I'd argue the Huracan Performante is the best version of the Huracan. No touch screen in the middle, best looking, fastest variant around a track, carbon everywhere as standard, full alcantara interior, sounds just as good probably better.
I've had both and whilst the Performante is epic the tecnica is next level. RWD/RWS , much better steering , better seats and a lot rarer. STO was a track car and too harsh as a road car but the tecnica is spot on for the road
This was my car he featured. (Bought it with just 99 miles on the clock) I'd prefer the physical buttons in the Perfomante but I'll take the looks of Tecnica over the Perf. But I'd certainly have preferred more carbon or other wipeable surfaces on the inside. The Alcantara looks nice but I use a the car a lot and I feel the Alcantara gets dirty easier 😂😂
Glad you liked the car James. Your review is spot on. After having the McLaren 570s and 720s, this is still my favourite car out of all of them so far. There's just something about a Lambo.
Thank you for sharing the car, probably the most interesting Lambo (besides the Sterrato) for a long time. Let me know if you might like to feature in a driving video with it yourself 👍😎
As usual, much valuable consumer advice. You don't buy it for good value, you buy it because you want it. That's it. A front-engined Ferrari has to be more sensible!
James-for your loose battery issue-pull it out, put a piece of painter’s tape on the long side to create friction in the battery compartment, and slide it back in. It shouldn’t come loose.
I bought a Gallardo Superleggera as a result of watching your review of that. Its absolutely epic, and just that bit rawer than these. Ironically mine is a similar green to this car you’re reviewing here. I am asking myself if I’d swap and for some reason deciding not. Perhaps it is just that analogue factor - dials everywhere, the gearbox that smacks you in the head. Possibly a similar situation to your Scuderia. Irrational but real. Great review, great car. Thanks.
@@UKBUILT mine is a later 2011 LP570/4 so has this 5.2v10 - totally agree that the earlier one is amazing, but I love the more extensive Audi underpinnings as I have an old Alfa that gives me more than enough Italian charm 🤪😂
Hi Jay, I've had my 2016 Huracan LP610-4 pictured left for three years now. It's brilliant. I also have an S2000 and an STi. Quite honestly, I don't see the benefit of purchasing any of the other variants of the Huracan. I don't think they diverge from the formula far enough to warrant the extra money. The Huracán Tecnica is my favorite Huracán, it is the "STO Touring" if you will, the best while still being road biased, which is a very underrated thing. Yes, it only has 640hp, you couldn't even exploit 300hp on any road ever. This lie that more hp means a car is better is what killed enthusiast cars. Why is this car so loved by everyone despite "only" having 640hp? Because it is the experience that matters. Mind you, speed and power are good things, great things even, but not if fun and feel are the trade-off. That's why I like Lamborghini so much, yes, they have power, but they make sure to inject some experience into it. However, I do believe what you said, I love this because of its styling and Rear Wheel Steer, but to us, common folk, would there really be that much difference between the EVO RWD and the Tecnica? I can't answer that. But yeah, long live the Tecnica :) (Hopefully the Temerario is even better despite loosing 2 cilinders)
One of these days car companies are going to come to the realization that literally everyone carries a big LCD screen in their pocket and they could do away with a lot of the extra sure-to-be-dated tech inside the car with a simple app that controls the car while getting back to tactile dials, buttons, and knobs.
@@Spenny909 I remember there being one that used the owner's phone mounted on the steering wheel, but I can't remember who did it. When we think about being a driving enthusiast, when you boil it all down I don't think there's anything more of a feast to the senses than a Lambo. Especially as we get pushed into EV appliances with no soul. This looks and SOUNDS incredible.
I was lucky enough, thanks to my mother, to have an owner come to my birthday party when they came out when I was a kid, in a metallic grey. Would love to buy that exact car one day, to fulfil a childhood dream

@@VoRLiN Funny, just the opposite for me, I drove a 488GTB first, and now I drive a Huracan Evo (AWD) Spyder. I'm happy to share lots of reasons why. "Let that sink in". The 488 engine note is very subdued, and very boring. No high notes or raised pitch at all. The engine sound is completely muffled by the turbo's. The power delivery is non-linear if you don't keep the revs up, it goes from an underwhelming response (turbo lag) to hitting "too hard" where sometimes it can actually feel disorienting. The interior is the same old, very dated Ferrari design that's been around for decades through multiple models. You're completely underwhelmed when you're inside the car, and you're completely underwhelmed by the engine sound. Why the heck are you buying an *exotic* then? There's a reason that Ferrari 458's are up on a pedestal, for many they are the last of the great V8 Ferrari's (and there are no "great" V6 Ferraris, though there are some very fast V6 Ferrari's). And there's also a reason why Ferrari conversation skips from the 458 over to the Pista & F8, without a mention of the 488's. 2020+ Huracan Evo's by comparison, look every bit the exotic, inside and out, and they deliver on the promise. The engine is absolutely amazing, very linear face-tugging pull without surprises, and absolute music to your ears at any RPM, from the moment you hit "Start" until you turn the engine off. It's hard not to have a smile on your face *all* the time. The key point to consider is that most of us don't pull out of our garage and land straight on the autobahn or a race track, we have lots of city streets, signals, and car traffic along the way, and that's where much of your driving time is spent. The Lambo rewards you every second of that with its aural symphony and instant response. It's just non-stop fun. The 488, you're bored if you're doing anything other than wringing it out. Like the 488, Evo's are fast and fun through the canyons/twisties (which is most of what I drive). The all-wheel-steer cars are very confidence inspiring. For anything short of long drag races, they are the equal to any exotic/sports car on the street given the limitations of the street. And they hold their own pretty darn well at the track. Now, to be fair to the 488... The steering is great, I like it better than the Lambo. It should be no surprise to anyone in saying the feedback coming through the steering wheel is better, it's true that the Lambo steering provides only a little of that. What you learn though, once you have some time in the Evo, is that the steering is very accurate/precise/direct, so you can place it where you want quickly & easily, and the rest of the car tells you what's going on. But the point still goes to the 488. The 488 also has better visibility, and a roomier cabin. At the end of the day, for those who are financially able be choose between cars like 488's, 2020+ Huracan's, and 600LT's (too bad the latter have horrible quality & service issues), we are blessed, and there's no wrong answer assuming the car we like fits us ergonomically. Each car is different in its own way and you have to decide what things are most important for you. My $.02c is that a properly spec'ed 2020+ Huracan delivers on all the goods for a true exotic, it does everything very well, provides maximum fun, is the last of the naturally aspirated exotics, and looks the part/speaks to me the most. If I'm going Ferrari, then it's "classic" 458, or skip to Pista (but Pista's are just silly expensive). The F8 is a stronger performer than a 2020+ H, but again, I don't like the turbo engine experience as much as the NA V10, and I think stylistically it's not as strong as the 488/Pista. Between the 458, 488 and F8's looks, I actually like the 488's the best. If the 488 had an engine that inspired me (naturally aspirated), I could probably get past the interior and it could have been a closer choice between that & an Evo. Side note, Huracan's (and LP Gallardo's) are crazy reliable, and low maintenance. Best in class in these regards.
The Sterrato may be the car for you. It may cope very well with all the awful roads you are always driving. Like running a dual sport motorcycle on less than perfect roads.
Yes. But it's mostly the floor of the McLaren Service center that's being wiped, because that's where many McLarens spend much of their time. There's a reason the 720's and most other McLarens have such "bang per buck" -- due to low resale value from horrible reliability & build quality. No one wants to own one that's out of warranty, and many don't want to have to pay ~$8k/year to keep extending the warranty especially with a corporate office that looks for every excuse to deny major claims. It's a sad tale because they'd be such great cars otherwise. I had once convinced myself I would buy one, but it was talking to all the McLaren owners & ex-owners that convinced me not to.
Thanks James for giving us a good impression of the room available on the interior in relation to your physics. I’m over 6’ with wide shoulders and being able to fit with comfort is critical to my aspirations. So many sports cars I just don’t fit well - Boxster, Jag I Pace, Astons, Z4, Lotus. Porsche 911 gets it right. Being 6’ plus isn’t that unique these days.
Yesterday I searched if doug demuro had reviewed one because I realised I knew nothing about it so your video couldn't come in a better moment! By the way, Kennan has mentioned you a couple times!
Wanting to change my 488 into a Huracan but torn between a perfomante or making the big jump to a technica…you need to drive a Perf to help my decision!
So, I own both, an STO and a Technica. STO is clearly a much better car. The brakes are significantly better, suspension tuning is better overall, rear end stays a lot more planted, I even think that the steering tuning is better as well.
for me that is one of the best looking cars ever made............. i swore never to buy another ICE car again but if money were no object i would sell my soul for that car (its a great colour too ) :D
I think this is a fantastic thing. The ultimate in amazing looks, quality analogue interior, mind-blowing performance, I totally get it. If I was a multi-millionaire would I buy one ? Nope, I'd have a 911 GT3 RS, much cheaper but to me a more fun car.
I’d pick this over the performante it’s a different level 💯but that STO is a completely different beast 🌟 but always prefer 4WD evo is always a great go to car
Great analysis, thank you! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I think the Huracan and the Aventedor look better than their replacements. I have a slot for the Temarario and I don’t know if I want to replace the Technica
Of all the Huracans, my favourite has got to be the Sterrato and Performante. Why? Performante got people talking by its Nordschleife record, and it was just so good-looking. And Sterrato broke the mould of samey-samey low-slung ground-hugging supercar and be something mental altogether. Tecnica felt like it's in no-man's land, if you want RWD V10 mid-engined supercars you can just buy either EVO RWD or R8 RWD performance. Don't get me started with STO, all bark and no bite on the racetrack. However, compared with the Temerario I'd have any Huracan any day of the week. Don't know why, Temerario just looks... wrong. A friend of mine used to have a Tecnica. The first day he brought his Tecnica out early last year I can hear him arriving from a mile away. Since then he sold it for the new GT3 RS.
@@UKBUILT Yeah, good point. Cut out the "cut price" bit. The point is, they can re-create the F1 experience easily. Make it a mainstream car to sell alongside the 750S. Maybe the S1 or the L1 in deference to the Lamborghini engine?
@@richardmortimer8147I would love to see that 😍 I was hoping the new Mclaren would have take more from the features solus gt. In my opinion they played it abit safe. But I guess I am old because I prefer older cars 😂
I’d take any Huracan (yes, even a RWD) over the Temerario. Not even just on some purist-y type, its just the front & rear profiles on that Temerario are something only its momma could love frfr.
And here's ME driving along in my Brand New HONDA CIVIC Series 11, knowing that this is certainly the BEST Honda vehicle ever developed and produced for the "Lowlifes", like me...OUTSTANDING would be an understatement...enjoy Life, get one ordered, NOW...Stay safe, G.A.R.
Tecnica is supposedly positioned as a less raw STO but the ride quality is quite rough on roads in the UK, the EVO RWD felt more livable somehow and if it's about RWD, then that is the perfect fun Huracan variant. Tecnica like the STO is a bit overrated and the STJ is just a joke. Will take a Pista over any Huracan.
Why did they go to Bridgestone? I had a Mazda RX8 that came with specially designed Bridgestone rubber, got rid after a couple of months and every set I used after them, Goodyear, Michelin etc where all 10 times better, felt like a different car. Bridgestone bah.

Just saying, and as always marvellous entertainment with a bucket load techno info that will have nerds going into little worlds of their own !! 🤔😎😂 always welcome to come try my humble 2 cars 🤷🏻♂️ Keep up the great work tart 👍💪
These are cool cars but I've never wanted for one. I don't make enough to afford one so here's that. The problem is my build. I'm very wide across my back and shoulders. So that makes cars like these incredibly uncomfortable. Add in they are very tight inside it makes me claustrophobic.
Spectacular Machine no doubts at all And turning my head every time.... but Lambo that's isn't hard work to drive even in regular speed.... It's kinda mishit to its heritage And purpose... More than this signal green Bolide I would be excited spending equal money on last gen of Viper before it was discontinued...
November uk b road stroll in a lambo seems like an obvious conclusion. I believe the road differences between this (or an sto) and an evo are not noticeable for this use case. Similar to a gt3 vs 3rs being driven mildly the same time/place
@@JayEmmOnCarsi think it was intended to be a superior road car to the sto. You may have missed the point a little. Its just more expensive than other huracans but not because its a superior road car to them. Also im not trying to defend the tecnica i largely agreed with alot of your observations.
'Bespoke' tires. What a fraud. Is printing the name of the manufacturer on the tire bespoke? If you believe what you hear, tire manufacturers are making customized tires for every low volume car on the market. Balls.

For the money a 720s wipes the floor with most super cars bang for buck and speed and curb appeal
The perf on up had diff intake manifolds, throttle bodies etc than earlier huracan plus titanium
So yes there are mechanical changes , drastic
Tecnica Legend ✌️🙂
This is probably controversial but I prefer the sound of a V10 to a V12 unless it's a Ferrari V12.
I prefer both 😂
I am using a V12 for my project 😎
And planning the ultimate V10💪
Yesterday I searched if doug demuro had reviewed one because I realised I knew nothing about it so your video couldn't come in a better moment! By the way, Kennan has mentioned you a couple times!
Wanting to change my 488 into a Huracan but torn between a perfomante or making the big jump to a technica…you need to drive a Perf to help my decision!
It’s more of an “occasion” than a car. Very pretty & very loud but I don’t think I’d have one
So, I own both, an STO and a Technica. STO is clearly a much better car. The brakes are significantly better, suspension tuning is better overall, rear end stays a lot more planted, I even think that the steering tuning is better as well.
Great car, but just not a Performante. That car is peak Huracan.
for me that is one of the best looking cars ever made............. i swore never to buy another ICE car again but if money were no object i would sell my soul for that car (its a great colour too ) :D
Peak hurucan was the performante
It's a good job Lambos don't need a front reg plate, because that would really spoil the looks...
@iannolan-f4g lol what? Depends where you are
@@andrewvaughan5686 I was joking - they are a legal requirement in the UK. But often don't have one...
How come i can't put subtitles captions on? Im deaf so can't watch your review :(
@@Billy-Whizz Hopefully you can now, they are working for me.
Good video 😊
I’d pick this over the performante it’s a different level 💯but that STO is a completely different beast 🌟 but always prefer 4WD evo is always a great go to car
4:27 wow!
Great analysis, thank you! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Probly the last non hybrid they will make.
I think the Huracan and the Aventedor look better than their replacements. I have a slot for the Temarario and I don’t know if I want to replace the Technica
Hey James, if you want to film my Lexus LC 500h Launch Edition next time that you are up in Scotland let me know.😀
Of all the Huracans, my favourite has got to be the Sterrato and Performante.
Porche advert.
10:17 I bet you could fit 20 chihuahua's in that frunk on a hot summer day thrashing Laguna Seca.
Performante is my favorite..
The HURACAN V10 will be missed😢… I don’t like the looks of its replacement..
Great video thanks
McLaren should make a cut price F1 with 3 seats (they can use the Speedtail 3 seat tub) and that (Lamborghini) engine... What a car that would be!
That would be awesome 😍 I guess they don't need to tho, they can demand whatever price they want, top customers will still buy it.
@@UKBUILT Yeah, good point. Cut out the "cut price" bit. The point is, they can re-create the F1 experience easily. Make it a mainstream car to sell alongside the 750S. Maybe the S1 or the L1 in deference to the Lamborghini engine?
@@richardmortimer8147I would love to see that 😍
I was hoping the new Mclaren would have take more from the features solus gt. In my opinion they played it abit safe. But I guess I am old because I prefer older cars 😂
I’d take any Huracan (yes, even a RWD) over the Temerario. Not even just on some purist-y type, its just the front & rear profiles on that Temerario are something only its momma could love frfr.
Odd looks isn't it? The front I don't dislike, but the rear is too fussy
Those pedals look very similar to what’s in my Skoda yeti DSG
Since Skoda and Lamborghini are owned by VW I wouldn't be shocked if they were the same.
I can't wait for the day i can own a Lambo and work on it💪😎
Awesome 😍
Make it happen 💪
I'm building a V12 supercar 😎
@@UKBUILT cool, let us know how it goes, cant wait to know more about it!
@@JK-yi9gkThanks 👍 It's the first build I am recording. I am currently working on episode 4 of my TH-cam series 😎
I can't see any for sale under 200k?????????????
And here's ME driving along in my Brand New HONDA CIVIC Series 11, knowing that this is certainly the BEST Honda vehicle ever developed and produced for the "Lowlifes", like me...OUTSTANDING would be an understatement...enjoy Life, get one ordered, NOW...Stay safe, G.A.R.
Looks stunning, but there’s always something else I would pick for same money. And seats always sub-par - perhaps just not made for UK roads.
👍
ty 🙏🙏
Sport with soft suspension. Like my DB11 AMR then 😂😂
Hey Jayemm, can you try to get hold of a Huracan Sterrato to review please 🙏 ❤
If u don’t drive ur dream car every chance u get , it’s a glorified ornament
Mileage = memories
And u can’t buy them , there priceless
Mr Mccann come on step up let him loose in the Sterrato
"something that can last a decade or two"
*Looks at the Chevy Express/ GMC Savannah*
Ah yes, the Ferrari man himself
He'll be on the bull side soon enough
Daydreaming is not a very good thing.
Ferrari is for the badge status
This whole channel is an exercise in how to fail to control your desires.
Fat people were never really known for impulse control
My personal favourite is the Performante. No other comes close.
I love the gallardo performante 🙂
I personally think the Evo is the better-looking car. The excessive pops are farts are very off-putting
Luckily James advised us not to buy one. I'm sticking to my Mazda 😅
7:59 dang... clack your feet together before you bring them inside. No excuse for that amount of crap in the footwell.
James you can never say that in your opening statement… you of all people own some serious money wallet emptying cars ie, your small collection of the Ferries!! Just saying, and as always marvellous entertainment with a bucket load techno info that will have nerds going into little worlds of their own !! 🤔😎😂 always welcome to come try my humble 2 cars 🤷🏻♂️ Keep up the great work tart 👍💪
Some percentage do not have unwarranted irrational wants. And the planet is better because of them.
Isn’t JayEmm IN the cars?
These seem very rare, I've seen more McLaren GTs on the road
Lambos haven't been good since they became big flashy audis.
Would take a 90s Diablo SV/VT over any of these passionless bores anyday.
Imagine Porsche is stuck on 500 in its $400,000 GT3
These are cool cars but I've never wanted for one. I don't make enough to afford one so here's that. The problem is my build. I'm very wide across my back and shoulders. So that makes cars like these incredibly uncomfortable. Add in they are very tight inside it makes me claustrophobic.
its higher and softer than the STO
Spectacular Machine no doubts at all And turning my head every time.... but Lambo that's isn't hard work to drive even in regular speed.... It's kinda mishit to its heritage And purpose... To me the mighty monster of Lambo should be survival mission in a clash with devilish deadly machine every time I dare driving it... Last one of this breed was bity Murciélago....
More than this signal green Bolide I would be excited spending equal money on last gen of Viper before it was discontinued...
Does not carry the Ferrari stigma👍
18:34 you've just got out of your Jag? Didn't know you had a Jaguar in your fleet?
I'll stick with my GR86!
i prefer the v12 lambos
November uk b road stroll in a lambo seems like an obvious conclusion. I believe the road differences between this (or an sto) and an evo are not noticeable for this use case. Similar to a gt3 vs 3rs being driven mildly the same time/place
Perhaps, but the implication is that the Tecnica is a superior road car to all other Huracans, and I just don't see it
@@JayEmmOnCarsi think it was intended to be a superior road car to the sto. You may have missed the point a little. Its just more expensive than other huracans but not because its a superior road car to them. Also im not trying to defend the tecnica i largely agreed with alot of your observations.
@@plife911 It's what other journalists seemed to think - Lamborghini themselves didn't really seem to know what the Tecnica was!
@ 😂
R35 Nissan GT-R is laughing at you JayEmm
I ❤ The GTR R35!
'Bespoke' tires. What a fraud. Is printing the name of the manufacturer on the tire bespoke? If you believe what you hear, tire manufacturers are making customized tires for every low volume car on the market. Balls.

Don't need to buy this car! A Ford Focus RS sounds just as good and can use for shopping!
Great car but i find it too brash, the noise the styling.
Never mind how “good” this car is… it’s easily ten times cooler than any McLaren. James, I’m envious of your Ferraris but this Huracan just outrocks them both.
Says a guy who's never owned any of them.
@ you are absolutely correct.
I would rather own the Brabus GTS shooting brake.
why does the back half of this car look like a nissan or a Toyota. I think Lambo needs new engineering blood
