I have zero flexibility so I can't touch my toes when I'm standing. This exercise was hell. It's been years since I've been this motivated to work out.

Though it's discouraging, try again! Try not to focus on using the momentum of swinging your neck/shoulder upwards and instead flex your core and focus on that bringing you upwards. Goodluck!
You could keep your legs a little bented (just like the girl in the back is doing). The reason you can't keep your legs straight is because your hamstrings aren't flexible enough. If you want your legs to be straight, then you should stretch your hamstrings.

You can stretch before, but it won't help that much for this video. You need to work on your active flexibility for holding your legs straight up in the air. This process takes time (but it's totally worth it :) )
Doing this after a bad breakup, the 2 things that make me happy are exercising and seeing my fave creators collab! Thank you Cassey, Justine, and Jenna for this wonderful video! I really needed this, it boosted my mood and give me something other than crying to do.
List of body parts I've been feeling these exercises in: Neck, shoulders, back, quads, neck, knees, NECK. List of body parts I'm waiting to feel it in: Abs. Lol. Maybe my abs are stronger than I thought, and I didn't realise because they are hiding under a layer of insulation. Or maybe I've just been doing these exercises all wrong 🙃
Im no pro but it sounds like maybe youre not engaging your shoulders and core enough. My neck stiffened with the crunches too but i tried putting more work in lifting with my chest and pulling in my core. Hope you get the hang of it 😊
i think that actually means that your ab muscles are weak and you're using those other muscles to compensate and complete the exercise. at least, that's how it seems for me when the wrong muscle group hurts. like the other person said, try to focus really hard on engaging whatever muscle you're trying to work. also maybe modifications might help, because i think good form ensures you're targeting the right spot. if the exercise is too hard and your form is off, you might end up working something entirely different.
Up&&&Away is right! I had the same problem (with my neck) on day 1, but ever since I started mentally focussing on my abs during the exercises I’ve been feeling them physically. My advice is start doing the exercise and shift around a bit until you feel it in the right spot. Also try and keep your upper body as stiff and strong as possible, that way I started lifting my chest and shoulders instead of my neck alone
I got finished at eleven this morning. I was thinking about skipping today's workout because I have preparations for school to work on but I just couldn't not do it because I've been updating my friend who lives across the world every day about my workouts, so I'm gonna go tell them I did it today and get back to preparing (today I have to fix a discord server for a club I'm in). Today was freaking hard! I am not super tall, but i still have long legs, and i am no longer super flexible so my legs couldn’t keep up being straight, and so i did the whole thing with my legs bended a little. Feels bad i couldn’t do it properly, and my whole body hurts and keeping it straight hurt. But press on everyone! I did extra reps too cause i felt like i didnt do it right. I have a feeling even then, I can’t reach my legs cause it is long, and my arms aint that long either.
I pulled my hamstring yesterday and today's (day 6's) challenge was hard so I only did about 75. I feel like this one is going to be hard, too. But also I don't want to give up on this challenge just yet because I'm so motivated :_______( Update: thanks for the motivation everyone, not only did I catch up on what I missed yesterday but I did today's too!! ❤️

Breaking it down into smaller sets it totally fine. Even if you come back to it later in the day rather than after a short breather. But ultimately, as great as getting to the 100 is, the main point here is to build habit. So just make sure you do *something* each day to rededicate yourself to it. If you need to swap out a move, do it. It's much more about consistency :) You've got this! Every one in the comments is rooting for you 😄

Journal time! Day 7, this one was a little tougher than the last few, but the hardest so far has still been the leg raises. When I did this the first time 5 years ago, I couldn't actually reach my toes and it was more like a regular crunch. I don't know if it's because I've lost weight or my abs are just stronger now but I had the full ROM this time! (Mostly; the last 6 or 7 were a little rough) I noticed as I went along that I was drifting up my mat. I stopped to adjust at almost the exact time that Cassey acknowledged the same thing and cut the video. It threw off my timing so I backed up 10 seconds and got some extra reps in, I think. One of the disadvantages of following asking is pace. Confession: I'm not actually counting my reps, just following along and assuming that I'm matching Cassey (I don't know since I can't actually see the screen while performing the exercise.) Sometimes she'll count the reps and I realize that I'm going too fast or too slow, so I may not actually be outgoing performing exactly 100. That seemed to be the case here, she was going a little faster, so hopefully the extra 10 seconds revenged things out a little bit. I don't feel too bad, though, because I've noticed her guests aren't always in sync either. Oh well, still a good workout.

MY OBLIQUES ARE STILL SCREAMING from the wiggles and candlestick dippers. I've worked my abs for years now with your workouts and they seem to never get sore anymore but this challenge Cassey is killing them and I'm feeling sore like I never have!

Thus for me was the easiest and I really enjoyed it . I absolutely love this challenge. Could you do one every month because I love them and I feel like it helps obviously strengthen my core but it actually makes me feel way more confident in my stomach area so I'm really thankful.
I was hoping Justine and Jenna would be part of this challenge honestly!! I know you probably already filmed all these? But I'd love to see Lilly Singh as well!! I did day 6 today although I take Sunday as my rest day... and honestly doing 100 reps of one move isn't too bad at all for me! Even if it's a challenge. Thank you for uploading all of these for us so we have a video to do them with, without needing to worry about time zones for a live broadcast.

A little less successful than yesterday but still working! I felt that a lot in my legs. I also put my legs up at some points and supported them :). It’s 8:53 and I’ve been done for a few minutes now.
Finished after work & School today at 8:03 PM 700 ab reps in 7 days. CRAZY!!! My boyfriend hated me day 1-5 but now even he is saying it's well worth it
I felt it in my shoulders today it wasn’t that bad but I got it done . I’m proud of myself Before hand I wouldn’t even attempt a challenge because I’m so out of shape but girl Im starting to see the difference from day 1 till now . This is only the beginning I’m not stopping

This is something I also struggle with but like the one before me said: Try to focus on your abs and lift up from your the chest.
I was definitely lifting with my abs, but my neck is still super sore from keeping it stiff so that it comes along for the ride.
see at back or keep an apple between for neck and face u ll lift your chest

You could keep your legs a little bented (just like the girl in the back is doing). The reason you can't keep your legs straight is because your hamstrings aren't flexible enough. If you want your legs to be straight, then you should stretch your hamstrings.

Just because you didn't do 100 doesn't mean you failed! Even if you have to take a rest day to recover keep going!!!

6:12 pm just finished was fun, went bowling with hubby today and felt day 6 workout soreness was very much felt.
Now I'm scared. My lower back muscles/sides/whatever-they-are-called - hurt! Really hurt.

After every one of these I try to "Roll up with control!" as is Blogilates tradition to say/do , and it is SOOO HARD!! hahahaha i really do like this challenge, i needed it!

Just wanted to say I'm loving this!!! Hoping for a stretching challenge next since it's my new years goal to do the splits!
Thus for me was the easiest and I really enjoyed it . I absolutely love this challenge. Could you do one every month because I love them and I feel like it helps obviously strengthen my core but it actually makes me feel way more confident in my stomach area so I'm really thankful.
Just completed DAY 7 and loving every minute of the challenge so far!

I did day 6 today although I take Sunday as my rest day... and honestly doing 100 reps of one move isn't too bad at all for me! Even if it's a challenge. Thank you for uploading all of these for us so we have a video to do them with, without needing to worry about time zones for a live broadcast.

A little less successful than yesterday but still working! I felt that a lot in my legs. I also put my legs up at some points and supported them :). It’s 8:53 and I’ve been done for a few minutes now.
