Several times a week hahahaa
Funny you mentioned "many bodies can fit in the trunk" I remember as a kid, my dad and a neighbor used to compare whose car could hold more bodies in the trunk. Ty for a funny memory 😁.
I love the Cadillac Fleetwood especially with that beautiful blue leather interior. What a dream cruising on the open road in that thing.
I had a huge Ford LTD as a provided company car many years ago. That ride was smooth too.
I noticed those super expensive Caddy tires; they have that gold ring next to the whitewall. I have my mom's much smaller 1988 Sedan deVille with 97k miles; the car is metallic maroon color with gorgeous deep red/wine colored leather interior. When you open the back doors at night the interior lights illuminate all of that lush cushiony leather, like something borrowed from an English country club. In the new cars, all the leather is beige or grey. Those oldies were special cars! Mine drives well. Thanks, mom. --Old Guy
Older Rav4s aren't ugly like the newer ones!
The Cadilac Fleetwood is a beautiful classic but the Toyota is a great daily driver. The owner of these cars has his priorities straight 👍
I don't care how much gas it drinks, that Caddy is for cruising on the weekends!
@@oreally8605 Or road trips. That thing probably idles at 80 mph and still gets 25 mpg.
I bet if carmakers would have made real big cars, people would not have abandoned them.
The the last big cars were too compact for americans, like the last tiny Buick lesabre ,Toyota Avalon, Chrysler 300 .
Large sedans buyers now go now for midsized Suvs or full-size trucks. instead. (Full-size SUVs are too ridiculously priced)
good ole land yachts.....70s, 80s....those were the days.
@@Mr-Clarkit probably gets 21 at best
Cadillac were a pillow ride made easy work of long drives and quiet also.
I always used the term “it’s like riding on a marshmallow”. l love these old Boats!
5:12 damn, never seen so many people with Scotty in the same shot.
Oh look. It’s the old RAV4 with the tire on the back! 👀
Sorry, I want the caddy. That front seat brings back memories. You see, with no buckets, your girlfriend would slide right over and sit right next to you. Now with that center console, that is a no go. I'm an old man now and want that cushy boat ride. If that caddy hits that Rav 4, what will be left? Physics tells me, more mass will crush that Toyota. Give me the caddy any day. Bet if you roll down the window, the wind will not vibrate your ears to death either. I miss those days of hanging the arm out the window. Now, folks ride around with the windows up wearing a mask. Yea, it is a different time for sure.
I thought for a minute you were filming a Martin Scorsese movie when you were driving those wise guys around in that Cadillac.
WOW amazing TY so much ,,Keep up the great work
Good era comparison Scotty. You really nailed it.
I had a 2007 RAV-4. I loved it until the issue with burning oil took it to a point where I was adding a quart a week and then I sold it. Now I have no confidence in buying another Toyota - ever!
If it was another brand besides Toyota, it would make the top 3 worse vehicles ever made 😂
06-09 Toyota 2.4L 2AZfe
Good, more Toyotas for me to buy
@@Andriig75 You people are ridiculous.....Toyotas had several issues....and since 2020 the quality has gone down more. Even Scotty has said it
@@GF-mf7mland Corollas, and Camrys, and scions.....I've seen other issues too. And their quality has gone down since 2020
My first car was a 75 Buick Electra…like floating a yacht down the highway. The 455 sucked gas like it was hooked to a refinery, but in the late 80s a $20 bill would fill the tank. That car was long, heavy, and floated down the road so smooth…nothing made today rides like it.
My late grandmother had a Buick Regal Century. It had an 8 cylinder engine and was pretty large. It had pretty comfy seating and great AC. It was also heavy, but it had a very smooth ride. Cars manufactured back in those days were built like tanks.
Watched this video in my 2013 Volvo C70 convertible. We do have an SUV in the family but you don’t really need more than one. I always thought a large practical vehicle and a small fun to drive would be the perfect combination.
I had a 73 Eldorado nice smooth ride never got stuck in snow for about 6 years but it was a big money 💰 pit
I would love one as a first car no electronics and would be able to learn a lot with simple fixes
And we wonder why there are always Scotty death rumors
Because he starts them all. When he finally kicks off 30 years ago nobody will believe him
Ive had a couple early 90s devilles, v8 front wheel drive.. loved them. Never had an issue...but i love that fleetwood too
Scotty: everything is over. It's done. I'll just go die somewhere alone.
Video starts...
Scotty: REV YOUR ENGINES!!!
Rev UP your engines!
I own a 94 Fleetwood Brougham. It has the LT1. It makes plenty of power and has an incredibly smooth ride. I feel refreshed after a 6 hour drive whereas 3 hours in anything new makes me feel tired and sore.
My Cadillac also gets 28 MPG on the highway and I turn my own wrenches on it. It has over 300k on it and is still reliable enough to take on long trips.
“He wanted to speed so he got a v6” made me chuckle.
I detailed a 85 cutlass supreme the other day. I miss how simple car interior used to be.
Envious of Scotty's success! Best car channel on TH-cam.
Love those smooth riding cadillacs. Why did they stop making smooth riding vehicles? My parents had a 91 Fleetwood and it rode like a dream. Big comfy seats and thick shag carpeting.
Sold Toyotas in 1975-76, the Celica GT made Motor Trend magazine's 'import car of the year'. The FJ's were a blast and very reliable, made in Japan, like every Toyota, but they continued making FJ's in Japan. As a result of that experience, my family have driven nine Toyotas and loved them. I'm a winning lottery ticket away from buying a body-off restored FJ 40. Based on my experience, just about every Toyota owner loves their vehicle the exception being those who do not understand or practice routine vehicle maintenance. Toyota and Honda outsell all others for good reason.
A good example of what Cadillac was designed from is the move license to drive. The driving test scene exaggerates the problems back in that time.
I'm going to sell my 2015 Kia Sorrento AWD, it's been good no issues at all. Just very minor preventive maintenance, I'm looking at the RAV4 and the Accura RDX, what do you suggest?
I love that Cadillac favorite Scotty video I’m used to him hating on cool cars😭
Before stopping doing this, could you say something about the Ford Excursion, especially the 7.3 liter diesel one. Is it as good and reliable as people say?
The last CAR I had was an 83 Caddy Sedan for 20 years I've had my Sequoia for 20 years since then.
Love it. They really don't make seats as comfortable as they did in the old days. Would love to see you do a video review of the new Ford Mustang GT.
You know Scotty is a rock star in spirit because of how often he announces his final farewell.
Hey Scotty I love your content and videos and youre an awesome guy, I love watching.
Had a quick question/ need your opinion on buying a 2019 Honda Civic with 91k miles? Im really stuck and youre the first person Im coming to 😂 is 90k in 5 years enough to make me turn around and run the opposite direction from this Honda? Lol thank you sir!!
That this point, Mr. Scotty is the thumbnail champ.

Scotty, I’m looking to trade in my 2019 Toyota 4Runner for a Tesla. Which model do you recommend?
RIP
when scotty reviews your car, he also blesses it with his holy spit.
I also have a 2009 RAV4 V6 four-wheel-drive and I love the car
Still alive and kicking 😂 , 💯true analysis about all cars , love your show Scotty.
Mr Kilmer, would you or could you please elaborate on performance chips ? Are they for real, are they any good, do they actually work ?
Scotty you are so right and I like 👍 the both of them you have a good day 😮
I own a V6 Rav4 in Australia. Car is like a rocket with it's power-to-weight ratio.
I had the same RAV4, 2011 with V6 here in South Central Texas. That car was BRUTALLY FAST! From a roll & in the midrange it was scary (but it sure as hell put that ear to ear “horsepower grin” on your face!). Broke my heart when a Texas hailstorm
(golf ball/tennis ball size) DESTROYED my grocery wagon sleeper…😢
What year rav 4 is it ? For research
I love my 1990 Fleetwood. I got the FWD and its not too bad
😎 Look at that big hunk of chrome on the bottom of that caddy...
That FM Transmitter though... 😂😂😂 Bro those work but always had problems. I switched to something else to keep the default looj of the car...
You been sniffing to many exhaust fumes
What do pushrods have to do with power? Top fuel has 11,000 horsepower with pushrods.
I had a 2011 RAV4 Limited with the 3.5L V6.
That little SUV didn’t lack for power. I got 21mpg city and 28mpg on the highway with the cruise set on 75mph.
I now own a 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs.
It’s basically a Limited with the TRD Off Road pkg.
And yes it has the 3.5L V6.
It had 278 horsepower, but after some basic mods and an Overland Torque Tune, it pumping out 318 horsepower and I’m getting better fuel economy.
My grandmother had one of these Fleetwoods and it was a pleasure to drive. You felt like you were in a floating tank.
I have a Venza; it is on,y AWD when needed.
These slightly newer, early-2010's Toyota RAV4's with the 3.5 L V6 engine, which produces 269 horsepower and the five-speed automatic transmission are the best compact 4WD SUV's in the used vehicular market.
Noppee...I'd buy a Honda over a Toyota.
@@richsweeney1115I'd buy a Mercedes over both. Honda & Toyota are cheap. And you can tell.

that caddy is beautiful. i'd buy it in a heartbeat except i live in uk and i'm not cliff richard.
Scotty, I have a question: Cummins or Hemmi, which one would you go with in a truck?
(obviously NOT Scotty)...
I have a 2006 Magnum R/T (Made In Canada [NOT Mexico, which had QC issues]) with the original 5.7 HEMI. I bought the car to bring it out of the edge of being scrapped and also learn how to do most repairs (the engine ans transmission work very well, everytbing else needex replacing). I rebuilt the interior to mostly bare metal.
Now knowing the Magnum R/T thoroughly (and converting it into more of a Frankenstein of a vehicle [which was planned]), I did A LOT of research on both the HEMI and Cummins.
One caveat with the HEMI is that it should not be kept idling, as it has a deficiency in its interior that cannot be corrected, said deficiency being that the camshaft is not lubricated properly at idle, and prolonged idling (and lack of lubrication) can ultimately result in camshaft damage. (The design flaw is quite involved, so I will not detail it here [websites such as chargerforums and other such have old postings describing the flaw).
The other caveat is that the HEMI is a discontinued engine, the 5.7, 6.1, and 6.4 still available as new 'crate engines' for what I presume will be the end of the stock at hand (Dodge now owned by a foreign company).
In contrast, a Cummins does NOT have the deficiencies embodied in the HEMI. A Turbo Diesel that impressed me was originally from a 1993 RAM pick-up (if I recall correctly). If I were to build a Hot Rod or Rat Rod, I would go with a Turbo Diesel (building the chassis on a vehicle pre-emissions era to avoid having to pass emissions...to then be allowed to register the vehicle...ugh).
A Cummins, by design, also has forged internals, so it can take miles with ease...without the need for a rebuild (most HEMIs cannot go past 250k without it asking for a rebuild...nevermind changing the timing-chain [and other related components] at least once...WELL BEFORE 250k [120k?]).
Some Cummings see 1 Million Miles (an impossibility with a HEMI-I have not seen one go past 300k).
HEMIs are also expensive when it comes to repair work...minus the benefits of a Cummins.
HEMIs may prove a lot of fun, but you also roll the dice (of repairs) a lot more than with a Cummins.
In the end, it depends on what you intend to do.
I prefer reliability over quick mass-market engines that Stelantis (Dodge) declared dead end of last year.
I do not have a garage at the moment, so building/modding a 2nd car may never occur, but I enjoyed the ABSURDLY LABORIOUS path I ventured to learn everything about the HEMI (and the NAG1 Transmission) in my old Magnum R/T.
(The LS engines from GM are an alternative to the HEMI, but it is no Turbo Diesel).
Best regards.
love the Cadillac
I had a frint whee drive vehicle years ago (not a Cadillac) and the CV joints went bad. I heard that front wheel drives aren't good. Anyone know about that?
I abhor 'torque steering' in front-wheel drive vehicles (when punching the gas, the vehicle wants to pull to either the right or the left). Ugh. (I drive an old Magnum R/T [rear-wheel drive]).
The Cadillac comes with Robert Duvall in the back seat.
As far as seating goes, there is a great deal in common between the modern SUV and the cars of the forties and. fifties.
I have had my 2006 RAV4 since 2014. Everything Scotty said is true.
That thumbnail scared me for a sec
Why are you in Tennessee Scotty? We need you back on the East Coast. 😊
Is that Cadillac Fleetwood for sale? I'm very interested in buying it. I'm a very big Cadillac enthusiasts. I've had Cadillacs ever since I was 18. It was my first car. I've owned Cadillacs ever since.
Where can you find one of those Olde Fleetwoods in such good shape? ☺️
The Cad please 😃👍.
My boss had a Fleetwood for couple of years but trade it for a camry during the Covid19 because of higher gas prices
How do I buy that fleetwood
Did you work for a perpetually going out of business mattress outlet?
He got us again
Can you do meet and greets Scotty
NO WAY that beautiful '93 Caddy can only do 0 to 60 in 12 seconds! I'd bet closer to the 10 second range, or less with a "neutral drop"....
I definitely would not miss his rant
Imagine how many could fit in the trunk driving up to rest in the Poconos?
I regret not buying a nearly new 1970 or 1971 Dodge Challenger 426 hemi with dual quads, and keeping it "pickled" indoors. Immaculate, rare survivor cars could fund your retirement. Select models command over $1 mil!
Okay Scotty, see you Thursday.
OMG I can’t believe it… RIP Scotty, my condolences to the Kilmer family, gone way too soon. I wonder if he was sick? So sad 😢
Wrong about Front Heel Drive, try a 60's-70's Toronados
Here we go with Scotty, folks!
Don't agree about the spare wheelon the door though, it'sok untilyouhave a flat, then it's astruggle to get the wheel out, the lid gets scratched easily and it's a pain to lift up the usually dirty wet wheel when you have changed it, also the side hinged door is a realpain if you tow anything as you can't open it when the tow ball is on and in carparks the door opens in the way of everybody passing. Not a good design , presumably why they changed it on later models.
Make and model…of your sunglasses lol they’re cool
"Other things could be done in the back seats" LOL old times.
So funny seeing the ol guy in the backseat 🤣
Rip battery?
Rather have the caddy with 5 than squashing 5 into a toyota.
RIP Scotty Kilmer
The guy in the back filming the guy up front filming 😂😂
Beautiful Cadillac. We used to have a '77 DeVille Sedan d'Elegance with the 425. I still dream about that.
I never liked the seats in old Cadillacs or other GM brands. They seem comfortable, but they had no support. An hour into the ride and you’d be in back pain.
Is Scotty from Jersey?
