The best romantic trilogy of all time. I have never felt more connected to a movie. It felt like I was eavesdropping on their whole conversation beginning to end.
Sadly I agree to this 💯 becuz I felt like it's going to be able to successfully complete the trilogy of all time

That moment... is magic.
What's great about it to me is that they don't try to MAKE it magic. There's no music, no slow-mo. They don't dash to each other. It's so small and simple, just like it would be in real life.

I thought Before Midnight had perfect ending and dont want them to continue it. Then again, I thought Before Sunset had a perfect ending too back then.

Perhaps when they are in their 60s?

Picking highlights from the trilogy seems like an impossible task as the entirety of all 3 movies is one straight highlight but you somehow did it perfectly. And to use Jesse’s train pitch to Celine to describe the aftermath of the hotel room fight in Midnight.... it presents a full circle moment so beautifully. Thank you for this.
this trilogy has been on my watchlist since forever, but i only binged it yesterday and it was one of the best experiences in my life. came out of a six year relationship recently so i like to believe i watched this at the right time, the universe finds it ways. this trilogy is far too beautiful.

The nuances of these two SAYS EVERYTHING. Why do we always hide and protect ourselves so desperately. It is tragic . I have the nuances of both of them in myself. They together and individually are SO BEAUTIFUL. VULNERABILITY IS TERRIFYING.

You ever think they'd do a 4th in 2 years? I kinda feel like they ended it perfectly with Midnight but I also love the idea of just making one of these every 9 years until one of them passes. Like visiting a long lost relative, you know?

This tribute made me cry. Thankyou for this video. Where to begin. My fav trilogy of all time. I love these two so much….it’s hard to say when to stop or even if we need them to stop….we missed the 2022 (9 year stop to make another instalment) but I do hope one day just one day we get maybe a fourth film….but it has to be Linklater, Hawke and Delpy. Otherwise Midnight was the perfect film to end on. God bless all you reading this.

From what I’ve read, they’ve talked about making a 4th one, but decided against sticking to the 9 year format, remaining open to possibly revisiting these characters when they’re older.

For those who don´t know it yet, it is a mesmerizing suprise , regardless some minor spoilers. My favorite movie trilogy ever. I've watched each movie too many times to keep track. I watch Before Sunset & Before Midnight several times/week. These movies are soooooo relaxing, the script & acting are amazing and the scenery of the 3 locations is breathtaking (especially Greece).

In my 20s Before sunrise was the most relatable one, now in my 30s I relate more to Before sunset, and I'll probably relate even more to Before midnight in my 40s. it's beautiful but also very melacholic
I still think Richard Linklater has left out the most important part of love and that should be answered in the forth and last installment of the before dusk the end of love in old age

Its been over a decade and i’m still crying
I still have to watch the third movie, and I'm really sad at the fact of feeling like i'm someone that will never be like this or connect with someone in a way like this. I think I just never will, and I feel desperate. So, I will watch the last movie today and finally add to my re-watch list the first trilogy that I will ever use as my comfort zone. I feel really attached to this movies in a sad way.

We talked for 9 months then I visited her home country in Czech Republic last week and then went to her home town Cesky Budejovice. Then we traveled around Czech Republic and Poland for 6 days. Safe to say it was such a wonderful time. All because of a damn bench. I traveled across the world to see her not knowing if she even liked me. But I just needed to know and now we are in a relationship.

_"Before Sunset"_ was kind of a sad bittersweet reminder movie for me of a very young, vivacious, Blonde-pretty girl (Model material; no exaggeration) I knew in NYC area who went with her then boyfriend (Friend/acquaintance of mine) to work n live in MPLS MN and then I lost contact with them both.....till happen stance chance brought them around again into my life.
Sad you see because they broke up (engagement) and when I met them separately 11 yrs later in the summer of '89 on my trip there, *HE,* was doing great, same guy, humor, swagger, you name it; and *SHE,* was "Hurt-damaged," withdrawn, guarded, "flat," depressed (?) jaded (?) (and too many other NOT adjectives.)....in short, hardly the person she was or you'd (and She'd?) hope she'd become. (Beautifully blossomed, etc.) Sad. So sad. 😪
I'm dying to know where I can watch these refined resolution versions of the films? I rented them on OnDemand and the resolution was nowhere this good. Is this just fantastic editing or can I actually watch the movies like this?
I have the criterion collection bundle of the three films and the resolution is amazing, they remastered the shit out of them (in a good way)
