in a batch process. My observation here is you’d have to approach this more in depth scientifically to maximize % grind, graph the percentage material ground to the fine particle size versus time. Maybe also try adding in some different sized balls and see if that increases % grind versus time. As the amount of fine particles accumulate, it seems they act as a cushion to the remaining coarse particles, thus slowing down the grinding action. One thing is for sure, gold mining certainly inspires innovation as seen by the multitudes of recovery equipment that has been fabricated over the years.
Living in Australia. I've seen vibrating and rotating ball mills in various mines and industrial uses. The stationary ones are usually used for bulk sampling where you put x amount of material in and expect to get the same out. Shavings from the balls or rods are always a problem in the analysis.
...yeah!...vibration intrigues me, also...but periodic bumps, every thirty seconds might reduce that pebbling...anyway...
Jason IS about Jason, he never responds. It's ALL about Jason, good videos though !!
I’m new to this and I have no idea what any of that I just read means but it sounds like you know what you’re talking about and being helpful so that’s cool.

Lol merry to !!! How was that flat gold pan !! Sweet 🎉
Use varying size balls in your mill so the smaller ones grind in the spaces between the bigger ones. I made a small mill from a cement mixer using balls from 1/2" up to about 2" and always got good powder.
That is a good advice !!!!!! A almost a oldtimer 😂
Over time, any ball mill will have a natural mix of sizes as you are occasionally charging the mill with new balls to keep up the volume that is rolling.
lolz- I wish! But thanks! :)
Good answer...I was thinking the same....mixed ball sizes
Jason and Dan = Legends!!!!
You make this look as hard and as much a pain as it really is... and I thank you for that. Some videos make me go... that looks fun.. yours shows how much work it is.
Wow! That wasn't a button of gold. It was a pool of gold. Man oh man, 66g is one heck of a haul. Another great video. Glad you didn't fall down the mountain. I got dizzy just seeing the drop. You're a brave man, Jason.
For all the times you exhausted yourself in this video, the joy of seeing your face light up at covering your costs was wonderful. I'm happy for you - but also REALLY enjoy your content and collaborations. Blessings to you and your family.
Always wondered what happened to the helicopter gold.
You have become my favorite gold pioneer to watch. Great show
The similarities between prospecting and mushroom picking always makes me chuckle. It can be hard to choose when you see both mushrooms and prospects. I laugh when i see Jason grunting under a heavy pack, i so understand that burden.
At 69 im still doing it and I can tell Jason will be still doing this for years to come. Thank you Jason
I mostly metal detect for gold but your videos lately make me want to go up the mountains a bit further to search out where all the easy gold I find, came from. It’s a notable area and the mineralogy reports are all there with assays, but gosh that’s a ton of work. A literal ton! One of these days…
Thanks for the inspiration and knowledge you share in your videos. 💪
Many thousands of tons of work 😂
Its neat that because of his training and experience, he always is tracking exactly how many tons he is moving and what he gets out of each batch. He's always talking about how he decides how much time to spend on what and monitoring if it was worth it or not.
😂🤣😂@@jchrizzy6995
Awesome, Jason! Given time and manpower, the number of trips up there, the machine usage, etc I'm not sure you broke even overall, but the first time is always the hardest. Refining techniques and learning what works and doesn't is the profit-seeking game. A likely follow-up should probably be taking up a group of five or so with all the gear needed and getting the big bags prepped in the same trip. Might be worth camping overnight for a two day work process. Looking into a cargo helo with a greater lift capacity will help as well since their per/hour rate should be proportionally lower compared to the mass they can haul down each trip, making either for fewer trips and less operational hours or same number of trips with more mass removed as an offset.
66.5?!?!?!? MONUMENTAL, Jason!! 😮🎉 And your face lit up like never before! That is an incredible result in just the gold beads (they looked like 99% pure = 22k)! Not to mention what those slabs will bring. I figure the large piece with the most gold showing will bring in at least $5,000! What an incredible adventure to share with us! Blessings from Alabama ❤️
The only good part about the end of the day hike is the gravity assist, and hopefully the excitement of not knowing if you hit the good stuff! Thanks for showing the fun Jason!
Love these MBMMLLC weekend videos
Dude , you're a golden videomaker, keep the content going we love it
Incredible…. So happy for your results after all of that hard work. I’ll be watching this series numerous times.
Wow, great conclusion to all that work !!
Thanks for taking us along Jason !!
Always happy to see you Dan and Jeff do your thing. Congrats on the claim. All the best, Wallace.
Black bears aren't particularly deadly - I've had quite a few run-ins in the Sierras & Trinity Alps in California and they can usually be scared off. Most bear deaths are brown bears aka grizzlies, which you won't find in the north cascades (yet! There's a plan to reintroduce, so keep track of that because bear-spray and/or a firearm may become necessary in coming years).
I'm going to advocate (again) for better clothing for the high-country. You could easily end up in a dangerous situation with all that cotton work-clothes. Synthetics are your friends at elevation & really a worthwhile investment.
Really enjoy your content Jason!
Great job getting everything together in one video and the finished gold , great color on that button 👍
That is incredible that there is that much gold in just the float! I really look forward to seeing what else you’re able to accomplish with that vein!
Good times, hard rock ore sampling in remote places. It's that gold fever pushing you to the extreme! Great work Jason!
Woohoo Jason, that was fantastic, 2 years in the making paid off. Very enjoyable video, loved your reaction and all your hard work. Keep it up buddy, thanks!
Infrickincredible Jason! Tons-o-work for a few ounces-o-gold. I thoroughly enjoy each journey you've taken me on. ♥
Hello Jason,
Just wanted to say your mining videos are among the very best i have seen on TH-cam and the Glacier exploration was beautiful as well as exciting. As an old contractor it was nice watching a competent boss and two solid journeymen working together so efficiantly. Great job!
Congratulations Jason! Glad all the hard work paid off.
Now get the Dave Sparks to do a collab with you and split the gold 👍😎 Great video.. He has a huey helicopter
Jason, I am glad that you started posting and glad I found your page. Great videos. If you read this, just, “Thanks man, thanks”.
I appreciate that!
Niceuh!! Seeing the whole adventure from start to finish with all the steps involved is amazing! Good job Jason! 😘😀
Congratulations Jason. I had that button pegged at 1.5 oz max. Nobody else is doing stuff like this.
Thank you for spending the time editing to show the full process of prospecting this claim. 2 years is a dedication!
I appreciate your hard work in bringing all this great info into ONE video, 2 years in the making 👏👏
Epic video Jason! Glad all that work and effort paid off. That gold button must of been so exciting to see, especially after the weigh out. Take care till the next one.
Cant wait to see your whole week processing all the material from your mine! TIME TO PUT YOUR SHACKER TABLES AND SMELTING TO WORK!
Another fantastic video Jason, I enjoyed seeing you and Dan working together once again up high in the mountains.
A video of Jason taking bags for a walk made me laugh as hell!!
Loads of hard work is what i see and thats without all the hiking.... Stay healthy and dont go out there alone...
Congrats on enjoying that epic adventure and thanks for bringing us along. Well done! Congrats on getting your mine going. We really look forward to watching your progress in there!!
...all that fun AND you made a profit..terrific!
What a saga and a great ending! I'd love to see more but then I've been watching your work in your new mine so I imagine that will be taking 99% of your gold hunting time. Whatever, you put out great material and I look forward to seeing your videos every week, keep on truckin'!
Jason I love watching your videos and Dan Hurd is awesome too
It was great seeing you take your pet wild caught rocks for a walk. Great job collecting a bulk sample from the helicopter mine. God bless
Hey Jason , that was a hard trek up the side of a mountain, but the quarts look good!! hope to see a nice gold brick!!
Awesome! Congrats on the haul and it was fun to see you along the whole way--been watching since long before you started all the collabs and your channel took off. :)
That might be two years in the making but your numbers are so close to what you expected.. That was so cool to watch. I learnt so much. When you saw the total weight so made me smile. Thanks Jason.
Woo hoo!!
my foot was in FIRST
OH YEAH! So glad to see this come together for you Jason. Tons of hard work, lots of smarts and good guessing. Thank you for sharing the adventure!
So with your ball-shaker-mill it's actually quite interesting and you see a similar issue in large-scale operations. From my experience after the ball mill (just uses balls to crush rock), they screen the crush and run the oversize through a SAG mill (Semi-Autogenous-Grinding uses the rock itself plus balls to break up the rock) which ends up being more cost-effective than rerunning the material through the ball mill again. So basically you got left with that first stage after 30 minutes, pretty cool!
You work so hard for our entertainment! Jason, thank you!
You know what I love the most is to see dan hurd and cerdo Gordo guy and yourself hanging out together and making great quality content I feel like we have known each other from a past life thank you for sharing lots of love.
Congratulations Jason .
Well done 👍
Jason your adventures now compulsive viewing for me. Extremely informative, scientifically based ( smelting with comolications😂 occasionally) and well entertaining. Thanks
Thank you for combining all these segments together. So much better to enjoy this way. Please try do more like this. It's probably more work for you, but in a better production. IMHO Love your channel.
Well done. So glad it was positive and not a loss!
Jason, this was insane!!! 😮 Congrats on doing better than just breaking even on this venture 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love the stitching of all the videos together for the final payout! Well done!
Thanks for sharing the adventure Jason. Cheers
Wonderful content and so well explained! Really looking forward to your next installments!
Thanks Jason, this is a terrific summary of your surface mining. It’s too bad that there isn’t an off-road vehicle that could recover the samples without having to resort to helicopters.
Hopefully your underground mine opportunities will be just as fruitful.
Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace brother
Hi Jason. Great episode. Funny, you are realizing you can't see very well close up as you once did. Get some 1.25 reader glasses to start. Take them everywhere with you. Carry your loupe too. Sucks getting old. Good luck.
Collect top to bottom, either zigzag “ore” stay wide on each side. I love your channel! You explain the processes very clearly. I love that you aren’t afraid to make mistakes “ore” just be silly and you’re able to laugh at your”shelf”!
Also, I need a job and would love to dig all day! If you or Dan Hurd (love him) need a hand, I’m free, live in Vancouver, WA, and have a right hand drive Toyota Hiace, full time 4WD, I’m happy to live out of. Thanks again for what you do!

ThankQ Jason for the gold prospecting adventure and education. I hope you find the mother lode, my friend, actually, I hope you and Dan Hurd, who's the nicest gold prospector on TH-cam, both find your own personal mother lodes. ❤😊
I watched it all the second time through and enjoyed it completely. Nice haul. I hope you find a bit more in the tailings and a cheaper way to get the ore off the mountain
JASON !! Well Done. Seeing the Hard Rock process from 'there's the vein'
to 'wow look at the gold button' is/was an eye opener.
If I didn't know better I'd say that mining is a lot of actual work..............
Has it really been 2 years ! ? ! ? Since the sample was hauled out ? Jeeezzzz
And that "Platinum Blonde" in your whiskers says a bit as well.......
A good friend told Me "Gettin' Old Ain't fer Sissies".
Such an amazing video!! Been waiting forever to see these results lol. Great job man!
So awesome Jason! Love your entire approach. Beautiful and thorough work.
Thanks Jason, an epic adventure with an epic payoff, well done!👍
Jason, when I first found your chanel (2020 and covid binge watching) it was a video in your shop where you were grinding some rock and then running it through a wash table of sorts and then smelting it into triangle mold, breaking out the top and melting it in a cupel. It wasn’t until a
Few years later (last week but still binge watching) I realize not only is Jason is jason a s smart guy, hes AMAZING!!! He not only can figure out how to do the chemistry of all the smelting, melting, and such, but he built all his rock crushers and his shaker tables too. Thats pretty pretty. amazing!
"As long as I don't fall off it should be fine". Great quote. "Well, don't hit your hand it hurts" was another one. Thanks for the exploration and prospecting!
What an amazing journey this has been. Jason, do you plan on working this site anymore given the results? Is it worth it economically to do more helicopter loads out?
Man, I would love to go hike to a vein with you! I learn a lot just from the videos! This was an awesome adventure!
Thx for the journey in time.
So much work, but so rewarding! That was awesome Jason!
Would it be worth putting a few of those specimen rock samples in a hydraulic press to break them down in a more controlled fashion, to give you more chance to find a specimen? Or decomposing the rock chemically?
Yes, or perhaps use some acid to dissolve the quartz?
Boy! Finally got to see the results of the adventure. Thank you , sir, most excellent.
This is why I subscribe this guy really broke it down so we can understand basically what we need to do folks
Really enjoyed the "epic" vid man... really .
You nailed it dude!!
Thank you so much for letting us see your journey bro!!!
Been waiting for this Jas. What a great result and an awesome mash up of the whole series. Well done. So entertaining.
Collaboration of the year.. you (Jason) and professor Jeff Williams!
Great video! Thank you for sharing the entire process of refining gold from quartz vein ore. Extremely informative and entertaining.
The ingenuity of this shaker table blows my mind every time! 👍😁 44:50
Hey there,
after watching your last video, I've done some reading on stemming.
First of, all material on this topic seems to be about industrial blasting with vertical blast holes using ANFO. So for you using a different explosive in horizontal blast holes the actual numbers might differ, also the numbers found in papers are not consistent.
Generally stemming is about the part of the blast hole that isn't filled with explosives.
The amount of burden you can move with a blast directly depends on the depth of the stemming.
The burden is the distance between the blast hole and the face of the blast or in our case also the horizontal distance between the blast holes.
Without additional mechanical stemming (plugging up the hole) the stemming is supposed to be equal to the burden. With effective mechanical stemming the ratio can be improved to the stemming only needing to be 0.7 times the burden.
So using effective mechanical stemming should allow you to set your blast holes up to 1.5 times further apart.
Still you'd have to figure out yourself what the actual optimum for your explosive and your burden is. I might well be worth it, as it will not only safe you explosives but also a might reduce the time needed to prepare a blast by 30%.
If your lucky you might even get some numbers for your explosives from the manufacturer.
Anyway the most important part is that there is no use wasting time on not effective stemming and the papers are pretty cleared about there being only one efficient material for stemming,
Which will be revealed in the next comment xD.

Love the content Jason I've been telling everyone about your channel. Glad you made back what you needed plus
That video was a long time coming! Awesome video! Thanks!
You're crazy! That makes at least two of us in the club ;-)
Seriously - thanks for logging and sharing this interesting endeavour.
Congratulations on your haul. Very educational and a pleasure to watch. Fun seeing Dan Hurd also.
Jason--you gave excellent pointers / lessons for a new prospector. Thank you.
First time watching, how exciting! I've watched Terry Cayer for years on treasure hunting. Congratulations on your find. 😊❤🎉
Well that was the nicest gold button....and a little more than thought. Congratulations and thanks for sharing with us all of the hard work. Great show. CHEERS
Congratulations dude. That was epic. Now you and mine operator can build a Shute to slide the ore down like in the tunnel mine. Great job.
Perty cool there Jason. And you have more to process. Interesting stuff. Thanks for a great video .
Jason , I,m only a retired sanitation worker that has been watching you for some time , and all the hard work you have done. You dont know how much i want you to hit it rich and become a millionair. good luck.
Jason, that was awesome. No one has done anything like that for years..
I'm gonna give you a 100 percent on this video Very well done my friend..
This shows at least half what the old timers had to do to make any money.
If you ever get close to Medford Oregon? I will personally take you out for a 15 oz steak for lunch or dinner..
When I was working in the gold mines in Nevada. I traveled to Colorado and visited the Phoenix mine.. And the guy that mined that veina of gold took me out for Dinner just being another brother. In the gold mine industry.
Nice job Jason!!!And came in above your costs, really great.
The best adventure channel on TH-cam!
That was so fun. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video Jason. I watched the previous ones that you linked in. Turned out great. ✌️😎
Love your adventures, Jason. Great content!
Being able to see it from collection to final product was Incredible. Very excited for you.
