I can’t thank you enough for making this video. My liver specialist is giving me 3 months to get my cholesterol 278 down and my fatty liver 268. He said to eat a Mediterranean diet. No details. When you said fiber I said someone is FINALLY giving me an answer and not a prescription. I eat fresh veg, hardly anything from your list! Of 10 foods. It’s SOLUBLE fiber that is needed to clear out cholesterol. I hope it will also lower/ clear out my fatty liver. He wants to biopsy it when I go back. I don’t want a biopsy. I want a solution! Thank you so much.

I'm so glad you found the video helpful! It's fantastic that you're motivated to make changes to improve your cholesterol and liver health. The Mediterranean diet is a great choice-it emphasizes fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats, which can help lower cholesterol and support liver health.
You're absolutely right about the importance of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber helps to lower cholesterol levels by binding to cholesterol in your digestive system and removing it from your body. Good sources of soluble fiber include oats, beans, lentils, apples, citrus fruits, and barley. Since you already eat fresh vegetables, try to incorporate more of these fiber-rich foods into your meals. Also, healthy fats from olive oil, nuts, and fatty fish like salmon are key components of the Mediterranean diet and can support liver health.Wishing you the best on your journey to better health!

Very good presentation! I’m a 42 year old black woman and my total cholesterol is 221 🥴. I don’t know my HDL and LDL levels but, I’m too young for my cholesterol to be this high. Too much fast food and not enough home cooked foods and fiber (veggies). I really enjoyed this presentation and would love for you to do more videos like this. Great Job!

I went on the internet So I started to surf:
3 bulbs garlic, 3 lemons, 3 glasses ( 200 or 250 ml ) water. Chop// crush the garlic . leave it for 10 minutes so the maximum level of allicin are reached.) Squeeze the lemon, and chopp the peels. Cook for 10 minutes.
Strain it and dilute with 1,5 l water. Drink for 1 week on an empty stomach, You can also add Psyllium husk ( 1 teaspoon on 1 glass of the above lemon / garlic mixture
      mix )

I’m 33 years old and my ldl is 212, but my hdl is in a healthy range. My doctor doesn’t want me to worry, but heart disease and stroke runs in my family so I’m scared. I know I need to make healthier food choices, but my test results are really making me to go all in. Plus, I don’t want to be on any statins. I work in pharmacy and the phone calls I got from patients weren’t pleasant about the side effects.

That's sad that doctors don't give much food fix info which is natural but want to push chemicals aka medications on you and your body isn't made for those meds therefore you have side effects. Doctors also pass you off to "Nutritionists" who your insurance is basically paying to give you printouts and info you can get on TH-cam for free.

Loved, loved, loved your presentation, information, and personality throughout this video. Just had a blood test, and my cholesterol is high. I was doing keto at the beginning of the year, which was great. However, I am no longer on it and am struggling to get back to something that I can stick to. My discipline is up and down, but your video has triggered a light bulb moment. The list of soluble fibres and the benefits... I kind of knew, but listening to your video it's hit me in a different way, specifically with regards to cholesterol. I am feeling mentally energised and encouraged. Thank you for posting this. Any foods to lower uric acid.. watching from ireland 55 y/o female..thank you

    • @nourishcenter
      @nourishcenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hello from Ireland! 🍀 It's great to have you here. If you're looking to lower uric acid levels, especially if you're dealing with gout or other related concerns, here are some dietary tips:
      - Staying well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water can help dilute uric acid in your bloodstream and promote its excretion.
-Cherries: Cherries, whether fresh or as cherry juice, are often praised for their potential to reduce uric acid levels.
-Low-Purine Diet: Reducing foods high in purines, like organ meats, certain seafood (like anchovies and sardines), and some types of beans, can be beneficial.
-Moderate Protein: Limiting high-protein foods, particularly red meat and poultry, can help control uric acid levels.
-Fruits and Vegetables: Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet, as they are generally low in purines and can have a positive impact on uric acid.
BE SURE to consult with your doctor or a registered dietitian for personalized advice though! They can provide guidance tailored to your situation. Take care! 🍇🥦🥗

Hello Sharon, thank you very much for such an informative presentation. I'm happy I stumbled upon this video because I am dealing with health challenges. I'm very athletic and I thought was in great health until a recent awakening from my blood work. I'm a 69-year-old African-American female and in the process of not only trying to lower my cholesterol, but glucose, and creat levels. I've tried to eat healthily all my life. I have been a pescatarian and plantbase since 18 years old. Yes, I skipped a lot of meals and substituted junk food for meals and that's probably why I'm in this current state. I have to dig myself out because I desire to only take holistic away. I will be looking to view more of your videos and would like to consider enrolling in your 30-day Nourish Program. Again, that for a great presentation.

      🙏 Hello Shannon.
Your name floats me towards BRUCE LEE'S FAMILY.
I am anchored at the Southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula approximately 101 kms on the reverse from Cape Comorin petnamed Kanyakumari ( Kanya means Virgin - Kumari means Miss). The closest airport is 16 kms from my home. TRIVANDRUM (TREE-AROUND-THEM).It was ETYMOLOGICALLY coined -
Nose-diving from an altitude of 24,854 miles towards our airport, out of the WRIGHTS ✈️window, one glimpses the topography of Tvpm as a land
embraced completely covered with Nipa palms (coconut trees).
Known as " The LAND OF BEST NUTS". Have no doubts.
By profession, I happen to be a CONFUCIOUS (teacher) named ANTO FELLICIOUS. It's Jana gana mana.....for now. More if you are interested to communicate with me.
Freak circumstance had me stumble upon your persuasive sermon on health issues and I marvelled it & if you get an inclination cum CALL to communicate with me - then with time you may probably be held as *marvellous* by many many others too.
God bless 🙏 take care 🙏 when you are free introduce yourself, at leisure.

A few years ago, I had my gallbladder removed, and soft stool has been an issue too. I am going to put your knowledge to the test, let's see if in 3 months my results come back better. That said, I am very grateful for any videos that you kindly provide, but if it means you can produce even more content then this style please. I really appreciated the 10 foods listed at the end and the really understandable way to work out how much fiber is in each food. Do you have any thoughts on psyllium husk powder and inulin powder please? Thank you!

Hello Debra! I look forward to reading your comments! Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback on the video. I'm glad that the presentation style was helpful and made it easy for you to absorb the information.💡📝👍🏼 It's great to know that you found the 10 foods list at the end of the video useful and that the explanation on how to calculate fiber intake was easy to understand. Regarding your question about psyllium husk powder and inulin powder, both are excellent sources of dietary fiber and have been shown to have numerous health benefits. However, it's always best to consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian before adding any new supplements to your diet. Thank you for watching the video and for your support! 🤗🎉🍓

Hi ! I'm watching your video and I am intrigued. I do suffer with high cholesterol, but of late I try to eat a lot of vegetables like ochroes and leafy green vegetables and my cholesterol is way down that my family is telling me its too low. I am trying to remember because I am not at home asnd I dont eat meat as such anymore .I use flax seeds daily chea seeds provisions . What do think of cooking your food with coconut milk? I doea it and i find it good too instead of using a lot of oil. I am into county living and i do eat off the land

    • @nourishcenter
      @nourishcenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

It's wonderful to hear that you're making positive dietary changes and seeing a reduction in your cholesterol levels. Incorporating vegetables like ochroes and leafy greens, as well as flax seeds and chia seeds, can be fantastic for your health. Coconut milk adds a delicious flavor and richness to dishes while being a source of healthy fats. However, it's calorie-dense and also can be a little high in saturated fat, so moderation is key. The research is currently mixed right now on coconut milk's effect on cholesterol. As long as it fits into your overall balanced diet. It's essential to continue monitoring your cholesterol levels with your healthcare provider to ensure they remain within a healthy range. Your plant-based and whole-food approach is a fantastic step towards better heart health! 🥥🌿🍽️

Magnesium should help…lowest dose is usually 250mg. Tablets…can buy a bottle in most any store (grocery, Walmart, Target, any pharmacy, etc.)…start low and slow. Give him 250mg. tablet or gummy before bed. After about 24hrs. if no BM, then give one tablet upon waking up and another after dinner. Make sure to have plenty of healthy liquids available…especially water. An Apple 🍎 a day keeps the doctor away is a good saying, and still holds true. They have fiber, which is another important factor to help with his issue. Of course, the old standby…prunes…can be added into cereal. Oatmeal is good, and many fruits can be added to it. Hopefully this will help 👍🏻😊

The only thing I would like to know, is , I had a gallstones since I was 21, it was very shocking to the doctors and so on, but I never got the stone removed because it isn’t a moving stone, but I never had treatment for it, and how it effects my gallbladder, I believe I have a sluggish gallbladder that does not produce bile enough, and I believe Bile production has a relationship with cholesterol, so would you make a video on The relationship with Bile and cholesterol, and maybe how taking things to fix your bile production can help your cholesterol. If your cholesterol isn’t due to be over weight, or eating to much unhealthy foods, nor a genetic component, but maybe something to do with your bile production

It sounds like you're making some positive changes for your health! It's great that you're aware of the need to exercise more and start walking - that can definitely help with both weight loss and cholesterol management. It's also fantastic that your iron levels have improved. Keep up the good work, and I hope your cholesterol numbers come back within a healthier range. Remember, small steps can lead to big improvements! 😊

I am so glad you found my videos helpful, Aida! Unfortunately, without doing an assessment, I cannot provide you with advice on this because I know nothing about your healthy history. To control all three conditions (high cholesterol, chronic asthma, and weight management), it's important to consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice. They can help with diet modifications, medication management, and exercise recommendations tailored to your specific needs. In the meantime, definitely explore my videos on cholesterol and weight loss, and feel free to go back to your doctor to ask about whether implementing some of the tips I mentioned are okay or not for you. I will also be coming out with a series on blood pressure soon, too! All the best on your health journey!

Start walking 3x a week..im an asthmatic here since six month infant, I'm 55 now and learned 30 years ago walking completely changed the game for my asthma and weight. Walking 3x a week start with 15 minutes and goal is 45 mins-1 hr 5x a week but start now. All the best. Make sure you take your inhaler with you on your walk.

I nearly shut this video down if there was going to be no to be even one more teaser about this dang list and what’s number one, lol. I even shouted once, “Just tell me already!!” That’s when you said, “Let’s get right into it” and I was like,”Oh, the opportunity to ‘get right into it past us 5 minutes ago’” 😂😂😂
