I certainly agree with you on the low and slow improvements in 2024. The scenery is absolutely outstanding, when they fix the lighting engine (in the last dev stream for 2024 Jorg said they were working on it) it will be perfect. I fly a lot in group flights and we have a mix of rotary wing and fixed wing so navigating a fixed and twisty turny flight path is normal. Unfortunately the EFB (particularly in VR) is not as useful as it could be. Navigation for GA flights could use some upgrading. You should try flying GA aircraft in VR in 2024 you would have difficulty going back to 2d flying. Anyway great video once again thanks AV
I can't use VR because it's not practical for my methods of recording and content creation... can't read notes, see my software or in general flying, see my ipad or other tech.
Talking about the sensation of being close to the ground in 2024, it is even more so in VR. If you haven’t tried it, and ever get the chance to, I recommend it. The sim goes from “I’m in a flight sim, watching it on a screen” to “I’m in an airplane, watching the ground whiz by outside the window.” Also, that area you were in looked familiar, and then I realized why. When I was last flying in that part of the world, mostly in the G-111 albatross variant, I stopped at Friday Harbor. While I was there switched to a Norden and did a bit of exploring the smaller outlying strips. I stopped at a farm a bit south of Orcas, where there were sheep near the airstrip, but I also went to Orcas and watched someone flying around in a Powrachute. So much fun to go exploring in this sim, flying low and slow over nature, and just taking in the scenery.
What a fantastic video review!!! I'm going to buy myself one now, even though I don't have the 2024 sim yet. I absolutely love this airplane in 2020, and it looks like he's done it again for the new sim as well. Thanks for reviewing this airplane, Rachael. I base most of my purchases off your reviews, btw 😊. If it's AvAngel approved, then it's a winner for me. ❤
The water looks gorgeous as you skim. And the flight physics at takeoff/landing really look like what I mentally expect to see as a (non-seaplane licensed) GA pilot. In combination these strongly tug at me to finally upgrade to MSFS2024.
FS2024 seems to run very well on your system! Did you up grade any thing on your PC! I'm still waiting for the sim to settle down before I buy it!!! I love your videos!❤
It doesn't run that well... but it runs well enough after i kick it a few times for a video... usually. It's a LOT LOT better than launch, upgrde wise i went up to 64gb of ram, but i need a new gpu, the 3070ti isn't perfect rn...

I bought this in the marketplace for 2020 so I hope they will release a 2024 version once Microsoft opens the marketplace that is.
Suspect so.
Did you get the latest Orcas yet? I hear Orbx updated it for 2024!
... this is it... It's not new new... its literally just the same but 'works in' 2024 in their installer now.

It's sad that so many of the planes that come with the sim are unfinished. I'm going to have to find a payware with a diligent team.
To be fair, most are and in 20 this was, the only unfinished thing here is the pilots, which feels like a 24 side thing as multiple ones have it.
No smoking in the plane😏
XD
What airport are you at?
I literally say :D
