Love this Skipper and his crew, his son and nephew, simple and humble gentleman, yes I watch the Wicked Tuna series all the out here in Guam in the Western Pacific !🇺🇲🇬🇺👍🏻
That's awesome! I lived on Guam for three years in the late 80s early 90s. Still make Finidini and red rice to this day. Also have around a dozen boonie pepper plants growing in my yard here in South Carolina!!!!
Dave's wife told us that Nat Geo told them there would be no show for next year (Season 14) which they would be shooting now. So all the captains took reservations to charter their boats. Then Nat Geo came back and said they changed their minds but it was too late as the boats had already booked much of the season for charters. So hopefully the following year the show will come back.
What was the weight of that tuna ? Are they getting anywhere near extinct now. ? I can remember years ago in 1970 when my wife's neighbor was catching 8 and 9 and 1000 LB Tuna off the coast off Marshfield and Duxbury. Are they smaller now than before ? Are the prices going up more from selling them to the Japanese etc. Just thinking, me and my family could eat whole belly clams, lobster, scallops, fried haddock shrimp, oysters, 2 or 3 times a week in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Now in the 2020's, I rarely eat any seafood 'cause the price is so high for my Social Security budget. I know, nobody cares anyhow. Thanks for listening ..
They said 81 inches, but I didn't see the weight. The pricing was done inside the building where I couldn't go. I know they try to manage the tuna stocks to make sure the fishery is sustainable, so I don't believe they are close to extinction. As for the other questions, I'm not sure. Thanks for watching!
I’ve heard tuna stocks are at 10% of what they once were. I went tuna fishing a week ago on a friends boat. NO fish around. No one out there was catching anything which is odd for august on cape cod
Glamour is gone, the real work!!!

She said Dave was out fishing on their other boat. So I guess the Falcon. She also told us they bought a new harpoon boat.
