Reason #3 for not melting the edge inside - smoke alarms. I learned the hard way, had to take down ALL of the smoke alarms while they’re screaming at me, and reset them and put them all back. Took me hours and my ears won’t stop ringing for 2 days.

This was great!! I would like to learn to make my own car seat covers, can’t find what I want to buy. Where do you get a sewing machine like that especially at a reasonable price. Thanks again.

The sewing machine is a Juki 1510N-7 - it's pretty expensive new, but if you keep your eye on the used market, paying half of the new price is possible.... I found mine on Kijiji - pretty heavy though - almost 250 pounds.... You don't need that much machine for most jobs - I think a 1508 or 1541 would suffice. I'm currently using a Sailrite machine because it's much smaller and lighter - not as good a sewing experience - not as good a machine - but smaller and lighter and also gets the job done. Compared to the 1510 - it's much cheaper too....
