    What is the best webbing for belt loops on contractor/construction pants?

      @SailriteWorkbench  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We're not sure that webbing is the best option for your belt loop, but if you were to use webbing, we'd use this. sailrite.com/shop/notions/webbing/nylon?facet_width=1%22&facet_width=2%22
      Email us at info@sailrite.com, and we'd love to help you with your project. Also, including photos of your project can help our team better help you!

    Do you have a chart of all this information, comparing characteristics and prices in your online catalog?

      Here is our Webbing Selection Guide PDF : www.sailrite.com/PDF/Webbing-Selection-Guide.pdf In this PDF you'll be able to find more information and applications for each webbing type as well as a comparison chart. You can also find this PDF in our blog "How To Choose The Right Webbing": www.sailrite.com/How-to-Choose-the-Right-Webbing

    Hello
    What is the webbing called that is ridgit like it is used on good strong tool belts, that don't are like flimsy soft. Please 🤔

    • @SailriteWorkbench
      @SailriteWorkbench  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Usually it is a heavier polyester webbing. Meaning the yarns are thicker and it is woven to be thicker than a webbing used for straps, tethers or support.

    Hi I make dog leashes with webbing for working dogs, i currently use nylon but i find the nylon is to smooth with no grip yet the edges are to sharp on the hands when held tight. What do you recommend as an alternative material? Thanks

      Great question! We have a PDF that goes more into detail on specific uses of webbing.
      ( www.sailrite.com/PDF/Webbing-Selection-Guide.pdf ) In the PDF it lists these materials that would work well for dog leashes: Grosgrain Polyester, Polyester, Nylon, Sunbrella, Polypropylene, and Cotton. Strength of webbing is not a big concern with dog leashes. Nylon has the softest hand and would be the most comfortable. Polypropylene is another popular choice due to the variety of colors available and economical price. We also sell some of our webbing by foot so you would be able to get small sizes of each to compare in person. Hope this is helpful for you!

    What is the most stretchy one?

    • @SailriteWorkbench
      @SailriteWorkbench  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      When it comes to stretchiness in webbing, Nylon webbing is known for its excellent elasticity. Nylon has a high level of stretch and flexibility, making it a popular choice for applications that require some give and stretch. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to let us know. We're here to help!

      We would recommend a webbing that has a high breaking strength and a low stretch. To find the best webbing for what you are using it for, we would suggesting using the facets on the left side of our website to pin point your breaking strength range. Under "Narrow By" select "Breaking Strength Range". Here is the link to our webbing to use those facets: www.sailrite.com/Notions/Webbings You can also use this Webbing Selection Guide PDF to further compare webbing based off of qualities you are looking for: www.sailrite.com/PDF/Webbing-Selection-Guide.pdf We hope this is helpful for you!

    I don't think any webbing other than Polyester is really needed no matter what you are doing. Good for outdoor uses and color doesn't fade as well as offers high strength. Dyneema is also fantastic but is not as economical. This is from experience and thousands of dollars invested in testing making assorted things from bags to rigging lines. Polyester All day.
