  • In this video I show you how I lined the tub in marine carpet and fitted a 1350mm full extension fridge slide, ARB 60lt fridge,12v Lithium set up , 2000W Inverter, pull out Drifta kitchen and my favorite addition the wine rack!
    I picked up my new 2021 Dmax X-Terrain in November 2020 and in Ep01video I went thru my wishlist of accessories, upgrades and what I have planned for the build. I am a solo traveler and my goal is to build a reliable and strong tourer that is capable off-road.

    • @travelsolo2677
      @travelsolo2677  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 17mm marine ply on the floor and 12mm for the rest. As in the video I drilled 8mm holes thru the tub floor to attach the 1350mm Dunn & Watson fridge slide and 17mm ply using 316SS bolts and nylon nuts. Paint all holes to protect paint from rust. I flitted M6 rivnuts to the top of tub where it folds over to secure side walls. On the bottom, on 17mm ply I fitted brackets to secure bottom of 12mm ply side walls using M8 bolts. The back wall I fitted my dual ARB compressor and 1800W Victron Inverter. I have a 150AH Lithium battery installed in tub that everything runs off. I ran a 8mm dual cable from starter battery thru a hole I drilled in tub floor, which I protected with paint and a grommet before sealing with silicone. In hindsight I have since found out I could have come up thru the taillight area. This cable is fused at the starting battery by 50A fuse.I have fitted a D seal around the tailgate that I bought from Clarke Rubber, they have rolls of various profiles. This stops 98% of dust and water coming into tub…… hope this helps you. Checkout my other video I did that explains the tub build
