I wonder how many of us in that 30-50 range this punched directly in the feels. I know I am among that age group that was born and raised just outside of Morgantown in Preston Co, but had to leave the state for better job opportunities. I know I constantly think of how much I miss it back home and wish I could be there.
I grew up outside of Charleston & had to leave to pursue a better life in Cincinnati. I miss my family & friends there every day. There’s not another place like WV. I miss my mountain mama
I'm fortunate that I'm still here but every time I travel for work, I'm excited to come back home. I have many friends who have left but WV is where I'll always be.

I didn't grow up in West Virginia, however I spent 4 of the best years of my life attending West Virginia University (2009-2013). I made so many friends and memories and this song makes everything come flooding back into my head. Thank you for the trip down memory lane everytime this song comes on. I miss Morgantown and all the people that helped to make Morgantown special to me.

I spent 20 years of my life in Winfield, WV. I left home for the army and eventuality ended up in Colorado. Out of all the places I’ve lived, WV has something special to it. I hope that at some point in my life, I live there again. Great video, made me feel like I was home.

This song describes both mine and my wife's journey. Both born and raised in West Virginia. When we were younger our ultimate goal was to chase our bodybuilding dreams of becoming professional bodybuilders. We finally were able to make the journey out to southern California and spent several years of ups and downs pursuing our dreams in the bodybuilding industry. There were certainly good times but there were also heart breaking times as well. Although we had an incredible journey chasing our dreams and making life long friends and memories, there is just no place like home. Life is funny, you think you always will be better off somewhere else but there is no place like home. We moved back to the east coast. MHS class of ‘86, and Mario’s is just down the hill from my parents. Spent a lot of time at Marilla, too. I moved after graduating WVU in 1990. First Atlanta then to West Hollywood. Finally landed in Colorado and reunited with a guy who also went to MHS. We’ve been married 7 years. I do love it here, but thankful my family is still in Morgantown. I grew up in Richwood West Virginia. In 10th grade health class we sat in a circle in the gym and were asked to tell something about ourselves that no one knew. Mind you most of the class I knew my whole life. When it was my turn to speak I told everyone I was born in California. Everyones jaws dropped and said really. I used to want to move to California but I knew it wasn't me. I live in Illinois right now and have been here 6 years to long. I miss the clean rivers and lakes. Here in Illinois you feel dirty after a swim.

I too moved from west Virginia to Washington with my husband and children about a year. This song hits home. My entire family is in west Virginia. I never thought about living anywhere else. It has been a experience. I just wanted to say this song is great.
West Virginia has been my second home my whole life. I live just across the border now in Greene County PA, but family has deep roots in Morgantown right down to the building of that clock tower. As well as working in the coal mines.

MHS class of ‘86, and Mario’s is just down the hill from my parents. Spent a lot of time at Marilla, too. I moved after graduating WVU in 1990. First Atlanta then to West Hollywood. Finally landed in Colorado and reunited with a guy who also went to MHS. We’ve been married 7 years. I do love it here, but thankful my family is still in Morgantown. My sister and her family just moved back this past summer. Congrats on the song - so heartfelt. Beautiful video, too.

I grew up in Richwood West Virginia. In 10th grade health class we sat in a circle in the gym and were asked to tell something about ourselves that no one knew. Mind you most of the class I knew my whole life. When it was my turn to speak I told everyone I was born in California. Everyones jaws dropped and said really. I used to want to move to California but I knew it wasn't me. I live in Illinois right now and have been here 6 years to long. I miss the clean rivers and lakes. Here in Illinois you feel dirty after a swim.
Been keeping up with Huey for what has to be over a decade now and seeing this dude never give up and keep pushing all this time and now made a song with one of the most legendary artists in the world. It's not a just a good country song, its a great song period. Time to go back to the Just Me and Popular days and work my way back here. Biggups man!
