Another great and very helpful video. Thank you James! I was falling into the "start at the beginning" thing lately without really even noticing/thinking about it. Underrated channel for sure and looking forward to more videos and checking out that PDF.
Now I want to write an episode for Honest Joe's Garage, where the day starts with the shop still shuttered, and Joe has to let Ryan into the shop while keeping the angry throng that's been waiting for hours outside. Side note, at least in the US, anything with the word "Honest" in front of it is viewed with a lot of suspicion, as a lot of shysters and scammers use the Honest word to clothe themselves in the appearance of not being a scammer. Joe may indeed be honest, but I doubt his patrons will view him as such.
Hey, there's a guy here on TH-cam who is telling people that it's impossible for writers to get a show on TV unless they are freemasons - is this true?

Thank you! It's our instinct to start at the beginning - even if you're experienced. And we must fight the instinct! Start in the Middle!

Really helpful!
Great. Thank you!
Thanks for the encouragement!
I can't believe this has so few views. (Though I guess there aren't many sitcom writers our there.)
