My entire house was tin foiled and it kept my cat off everything for a bit...then one day he began playing with it and laughing at me....he constantly outsmarts me and I have a decent IQ.

My cat thinks the foil is a fun new toy, I think he actually likes the noise it makes🤦‍♀️

She's still little but, I just moved into my apartment and so far, no counter hopping! But it could also be because the counters are covered with boxes and things.

My boy Smokey just started hopping onto the counter and is 6 months old, and I've been trying to figure out how to keep him away. This has been a very helpful video.

I've catified the rest of the house. Lots of shelves all over the walls, doorways, short and long runs. Low, medium and high. Just for them.

OK I am very strict about this ..I do not let cats on any surface where food is cooked or eaten ..they have their own food area ..and that's clear....however I don't mind them around my feet at cooking or Dinner time ..and of course they get treats,..

My cat never used to jump on the counter. Then one day he just randomly started. He is 2 years old. Then today he decided that it was a good idea to start trying to get in the cupboard with the glasses. He has two cat trees, one is small and the other is about 5feet tall with multiple levels. We even let him jump up on the window. How do we stop him from being naughty

I have a 6 months old and he just learned how to jump on the kitchen counter. My only worry is my stove as he almost got burnt today!! He doesn’t care if the stove is on!! I have been studying by my stove to make sure he doesn’t get on it when it is on or hot. Foil didn’t work so i am going to try the lime and see if that works. Every time i tell him to go down, he goes down because he knows he will get a treat, but when i am not around he goes up again!! I M still practicing giving him treats when he gets down and he has tall tree and other things to climb!

The problem is that we adopted our cat (a one year old) from a "cat cafe". He was allowed to climb and walk and lay on whatever table, etc he wanted to there. I now have to break these habits.

My 5year old Fanta gets on the table when I go to bed, my 2year old Smokey gets on the table too in the daytime. I bought the spray now I’ll use it everyday

Cats are outside pets. We had lots of cats when I was a kid and they all stayed outside not inside. Grandma said it was gross to let a cat go to the bathroom in your house and climb all over people with cats. Their house stinks. Sorry that’s how I feel. Not that I don’t Wildcats. It says that I love them a lot more and then crawling around my house.

I have one cat that is very stubborn. Sticky tape she eats, aluminum foil she sleeps on, licks the citrus. Have a feeling because she doesnt like 3 other cats its only place they wont jump up because they learned.

    THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!

  • @depyhooves

hey i need help! So this thing with my cat has been going on for a very good while now. She used to not jump on tables, but now she does it all the time. And I have no idea how to stop this unwanted behavior. not to mention it's making me and my Grandma really upset. If it continues, then she might have to get put out...( My Grandma is not thinking of getting rid of her just thinking of putting her outside) But it's going on forever and it's the dining room table.. Where we eat at. It is both just annoying and unsanitary. All the things in this video is very helpful. I can't put a luminium foil on the table. Cause it's just gonna look bad not to mention I eat there. At the moment, we don't have anything circus scented. nor a clicker. And I do know that yelling at the cat is not the way to go( Even so we'd been doing it forever and it hasn't even made a difference) It's just so hard not to get mad because it's so frustrating. And it seems like she doesn't have the message through her head that she cannot jump on the table. And if she continues doing it, she's gonna find herself outside. We even had tape on the table at 1 time. It worked for a good while, but then the tape just lost stickiness. And it was really hard to get off. And it didn't suit the purpose. I suppose that I could just put some more clear tape on there. But I'm not sure if my Grandma would agree with that. Additionally, I love my Kitty so much. And I hate to yell at her, but this behavior just gotta stop. Please if anybody has any tips, let me know.
