IT ENDS WITH US, based on the global phenomenon by Colleen Hoover, tells the empowering story of Lily Bloom (Blake Lively). Grappling with a painful past, Lily embarks on a new life in Boston, embraces her artistry, and passionately pursues her dream of opening her own flower shop. A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni) sparks an intense connection, but as the two fall deeply in love, Lily begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her dangerous father. With the support of her friends and allies, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar) and Allysa Kincaid (Jenny Slate), Lily must find her own strength to break the pattern or the pattern will break her.

This was such a powerful story. I think it's easy to get caught up in all of the controversy and drama, and by doing so it weakens the importance of what this film is all about. There are times when one needs to separate the art from the artist. While I can understand some of the frustration behind Blake's promotion, keep in mind she helped set the film into motion by producing it. I'm not condoning all of her actions, but that's significant to keep in mind. Baldoni did an incredible job directing and acting, and I'm so glad he's helping spread awareness.

I saw the movie four times in the theater and went with a different group of friends each time. This movie never gets old. They did the book and story justice.
I miss the days when trailers gave you an idea of what the movie was about so you could decide if you were interested in the subject matter rather than random clips that tell you little to nothing.

Saw this film with my mom, I personally didn't like it, she did and many people did so its just a matter of taste.
The first half felt like a Hallmark movie and more on the fantasy, unrealistic side. The second half was better. I just couldn't see the chemistry between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. It lacked depth, perhaps needed some adjustments. But if the film was faithful to the book then, the book was the problem.
Nonetheless, Blake's and Justin's acting was great. They're both excellent actors just think the story needed to be more cohesive. Would've been better as a 2 part film.
On the bright side I think the scenes of abuse were respectfully depicted. Kudos for that.

This movie is a lesson for men. Run away from a girl with too many bf in her past, the abusive relationship she had in the past and her messed up relationship with her father. Those women have red flags and as a man do not date them and run away from them. Thank me later.
