IL Dairy Farmer my favorite story concerning cows and ranch wives. The ranch next us... the cows got loose and the wife was trailing them on foot when they turned and started chase her. She was hollering for her husband to rope them. He in turn told her to run faster. They were so cute together.

Cornfields, woods, cattle, and trucks. Basically what it looks like around the Kingsville near me. Nearest cattle auction as well. Never been to Texas myself in all honesty.
Any time an old rancher asks you to hold the gate so he can move cows through it, he’s gonna ask what the count was. Heads up
