Story time... in my market I have 5 McDonald's, I have never got orders from all 5 in one shift... until yesterday. But I did cheat a bit. I knew I needed that last one, so I parked in that lot with 20 minutes to go in my shift. I got a decent Subway order that pulled me away, but it was less than a mile away. During that drop-off I got a no-tip order from the McDonalds..... I took it because I wanted the extremely rare "McDonalds Kokomo Quintefca!!!!"
When I saw the drink in the door, I couldn't help but laugh! We delivered someone's food to the wrong house and no one came out. Meantime, the other family called looking for their order. We quickly figured out our BIG mistake and went back for the food and delivered to the correct house. The family was so forgiving and we really were upset with ourselves, but eventually laughed at ourselves.
I am new to DoorDash and got a contract violation because the stupid customer lied and said she did not get her food!! She totally got her food and I took a picture of it on her doorstep so the fact that she would lie and say she did not get her food made me want to go back and 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🍳her house! Of course I didn’t. What a psychopath! DoorDash believed me thank God.!

You done that doordash customer and your wife wrong. Yes, to answer your question, you should have unassigned when she told you she hit the button early. But, only because you had two other orders already sitting in the car. Your other choice, being so close to the drop-offs, would have been to leave to drop off the other orders and come back for that one. Bad boy!
I would of brought the drink to the customer if I still had their address. Usually when you complete it, that info disappears. I had a situation where I forgot drinks and no one said anything. Ever since then, I'm super careful to look for drinks, cuz I'm one of those people that would feel bad about that, lol.
She could dispute it by saying her husband has no sense of time and reality. 🤣🤣

I love watching you two! I do have to say that you should have brought the drink to the customer , even though you knew you would get a contract violation in my humble opinion. Because it is the right thing to do by the customer.
I disagree it’s just a drink and time is money.
I wouldn't worry about it unless it was convenient to go back there. These apps are really quick to offer refunds/credits for missing items to customers, or offer to send a replacement order free of charge.
@@jamiewellbourn3609 I have had missing drinks so much I don't order them anymore. Someone stole parts off my car and it wasn't working and my groceries weren't going to be delivered until the next day. It sucks when you pay $3 for a drink because you are very thirsty and it doesn't arrive. I also worry about putting things in drinks as well so when I want a drink I just order Dominoes.
Lol as soon as you almost pulled up to building 19, you get a message from the customer. I lol so much. Like wow, that was perfect timing. It's like she was watching you drive around all over the place via the app then probably out her window. 😂 Looking forward to more videos!
This is funny! We go through the same thing in apartment complexes,. I HATE THEM!!! We use a small well illuminated flashlight. And we know the customer can see where we are going.

I once left the drink on top of my car and it fell off as I was driving 😬 I didn’t realize that’s what happened until I got to the house and realized the drink was missing
No DON’T cancel.
You need to look at the drop off time on DD. You can be 10 minutes late without a violation. So that’s how you decide what you’re gonna do. It was 2 miles away for all the drop offs. You could have left and dropped off the DD and came back or picked up the order in the app.
Then message the customer and say it wasn’t ready and you’ll go back and get it in 20 minutes when it’s ready. Then drop off the DD and the other Uber. You still would have been back when the food was done. 4-5 miles round trip and 2 drops is easily doable in the 20 minutes it took for the food to be ready. And then maybe grab another DD while you’re picking up the food that wasn’t ready. That is something I do sometimes when I’m alone.
Or do like you suggested you stay while Mary delivers the DD

Omg I walked into the wrong restaurant not paying attention.. I told the name.. and they had an order for that name lol I was about to mark picked up until I realized I was at the wrong place 😅
If I lived in an apt. I would save time by being in the driveway...with a sign that reads....Uber Delivery for Tom,,:)
also..you might want to invest in a flashlight with at least 1000 lumens for night deliveries. :)
PS...for all you that use the Uber delivery app...
here is a suggestion....
leave a porch light on/lights on for the delivery person.......this is the other reason we use a flashlight at night...:)

When looking for a car to do gig work what do you recommend to look for? What fuel consumption, what size is best for grocery orders, do you want luxury because you will be in your car 8-12 hours a day? Obviously low maintenance and reliability. I need to buy a car and I want to do doordash, Instacart, etc. and Possibly some Uber/Lyft.
Reliability and fuel efficient would be the biggest factors in my opinion. Would recommend an SUV for grocery orders.
If you've ever worked in a restaurant you know 5 minutes can mean 20 minutes.

If it was close definitely drop off the drink. The damage was already done. At least you make up for it by semi redeeming yourself. Mistakes are made when you multiapp. Gotta focus, sometimes my brain hurts.
If you guys knew you were doing the stack before picking up the DD you can also delay confirming the pickup by 10 minutes. To give yourselves the extra time you know you’re gonna need. When dirty appin. Also when you left the store with the Uber. If you were looking at the DD drop off time. You could have hustled a little bit. Rushed to the car packed it up and said go go go. With a little hustle you could have beaten the 2 extra minutes you needed and maybe took a pic at the 10 minute late mark. While running up to the customers door.
What I would done next time is maybe donate the ice coffee to a homeless. Would made your evening feeling better. Love the content ❤
I received, my 1st violation, a few weeks ago. I have been dashing, for 3.5 years. Mine, was for being late. I was multiapping with UE. Was worth the extra money.

My question is, why are Mary's ratings, especially on time so low, for only 123 orders? Why would you push multi apping from 2 different apps? Some might disagree, but being greedy will bite you every time.

I was a hostess in a restaurant. My job was to lie to people about the wait time. I was told to say 10 minutes, no matter what.

There is a collection of bldgs in my area that #13 is by #23 and # 8 is by# 11 it makes no sense. Then there is a single apt bldg with 2 address 1112 on left and 1114 on right each door on each floor have same letter A/A B/B C/C
When you are in the restaurant and it’s running late, there’s a little button you hit to tell them and then they will protect your ratings. You should’ve done that as soon as that girl said she didn’t hit the button.
Unfortunately it doesn't work when they're waiting for an uber pickup and it's the doordash in the bag which is running late.

@@judegallagher2355 At best they won't do anything, they don't like drivers multiapping even though we're allowed to do it. That's why Lou said they're not going to contest the violation because it was their choice to do that Uber order at the same time. Personally I would have cancelled the Uber

There probably is a number on the apartment building, but usually the overhead parking structure are usually blocking the number. I Hate Hate Hate delivery to apartment complex at night. That's why I don't do gig work at night past 7-8 p.m.
I just got a violation, I went to deliver to a customer who had a gate with no gate code. I called and texted and no response so I reached out to DoorDash and they said just leave it somewhere safe outside the gate and take a picture. So I left it and took a picture and the customer reported that hat he never received the order.
Just dispute it. They will have a record of everything.

I done the same thing. I was doing my first instacart order didn’t know what I was doing and accepted a McDonald’s order which was 2 seconds away. Apparently I was late 40 min. I didn’t het a yellow box tho. I had no idea I was late like that. Didn’t seem like it was 5 minutes

I think you get three violations per violation so if you have one violation for being late to a store and also get a violation for being late to the customer that's not 2 violations but 1 + 1

Oh man, Lou... you usually set timers. What happened there? But honestly, I know that 10$ was too good to just let go. The dangers of multi apping with diff apps at the same time. But, don't stop doing it. That's how we make the most money. Just be mindful of the time when you have DD in the mix.

BTW, I would've def brought the drink back. Especially if you were close enough to her.
For the button hit with that particular restaurant. I would have just unassigned it. They are known for taking awhile. If i only had uber orders I would not care. But that dd order is what kills it. If you didn't say you got the dd order yet then you would have given yourself some time atleast. You get an extra 9 minutes after drop off on dd so use it but youbwent 3 over that. 10 lashes for lou. BTW happy anniversary

I use Adobe Premiere. Im not sure when I would have a chance to record a tutorial, but I will say there are tons of great videos on TH-cam on how to use it. Thats how I learned to edit, and am constantly watching more videos about editing to improve. Good luck!!
Wow 21 acceptance rate. Ouch I had a 44% acceptance rate and I couldn’t stand it so I had to really grind those bad orders and I finally got my acceptance rate up to almost 80% trying to hit top dasher so I can go into the first priority program, and even better orders no worries about the contract violation for being late I was late one time to I have about 1500 deliveries and out of those deliveries I’ve only had two contract violations as of now one was a late violation and the other one was a customer, claiming they never got their food Which I burn their ass because I take pictures of every drop off I do I don’t record because of privacy issues but I do take pictures of every order I do PERIOD!!!!! even if the customer has an issue I don’t care. I still take your picture or I return your food to the restaurant and call support to tell them you would not let me do my job. in other words, I really don’t mess around, especially after that one contract violation of some customer stating I never gave them their food when I did it was a leave it at my door as well so after that you are prompted to take a picture so it doesn’t matter if you record or not, they can still sit there and say they never receive their food. I just figured it’s easier just to take a picture with every single order that you do, good luck guys be safe

It’s a feature in Uber where they send out an order to a pool of drivers and the closest one who accepts the order to the pickup gets the order

Why not just call customer at the Avalon and ask for specific directions? Also UE is usually really good with exact pinpoint in apartments in the in app GPS another reason to use in app GPS 😉😉 will never understand why you guys do GPS the way you do🤔😬😅
i live in the avalon and the pinpoints are wrong😭 everytime i put in instructions the driver doesn’t follow them and goes to the wrong place haha
