I read somewhere, that if you had a low battery it could throw an error code and cause this type of problem. Have you had it to the dealer to scan and clear any codes?
I traded the Rogue in on a Kicks. The problem with the Kicks is the transmissions die at 60,000 miles. You can extend the tranny by changing the fluid every 30k.
I have something near by as a problem with Rogue 2016 SV. Only when it's -2 outside the back door sends a signal to the computer that the door open and close. Making the system lock and unlocking. Sent it twice to the dealer and replaced the door lock system and no change.
I've been covered up. I'm ordering a benchtop power supply so I can work with this in the house. Give me another 2 weeks and I'll either have this, will have traded the car, or bought a new mechanism. I am also getting some water in the car and wonder if I have a short due to moisture or corrosion. I think there is debris in the a/c air intake under the wipers that is allowing water into the interior.

No. I actually was on vacation this week with the intention of figuring it out but ended up working all week. At this point, I may just trade it in on a new car.
@@djuggler - I cant wait to hear and answer. Craziest thing happened my neighbor is a mechanic so just happened to bring it up because he was fixing his car. so he come over to look and it started working perfectly again and so far no more issues. He or i litterly did nothing i pushed the button to show what it was doing and it opened all the way and i am like well it doesnt close so i pressed it again my car made a lair outta of me. So far still working fine. But i would like to know your result because i have a feeling it will stop working at some point again. could be months or years and if i kinda know that would be great. I hope it all works out for you, if you can and remember let me know what you did or post a video that would help me and others i am sure. Thanks

The dealer wanted $65 to evaluate it. I should have spent the money. I should probably at least run by autozone to check codes.

Did you figure this out yet? I have the same problem now and this entire assembly is over $300, I might end up replacing it.
