this is my first time ever messing with a nitro mix and I was very surprised to say the least! the gains on the vp racing 50% mix was 80+ whp! Sorry I cant give out exact numbers but just understand this car is crazy and don't judge a book by its cover ! tweet

How much extra duty for the added 25-30% hp? In the past with home made mixes with 50% by weight the duty needed an extra 50% at least. How does this vp stuff compare?

It was nitro and m5. 25% nitro total.

Have you guys got pretty familiar with this fuel I need someone to do a tune.
It looks like there is an air fuel ratio meter inside the car. The reading is showing on the ‘gas scale’ maybe? It’s kinda tough to tell exactly but looks like afr during pulls is 10.4 down to 9.9 for both m5 as well as the 50-50 nitro. Did the tuner find best power at these afr levels? or was the engine ran that rich for a safety factor?
What injectors are you using? I'm having trouble finding something that can handle the nitro.
Are you flushing after use? Can you please share some info about maintnance due to nitro?
injectors info for nitro guys is very hush hush ...but yes ..you have to wash the system out with 93 after
Call around to a few reputable injector companies, someone has what you need and they will tell you. Skip the street advice and ask the pros, always your best bet.

Where do you get the fuel from and what name and part# SPECIFICALLY is on the spark plugs?
The fuel is from VP racing fuel its there 50/50 M5 Nitro Blend, as to plugs ask your tuner
Id be willing to bet theyre running either ngk bkr8eix or ngk bkr9eix

It was in the car to get the tune close of m5 to make sure nothing went wrong

So…. Let’s say you have a 550 Hp 305 on methanol. What would a 25% nitro 75% methanol mix get you gain wise?

Hello! I'm from Russia. We want to try using vp racing nitro 50-50 fuel on an n / a engine. Nobody has done this here yet. Nobody can tell. What afr should we expect to properly calculate the fuel system? Thank you in advance!
Check out a channel called Uncle Tony's Garage, he has some great videos on nitro "black magic". He started tuning nitro motors way back in the 70s and doesn't mind sharing info 👍 Are you guys planning on EFI or Mechanical injection?

You happen to have a bsfc number,trying to calculate what size injectors to use..want to try some on my lsx stuff..i know straight meth is around 1.0..figure 50/50 is probably around 1.7 is guess

what these guys are doing is adding a slower burning fuel to increase the duration of the burn so the piston is pushed down for a longer period of time. its very simple actually. I bet they had some big injectors on there
Adding an oxygen bearing fuel is actually what helps.
At 3:05 why does it sound like it’s breaking up at mid and low range RPM?

Neat video and good luck with running it! However, my definition of a street car is its Fully legal, and gets everything it needs to run at any gas station. A race car is fully NHRA certified. Keep up the good work!

Elias Melendez doubt it, 2200s and 2000s can’t support a fuel like nitro, you can’t even run c85 with those injectors
I run M5 on my all motor engine on 2200cc injector dynamics. Yes you can and on nitromethane aswell you need a fuel pump and -10an lines to support the fuel delivery. You can run multiple injectors aswell. I just run 4 2200cc injectors, but I have seen 8 2200cc injectors on a Honda engine
