I love how u did this and I was wondering how well it does if u have tried it and also if I would do the same upgrade would it be better to upgrade my piston aswell and could u also send me the links for the parts if u can
You could upgrade the piston if you want but the stock piston can handle a lot of rpm and usually aren’t a problem until you start making crazy power and yes I’ve ran it for about 5 months with the added parts and it runs amazing with just a few adjustments with the carb it ran way faster and aggressive add me on snap for the links (yee_boyscoot08)
Did you have to trim a little off the crack for clearance? In many other video they say you need to for the hemi 212 engines. Was thinking about rebuilding mine
I have a predator 212 hemi with a stage two kit 22 pound valve springs and it starts up nice runs great but makes a loud clicking noise by the valves but if it pull start it with ignition off it makes no clicks or knocks inside the engine
@@559Minibike_AV sick also this was my first time building a predator engine and I don’t know if that’s just how hemis are but my stock piston was flat topped😂
Every minibike or go kart engine with a non hemi head should have Champion rockers even if the rest of the engine is stock. You just have to make sure there is clearance with the stock rocker cover. I use play dough packed onto the baffle looking for clearance. Some guys just get a taller rocker cover or a spacer to make it easy. These rockers was the very first thing I ordered (From Vegas karts) for both of my builds. Worth every penny compared to the power robbing stock rockers. The only time to use stock style rockers is if you plan to use ratio rockers.

VALVE LASH .003 not .030 sorry guys my bad
Caught that too... he did show .003 feeler gauge. Gotta pay attention to every detail 🎉
Shame on you lol jk

Its really awesome seeing that you can do this in your garage with limited knowledge and limited tools. great video.
Thank you just TH-cam and tools and 😂❤️
excellent video !!its great to see young men doing the same types of work i did when i was that age , keep up the great work !!
me too, since I was 11 in the late 1960's 😁
Awesome video very informative professional To the point . Very bright Young Mechanics
I got that same 24v kobalt impact. I love mine. I got the set with all the other tools that come with it. Couldn’t be happier.
Yeah works very well
I like how you guys say what to do though out the video that’s very good bro
Thanks appreciate it🔥

thank you man. i was able to do this all thanks to your video

Probably either valve lash or electrical issue with ignition
This video was great until the 15 minute mark when you GREW A THIRD ARM!!!! Great video dude. It will be on during my rebuild I’m sure.
Love it man😂❤️
I’m gonna de this exact same build for my next engine but I might go with some champion rockers
Yeah that will be sick I noticed a lot more torque and high end power after this build👊🏼❤️

What's a crankshaft stopper? How do I make it?

Why didn't you ported the head? It would make more horsepower
Big vid coming soon!
Personally I wouldn’t have lubed your rod bolts with oil. I would have gone with some red/orange thread lock due to vibration and high rpm
Did you not have to clearance the crank for the cam?
@@Channel2Reaper I got lucky and didn’t have to but it varies with each engine and more so if you get a bigger cam
Recently my 196cc engine blew I’m trying to engine swap would you recommend a predator 212 with the same mods ?
Yeah it runs amazing with a few carb adjustments I’ve done 61 with this motor and the gearing I have and it’s really aggressive!
you were saying to use the .03 feeler gauge but actually showed the .003 and .004 which would be 3 and 4 thousandths not 30 and 40.
Ik my bad I made a typo
Good video. However I will only say that the torque of the billet flywheel should be 65 Ft/Lbs.
Ok thank you!

bro amazing video, as a recommendation you should try to talk a little to speak loudly and with more enthusiasm
Thank you bro
Do you hv to grind down the ears on the crankshaft?
I thought I would have to because with the hemis a lot of time you have to grind the crank but I got lucky and had no clearance issues

Buy a 5 gallon oil jug and when it fills up you can take it to an auto shop like advance and they will take it

How did you get you head cover polished like that that what tool did you use ?
How long did the whole process take?
If I didn’t have to set up the camera and film it all it would took probably 3-4 hours
But including filming the whole build took me like a day and a half😭

So what’s considered stage 3?
I’m not sure actually I think just a bigger head like ported and polished head
