    I would like you to do a tutorial on how to open the inner cartridge, disassemble the cartridge and explain what options we have with changing shims, thanks in advance!

    So glad I found your Video Benji, I watched it before I replaced the springs in the forks on my 2021 450RFR. Very helpful. Rode 550km’s on it this past weekend. Forks feel a little too soft in the first part of the stroke and need more rebound I think. What would you do about the softness, more preload or more compression?

    Hi... can you make a rebuild video of WP suspension ROTA SPLIT with EDS?

  • @laz288

    Great video! Helped me immensely on my cone valves. Question: Do you know the preload range? I cannot find it anywhere. I took the fork apart and counted 11-12 full turns in before the threads start sticking out. Unlike other forks where the preload stops at then end, looks like the CV will just thread themselves out and keep turning with no stop. Was wondering what WP recommended for the max pre load turns.

    • @benjimelot
      @benjimelot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate! Thanks a lot!
      Well usually it goes from 0 to 4 turns max, never seen a setting list with more than that…
      But you gotta check the spring length to make sure it’s right (to be adjusted with spacers, measurements includes the spacers…)
      And yes it stops when you turn all the way to 0, which is counterclockwise if my memory is right (when disassembled, check what does the preload adjuster. 0 is when there is no preload on the spring…

    Something weird happened to me... I noticed that my cartridge (without open it to change oil, because it was serviced 10h ago) it tends to contract.. this is not normal right? Any explanation?

      Nathan Shaw i did make the tool as I didn’t have a real back then, but many brands are making this tool as a 3/8 or 1/2 socket, much easier to use than my old home made one ;-)

      Thanks Benjamin for the video, I was looking forward to watching a good cone valve maintenance tutorial. As you have reported, it is raid prep, and there is a range for the rest of the disciplines and weight of the pilot. In my case 78 kg without equipment I put 375ml, 4.0 and 488 mm of spring c14 r16, for a ktm tpi 300 for enduro and a very good feeling with this setting.
