  • @screenprintnerd

    killer work guys! big fans of all ya'll are doing. the Trick with the pencil tool was clutch! love it! Have you guys ever just used SPOT COLORs and printed out operations host-based? It will keep you from having to do the extra steps of making each layer black before your print it, and you can just hit print 1 time and it will print each layer on its own. Setting the REG marks to REG color will mean they print on each layer too. Keep killing it and doing what you do! Happy Printing!

    I try to avoid modifying the customer's provided artwork unless *absolutely* necessary or I get approval. As a designer, I've had too many projects unexpectedly come back for proofing with drastic changes made (logos made different sizes, arranged differently than the client requested, etc.). I don't trust the print shop with adjusting my design. If you need changes, just reach out to me and let me correct my files to your needed specs.

    Great tips. Have you ever used Photoshop to create your seps? It could save time if you're in a rush to print. I ended up creating an action in photoshop that basically does the same thing ultraseps does and it speeds up the process a bit

    So is there a reason that you use offset path instead of adding a stroke to the object?

    • @GoldenPressStudio
      @GoldenPressStudio  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can use a stroke. I just feel more in control with the offset path and it is my preferred method.

    For a white underbase do you choke the the white or expand the the color? Or does it matter?

    • @peoplecallmepeechez

      Like you are printing your films on black paper? If so this process wont work. These are supposed to be printed on clear film transparencies or a thinner paper. Light needs to easily pass through to expose the screen

    Great video. But... it's okay to draw out tiny little imeperfections if it's your design. When yo have clients design you cannot intervene that much into it, right?

    • @GoldenPressStudio
      @GoldenPressStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I feel you man. I always try to keep the design as close to the original as I can. If I feel like I'm pushing it too far I typically reach out to the client and run it by them.

      There's a bit of green added to the layers though (from offsetting the path) so it' not so much editing the design as it is making it a little more like the original (before adding that green/bleed/whatever-you-want-to-call-it to the layers)
